Witty, funny, raunchy and provocative! Need more of this.
Sexy Liberals Rock! Watch them on Current tv. Fun!
Great show, the hosts do an amazing job with their solo bits, and the final group chat makes for a great ending. Then, we had VIP tickets, so we got to meet the cast. That was insanely cool.
Non Stop laughing. I would highly suggest it to anybody.
Steph, John, and Hal were all hilarious and witty. They each do some stand up on their own and then close with some banter together. If you are into politics you'll love this show.
Had a great time, laughed, and enjoyed an amazing night in a packed theater of like-minded people. I would highly recommend seeing this show!
The Sexy Liberal Tour is amazing! Hal and John are great performers and Stephanie is hilarious and such a physical presenter. My husband laughed until we hurt.
Family fun for all, when the family is comprised of adults. The Chicago All Stars Blues Band opened with featured vocalists. Excellent! There is still nothing like live music. Mom and Dad were dancing in the aisle. Kids had to tell them to simmer down. John Fugelsang and Hal Sparks were so very funny. Our sides split and abdominals cramped. Stephanie Miller, the Grand Dame of the evening, was her lovely, sexy self. If you know her from her radio show, you will know what I mean. Quick witted, cheeky, naughty, raunchy, personable, she was well rested after a week off and up to date on current events. We all just loved it, loved it, loved it. I would definitely attend a tour again when and wherever possible.
Stephenie seemed to be on vacation . She had to use notes the whole time.
There were basically five parts to this show: The Chicago Blues Allstars (or a similar name), John Fuegelsang, Hal Sparks, Stephanie Miller, and a brief panel with the three comedians. The band played music while people were being seated, and a little bit after most people had taken their seats. They were competent musicians, played some fun songs, and had some singers performing with them. Nothing amazing, but certainly a decent opener. As for the actual point of the show, the comedy, I feel that the comedians performed in reverse order of their talent/ability. That is, John Fuegelsang performed first and was the best, while Stephanie performed last and was the least entertaining. John is the wittiest, and has some really intelligent jokes, and comes across as the one speaking the most honest, deepest truth. Hal Sparks is also quite intelligent and makes good points. His style is a bit different than John's, using more physical comedy and story-telling. Stephanie also makes some great points but isn't quite as suave as the others; she had notes written down on a piece of paper to her side while she was sitting and looked at them a decent bit. Basically, she lacked the showmanship of the other performers. The brief panel at the end was good, getting to talk about some issues with members of the audience and with each other.
All three performers are amazing! Go even if you've seen the show before. The material changes, the enthusiasm and hilarity do not. Take friends of all political backgrounds and get fired up for election season!
Best.Show.Ever...No other description is needed. I will go every time the show comes to Chicago! Stephanie Miller, John Fugelsang, and Hal Sparks are the best at what they do!
Great positive messages, lots of humor. Go. Take your friends. Take your family.
The only down side was the show went by so fast. I wanted it to go on another 2 hours. Really liked the show, the subject matter and all the characters. John, Hal and Steph were hilarious and spot on with the material. I would definitely go see them again. The band playing before the show was fantastic.
stephanie miller hal sparks and john fugelsang were wonderful
John and Hal delivered smart, well-thought-out, fast-paced and funny performances. Spot-on. As for our beloved and beautiful Stephanie, what's with the crib notes? Her constant referral to papers on a musician stand were distracting, but furthermore seemed irrelevant, as her material seemed entirely made up on the spot. While we love her quck wit and spontenaity on the radio, it didn't work so well on the stage. We expected more than just random blasts of liberal jargon in that setting, considering the price of tickets and the long ride to get there. Still love you, Stephanie, but henceforth we'll stick to the radio.
Once a person has figured out that the Republican Party is full of hypocrites and liers with a clown car full of Republican Presidential Candidates in tow the Stephanie Miller Sexy Liberal Comedy Show will help drive home that point in the most hilarious , entertaining yet educational and thought provoking way possible. This show is a home run!
Chicago's Sexy Liberal tour stint was a fun night. First, Mama Stephanie,John, and Hal are all as sexy as they look on the album cover -- how Mama stays in such shape at 50 is a mystery. As for the show itself, my husband and I loved John Fugelsang. He was funny, insightful, and totally entertaining. My husband said that he alone was worth the price of a ticket, and I have to agree. Hal seemed a little off, like he was having trouble concentrating. He was still funny, don't get me wrong -- his bit about the dinosaurs uniting warring peoples on earth was hysterical. But he didn't hit a bullseye every time. Mama did not have a brilliant night. I hate to say that, because I adore Stephanie, but she was even more distracted than Hal. She kept looking at her notes but seemed to have trouble deciding what to say. I guess if I were touring and doing a daily radio show like she is I'd be pretty tired and have difficulty focusing too. She was funny, though -- her example of the supposed process of Limbaugh in the bedroom was a riot. All in all, my husband and I were both glad we went, but we were a bit disappointed that Hal and Stephanie weren't more focused. Still, anyone who loves Mama's show should get to the Sexy Liberal tour. You'll be glad you did.
I thought the two male comics were awesome. I was excited to hear Stephanie, but her performance consisted of her stumbling over a spiral notebook full of notes. She seemed to lose her place a lot, and there was no flow to her act. I was very disappointed. I would gladly see the males again but would pass on stephanie.
