    Darius outplayed my expectations!

by Ndomakong on 11/1/11Veterans Memorial Coliseum - Phoenix

I knew this would be a good concert but, I didn't expect it to be a great concert that it was! Darius Rucker is an awesome entertainer. He has the perfect voice for country music and he included some of his greatest hits from Hootie and the Blowfish. The crowd was very into the music. I hope he continues to do well in country music because it would be shame not to have a talented musician as him not singing for us for years to come.

Bret Michaels can do no wrong

by 22LALA22 on 10/31/11Veterans Memorial Coliseum - Phoenix

The fact that I am absolutely in love with bret and his music should say it all! He played the best of the best of his records, plus covered "sweet home alabama" and "what i got." This concert will make you feel alive no matter how old you are. I took my 14 year old sister and we sat next to a couple in their 40's and rocked out together singing every song and screaming at the top of our lungs. I will see Bret every year for the rest of my life.

Thank you Darius for the best concert of my life

by 22LALA22 on 10/31/11Veterans Memorial Coliseum - Phoenix

I saw Darius before when he performed on the H2O tour, and when I found out he was going to be at the state fair I bought tickets opening day. He has one of the best voices I have ever heard and put on an amazing show. Def one of the best shows i've ever seen in my life, and def one i'll be talking about for years to come.

    Bret rocks the house!

by 85251Heavenly on 10/31/11Veterans Memorial Coliseum - Phoenix

Going in to see Bret Michaels, I wasn't sure what to expect. But he rocked the house with some old Poison, and a mix of his newer rockin stuff. He played a few ballads that made me reminisce, lol. and He seemed generally in great spirits, and grateful to be alive. He talked about the music room at the Neuro. institute and said it was one of the greatest days of his life. You could see his daughters dancing on the sidelines, and he brought them out for the encore to " jump" together on the count of 3. They were so cute! But I was a little confused, I thought he had 2 girls, and there were 4 on stage,? Hmmm... anyway, He had a lot of energy and enthusiasm, and put on a great rock and roll show!

    Darius Rucker was great!

by ekl3 on 10/31/11Veterans Memorial Coliseum - Phoenix

My wife and I had a great time at Darius Rucker's show. The guy was great live positive, full of energy and never stopped smiling. The venue was intimate and it seemed that there was not a bad seat in the house. Darius was humble and thanked everyone for coming out to his show numerous times. He even played various Hootie and the blowfish songs in between his country songs. Would definitely give the performance 5 stars!

    Bret Michaels brings it home!

by Wilstar on 10/30/11Veterans Memorial Coliseum - Phoenix

A real rock star. Knows how to please a crowd. Played a few Poison hits, a few classic rockers and a couple of new songs. Good set, but only 1 hour 15 minutes. I wished it was longer!

by PJAZ on 10/30/11Veterans Memorial Coliseum - Phoenix

My daughter and I danced and sang standing almost the entire show. What charisma he has. The energy was just amazing. His band members are great musicians too, which always make for a great show.

Little short for a concert but still love Bret Michaels. He rocks it. Also we support him and the diabetes association since we have a family member that is a type 1 diabetic.

    same as last year

by Anonymous on 10/30/11Veterans Memorial Coliseum - Phoenix

i recently went to two shows at the az. state fair . one being brett michaels and the other being judas priest . i was very dissapointed with the brett michaels show as it was mostly the same show as last year and only lasted for little over an hour which was the same as last year . while i realize he has limited material and it was the state fair i feel i was ripped off ffor this event as it cost 26.25 per ticket and 10.00 for fair admission per person ( 72.50 overall for me and my wife ). on the other hand however , i purchased 3 tickets for judas priest and was not dissapointed with their show in any way . not only did they play for well over 2 hrs. , they played alot of their old stuff ( including green manileshee ) they sounded great and put on one hell of a show . i would give them a five star rating for sure . rob , even though he didn't move around like he use too sounded as good as he ever did and the band was very tight and alot of crowd participation . what a great show and well worth the money spent .
