My daughter and I love the book so we were excited to see this play. It did not disappoint! The actors were all incredible! We laughed and cried. One of the best!
Seeing the book come to life. I loved the cast and the set was fantastic, cried through the whole thing. Amazing.
It was wonderful! I would go to see it again! I also want to see the movie now
Difficult to hear actors dialogue especially when backs toward the audience. Are audio devices available to help?
The elocution and projection by the actors left much to be desired. It was as if the very talented cast was filming in an intimate sound stage, rather than performing for a large, live theater audience. Even had the theater background noise been less, the auditory quality of the production was abysmal. What a shame!
Play was a terrific combination of telling the story with timely humor inserted. I w ish acoustics at the VBC were better.

I thoroughly enjoyed the performance. It was a great pleasure to see Richard Thomas in the role of Atticus Finch, he owned it. The entire cast was flawless and the staging of the play was wonderful.
The performance was phenomenal! I loved the play. Our only complaint was that we had difficulty hearing. I’ve been to see performances before at Mark C Smith Concert Hall and this is the first time that the volume of sound was too low.

Humor well incorporated into a dark troubled time in the south. Well acted. The only downside was it was difficult to hear all the ddialoguein the back seats.
To Kill a Mockingbird was absolutely phenomenal. Richard Thomas was great as Atticus Finch! I wanted to see the play originally but when I saw that John Boy Walton was playing Atticus I bought 6 tickets 6 months in advance!
First, this play was viewed from the balcony. I say this because I think it played a part in my rating. I felt many moments of boredom. There seemed to be little passion in the delivery of lines. Many times it felt as if they were just being regurgitated as one might do after memorizing a list in school. That being said, I feel it may have come across better had I been close enough to see facial expressions. The best performance (a belief held by my whole party) was by the gentleman that played Tom Brown. Personally, I also enjoyed the energy brought to the play by Scout (played by Ms. Scout. how great is that!) Overall though I was entertained and enjoyed my time there. A pleasant experience but nothing to rave about. I've seen several plays more than once, this one...once is enough.
Wonderful show! The cast was amazing. This has always been on my bucket list to see, I have always loved the book. This play brought it all to life.
The production was excellent The actors were accurately portrayed as characters from the book. The stage set and lighting was very good. The sound had no issues and all voices could be heard. The venue was super comfortable with plenty of leg room.
The show was great but I and at least 3 others that I talked to in the lower balcony could not hear.
This classic play is worth seeing more than once. Loved the cast, the rapid smooth scenery changes and of course the provocative story.
While the show was even better than advertised, the sound at the theatre was terrible. After the show, that was what people were talking about. One of the ushers told me it was bad Friday and the theatre was working to fix it…. They should refund people since the poor sound system really destroyed a really great show….
Wonderful!! Bravo!! Well written, well acted!! Can’t say enough about this production. The actors were phenomenal, the costumes, and set designs were all marvelous!! A must see!!
