    Amazing show!

by Nicole C. on 4/10/24Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

Great scenery, amazing cast, all super professional! Definetly one of the most amazing musicals I've been too! It was also my friend's first Broadway musical and she also loved it! Hope to see more of these soon!!

Disappointing: Good show, poor sound quality

by Love live theatre on 4/9/24Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

The show was colourful, lively, great music, good choreography. Unfortunately I went on opening night and the sound was not perfected. We were on the ground level towards the back, and we couldn’t consistently hear the actors/actresses speaking or singing. Only in certain circumstances with the right voice and little background music could we make out what was being said. It got better after intermission but not perfect. Everyone in my group from 9 years to 48 years had the same issue with hearing. It was like a dress rehearsal but with full ticket price.

    Fun

The show was lively and fun. The sound was not great as sometimes you could not understand what the actors were saying. Actors were amazing so overall the show was great.

    Great Cast-Very Talented!

by Jokelta on 4/5/24Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

The show was great, cast very talented and I enjoyed the performance. The sound is not great. It only projects from the front so it's harder to hear the farther back you're sitting. This was at Queen Elizabeth Theatre.

    An Experience to Remember

by Barb on 4/3/24Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

I don't think words can do this production justice. Everything from the set, story, cast and singing was extraordinary. I almost cried during one of the songs because the vocals were so strong, you could feel it. The humor they added was spot on as well. If I had never seen a Broadway Play before, this would be the reason I would become a regular.

    Great show - disappointing sound.

by Curtis on 4/2/24Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

Show was great! Sets are very well done!! Visually beautiful! Acting, singing etc very, very good! Sound quality was the only disappointment. Sounded like a loud AM radio. Really hard to discern lyrics during the songs.

by Nana on 3/29/24Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

I brought my Granddaughter to Hairspray! From the beginning to the end we so enjoyed every part of the musical. Worth every penny and then some. If you get a chance to go see it...run don't walk, you won't be disappointed.

    I was bored

by Allergic to Snow on 3/27/24Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

My lady friend enjoyed it but I was bored. The story was somewhat interesting but the music just wasn’t my thing.

This show is ideal for everyone!

by Gentle giant on 2/12/24Stifel Theatre - St. Louis

The actors and actresses were very professional with what they do. They made it a fun experience for everyone. It was like a comedy, romance, drama, and of course, musical jammed into one. They never lost energy on stage either, they were all dancing and acting their hearts out nonstop. The way they moved really did reflect their passion for preforming arts and made it an overall great experience!

    Great cast, poor audio

by GjB on 2/11/24Stifel Theatre - St. Louis

Sitting in the top mezz, we couldn't hear the dialog from most of the performers, including Tracy. At intermission, I went to the Lobby in search of the House Manager. I found an employee and asked her to have them do something with the mics. The sound was a little better in the 2nd act. I can expect audio problems at a high school production, but not at a professional theater. The ushers stationed in my area should have reported the problem early-on. It was my first visit to the Stifel and I'm a little hesitant to return.
