Don't miss this performance...it is memorable

by LarryManross on 1/19/22Chandler Center for the Arts - Chandler

The actor is so good you think you are listening to Winston Churchill. It is well organized and supplemented by slides and short videos. You will walk away refreshed

    A Great Peformance!

by Susie on 1/19/22Chandler Center for the Arts - Chandler

Randy Otto did a superb portrayal of Winston Churchill, Man of the Century, at Chandler Center for the Arts on Jan 26, 2022. The two hour one man performance was a history of the boy, the man, and the prime minister. He mastered the voice, the habits, and the dialogue as though Churchill himself was on stage. I thought the audience participation "Ask Winston" question time was a good midpoint stop before the Battle of Britain segment as the performance came to a close. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the show. We would definitely recommend it.

Good experience, but too short in actual performance

by dryheatAZ on 1/19/22Chandler Center for the Arts - Chandler

Overall a good experience but the performance was too short and too long on audience Q&A. It seemed that more focus should have been on Churchill's final days in office and what happened to him after he left public service. The portion of the show that focused on the bombing of London was way too long.

    Just right

by Expat Brit on 1/19/22Chandler Center for the Arts - Chandler

Randy Otto embodies Winston Churchill - the mannerisms, diction, and cadence of his speech, and he knows his subject well. Most importantly, he obviously has a deep affection for his subject, arguably the greatest Briton in history The management of the audiovisual portion (sound effects, slide transition) was sometimes poorly choreographed and detracted from the performance but that was most likely the Chandler Center for the Arts AV support. The Question-and-Answer section at the end of the performance added to the experience. And it was great to meet the artist afterwards!
