Disney’s ALADDIN is a dazzling and extravagant showcase of special effects — including a flying magic carpet during “A Whole New World” — as well as glittering-gold costumes and art deco-style sets that mirror the grandeur of a Busby Berkeley musical. One of Broadway’s most popular musical comedies, the show opened at the legendary New Amsterdam Theatre on March 20, 2014, and has since broken numerous house records (grossing over $500 million on Broadway). Eight-time Oscar winner Alan Menken composed the show’s music. The lyrics are by two-time Oscar winner Howard Ashman (Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid), as well as three-time Tony Award and three-time Oscar winner Tim Rice and six-time Tony Award nominee Chad Beguelin. The book is by Beguelin and direction/choreography is by two-time Tony Award-winner Casey Nicholaw.

The show was amazing. Loved the music and the actors. Only thing I would change was the seats because on the mezzanine the view wasn’t the best. This is definitely one of the best musical I’ve seen
Great cast with a special shout-out to „genie“! Beautiful costumes and set. We were a group ranging in ages from 10 To 81, and all had a great time.
Very talented performers, awesome costumes, romantic.
This night out was a Birthday surprise for my teenage son. The seats had a very good view of the full stage even though they were in the lower price range. We both thoroughly enjoyed the show. Good singing, dancing and special effects. The carpet scene was very well done. I would recommend this show to friends and family.
Such a wonderful show with a super talented cast and crew! Loved every second from beginning to end! Even with a cast change in the middle due to illness, the energy on stage never slowed down. I loved it so much!
This was my favorite Disney movie as a child. I was looking forward to this play because of friends’ reviews (from years ago). We went with a group who had seen it before as well, that raved about the pre-pandemic performance. They said this time around it was just not the same. Furthermore, many of the actors didn’t look like they wanted to be there…maybe it’s because this play has been going for so long. The play lacked the magical touch that is Disney. I wouldn’t recommend.
The show started off with built dark skin Aladdin that had abs but then they had to switch mid show to a white skin Aladdin with beer belly show was great tho .. good thing they had a back up actor other wise they would of had to cancel the show . I'm sad because it was my first Broadway
I’ve chosen the cheapest ticket behind pipe so I was aware that the view would be compromised and the seat was quite uncomfortable, too small to be able to move myself to a better and comfortable position. Luckily the show was amazing and I forgot about the rest!
It was an incredible evening with my family. The performance was seamless and worth every penny.
It was very entertaining. Enjoyed the songs, dances , music, dialogues, all the characters were great.
Aladdin is one of the best Broadway plays I have ever seen! I was disappointed it had to end.
All of my years of going to Broadway shows, Aladdin jumped to the top of my list. The genie had alot of energy throughout the production and the special effects was awesome.
Aladdin was absolutely amazing!! We recently saw The Lion King and Hamilton, but four out of five members of my family think Aladdin was the best!!!! The Genie stole the show! So many fun surprises in the performance. The production was just wonderful!!! Note: one of my daughters is a HUGE Hamilton fan so I don’t think we’ll ever convince her that Aladdin was the best of the three Broadway shows we have seen, but she did admit that the Aladdin production was stellar! We love, love, loved this performance!
The show from the beginning to the end was awesome, something that everyone no matter the age would enjoy with an awws, wows and clapping, singing and laughing. Best show ever.
Colorful, Fast Moving, very Entertaining. Outstanding Performers!!
As a guy that doesn’t usually like musicals this one was by far the best. Lots of humor and great actors.
Highly recommended for all ages. So many talented people all at once, beautiful costumes and even more beautiful theater. What a pleasant experience.
Everything about this show was spectacular! Acting, singing, costumes, dancing, amount of effort put into to the decor/effects, live music by orchestra under the stage….everything was just beautiful, it couldn’t have been done better!
It exceeded my expectations from start to end. The stage set, the props, costumes, tricks and the vocal talent was incredible, I'd recommend it a must see to any Disney/Aladdin fan or anyone just looking for a fun, entertaining broadway show.
