Eidola on Tour

Eccentric and energetic are only a few words to describe the environment to expect from an Eidola show. The experimental post-hardcore quintet is known for delivering a one-of-a-kind experience for concertgoers. With a wide range of abilities, including unclean vocals from Matthew Dommer, Eidola offers something for everyone who loves rock.

The multi-mix of styles, including math rock, post-rock, metalcore, and post-hardcore, has helped the band develop a devoted following amongst their fans.

Seeing Eidola live is a thing of beauty as the vocalists and instrumentalists weave in and out, producing perfect melodies and harmonies. There is something for everyone at the shows, as many of the band's songs feature everything from riffs and breakdowns to solos and sing-along choruses.

Eidola Live in Concert

The American rock band, Eidola, was founded in 2011 by four members -- Andrew Wells, James Johnson, Matthew Dommer, and Matthew Hansen. It didn't take long before they started to gain traction locally in Salt Lake City, quickly developing a devoted following. Thanks to their unique style, they also gained popularity online in a short amount of time.

In the beginning, Eidola was known on the hardcore punk scene for its energetic songs and unique live concert performance. However, they quickly began to adapt and add additional elements to their sound, leading up to the release of their first debut full-length album, The Great Glass Elephant, in late 2012.

As the band became more popular, they decided to add guitarist Brandon Bascom to assist with live performances. This addition allowed Wells to focus more on vocals and dedicate additional time to songwriting. With Bascom part of Eidola, the band released their second album, Degeneraterra, in 2015, which accompanied their first headlining tour.

Their 2022 tour celebrates the release of their 2021 album, The Architect. Prior to releasing their 2021 album, Eidola hadn't released a new album in almost four years, since 2017's To Speak, To Listen. During this time, Bascom left the band and was replaced with Sergio Medina.

The show was amazing. Royal Coda and Eidola were great. John Mesh even made a cameo and sang mutual fear with Andrew.

    Don’t Miss Out!

by Ali on 11/28/22The Foundry - Philadelphia

General admission yet was front row. Eidola sounds amazing live. Vocals, acoustics, just resonate raw talent. They’re going to blow up! Don’t miss the chance to tell tales of the epic experience to see them now. After the show, the members all came out to meet and greet. Got great pics and they’re humble and so loving of their fan base. Highly recommend. The Foundry is a small venue but it was cozy and comfortable. I had the time of my life! Thanks to Eidola and the rest of the bands performing. Also the bouncers, roadies, bar tenders, and sound crew! You guys rock too!!!!!!

    Set of favorite Swancore Bands!

by TheGourmet on 11/24/22Elevation 27 - Virginia Beach

I really enjoyed seeing the guys at Elevation 27! Never listened to Body Thief before seeing them live, but certainly heard their up and coming reputation, will definitely be checking out their discog. As a DGD fan of 10 years of course I was stoked to see Royal Coda, and they did not disappoint! I am a relatively new fan of Eidola (2019) but since I discovered them they are one of my favorite bands, so it was a great joy to see them live (and the Jon Mess feature was timeless, I will never forget seeing full Mutual Fear live)! Lastly, I’ve listened to Slaves in the past, but never really listened to Rain City Drive. After seeing their set I genuinely dig the pop-rock aspect and am listening through their discography now, and hopefully will be a new fan! Overall a great experience, I hope more bands visit the 757 Area of VA!
