It was a fantastic experience! The Symphony was superb. It made the movie so much better than I've ever experienced before.
Enjoyed the live orchestra while watching the film again. Considering coming back for the next performance in the series!
This was our first symphony/movie experience, I received it as a Christmas present and was so excited to attend. The conductor as well as the symphony did not disappoint!! It held the attention if a 7 year old with adhd and an 11 year old on the Spectrum I could not have asked for a better experience!! Thank You!!
This was the first time watching the movie on the screen with a live orchestra and it was amazing.
My 14 yo daughter and I saw the show and loved it. We saw the first one last year and we plan to make this an annual tradition! The Orchestra is just lovely and the fun atmosphere is like nothing else! My only constructive criticism would be that they should sell popcorn!
The idea of listening to a live orchestra play the score to a fan favorite film sounds great, but it's not all it's cracked up to be. I kept waffling back and forth either trying to focus on the orchestra and their performance versus being sucked in to the moment of the movie. It was tough to do both. So if you're essentially watching the film again with an enhanced audio track is worth the cost? I don't think so. Honestly, I would rather have listened to the score as a true orchestral concert rather than this mash up.
Watching The Sorcerer’s Stone on the Big screen w/the dialogue, and the Phil playing the score was absolutely amazing! I was transported!! Being engaged in the film, then watching the conductor & the musicians elicited a visceral response to the story & the music. The intro w/John Williams talking about his creative process really gave a whole new level of appreciation. Let’s do it again!
This concert was absolutely amazing!! It is such a great movie any way but then to have the music live right there while you're watching is surreal. We can't wait to see the next one this next Fall.
We will be back for the next performance in 2025. We all loved the music and the film even our 9 year old granddaughter. We love to bring her to the Reno Phil performances to encourage her to continue her violin lessons. She is interested in trying out for the children’s symphony when she old enough.
