    Perfect..for a Sophmore visit!!

by cmackIII on 10/20/10Veterans Memorial Coliseum - Phoenix

I became a fan after The Script had visited Arizona the first time.. short by 2 months. After falling in love with their song "The Man Who Can't Be Moved" I vowed I would see them if they came back. I got 5th row tickets and scratches on my left arm from my friend screaming and grabbing me with excitement, as we watched the 3 boys, with an added guitar player Rock the House down. I loved every minute of it. The sound was great..I loved the energy and most important to hear them be just as good as the cd they put out. If not better because I was emotionally drawn in to the music and lyrics. Great Job Guys!!!

    B-52's

by cactusblossom on 10/19/10Veterans Memorial Coliseum - Phoenix

Morris Day and the Time was a fantastic show in itself. I think they stole the show. The B-52's were energetic and kept the audience going. The acoustics at the Coliseum are a little harsh. We were right up front in prime seats and we couldn't hear the words they were singing.

The group was absolutely awesome. I was disappointed that more people didn't attend, but it sure made it great for those of us there.

    Fantastic Party!

by MysaNal on 10/19/10Veterans Memorial Coliseum - Phoenix

Opening act Morris Day and The Time had everyone grooving and dancing for their 45 minutes. I knew a few of their songs, but their stage presence is fabulous! This was my 4th time seeing The B52s and they just keep getting better! A mix of old favorites and songs from the new cd, the audience was dancing and singing and having a terrific time all the way through! Best Party of the year! Unfortunately, the coliseum has terrible sound and it was tough to hear the words to the songs because of the feedback.

    Awesome Concert

by CareBear07 on 10/19/10Veterans Memorial Coliseum - Phoenix

The Script sounded amazing. They had high energy and great interaction with the crowd. The singer even came down into the crowd and walked around and had the fans sing into the mic. They played some of their old song and few new songs off their new album that has yet to be released in the US. The newer songs sounded great. I cant wait to buy the new CD once it is released. This is the second time I have seen them and I will see them everytime they come back to Phoenix. Great job guys! Keep making amazing music.

B-52's can still Dance this Mess Around!

by shootathought on 10/18/10Veterans Memorial Coliseum - Phoenix

They've been around the block a few times, but Fred, Keith, Cindy, and Kate all still have the pipes that we all know and love. Performing timeless favorites like "Rock Lobster", "Planet Claire", "Private Idaho", and, of course, "Love Shack", the B-52's still put on a helluva show, making even inductees get up and dance. I brought my 10-year-old daughter and my 60-year-old mother to the show, and there wasn't a still body in the row. The music still rocks, and if you haven't seen them before or have seen them 20 times, you shouldn't miss the opportunity to see them again.

    still rockin'

by sapphistry on 10/18/10Veterans Memorial Coliseum - Phoenix

Well we have all gotten older but the band is still as exciting as they always were. Kate pierson is my moms age and at 62 she had the energy of a twenty yr old. It was nice to see an 80s band perform without being on coke laced geritol! Rock on!

    awesome in AZ

by CheezBoy on 10/18/10Veterans Memorial Coliseum - Phoenix

i've wanted to see these guys live for a long time. their musicianship has always been impressive. it's a bummer of life--we (mortals) all get older. but if you're a member of the B-52s, age has no effect on your ability to sing & play your butts off & please the crowds. these guys had the old veterans coliseum positively vibrating!

B-52's and Morris Day & The Time

by Anonymous on 10/18/10Veterans Memorial Coliseum - Phoenix

We had the greatest time. Our seats were perfect. Our 14yr old son went with us. His 1st concert. He said he had an awesome time. Both groups were amazing. Morris, being his dapper self, was everything in 2010 as he was in 1984. His comment on " Condensation" was great. Our son thought that was cool. So now he doesnt "sweat", he "condensates",..LOL. We sincerely hope BOTH groups continue to tour. the B-52's are one of my and my husbands favorite bands. They were everything we hoped for. I was hoarse and my feet hurt from standing and dancing..Highly recommend seeing them to all !!!!!!!!!..WHAT "TIME" IS IT?????

    B52's Still Got It!

by Greenblazer on 10/18/10Veterans Memorial Coliseum - Phoenix

Hello, I consider myself a fan of the B 52's. I may not be a fanatical fan, but I am a fan who has seen them in concert twice, and owns 4 of their albums(B52's, Bouncing Off The Satellites, Cosmic Thing, and Good Stuff). I want to add more to my collection especially the older stuff, but the new stuff too. After all these years the B 52's were still a great performance, but the sound quality of this show left a little to be desired. It may have been where I was sitting. Instead of settling for the free seats, I paid for reserved seats. Their vocals, keyboards, and even the guitar were often drowned out by the drums and bass. The drummer was good, but I had difficulty hearing the best parts of their music(Vocals & Keyboards). I see two possible scenarios that may have caused this. The sound guy was a guy used to mixing for heavy metal acts and didn't know what he was doing, or the pa system was tuned for only the people with floor seats. I am inclined to believe it was the latter of the two possibilities. I was in the risers off to the right, and I was often frustrated by the poor sound. I have nothing bad to say about the band, I love them and think that they are awesome. The B 52's still got the stuff, and I am grateful that they are still touring. -Greenblazer

    So much fun!

by KTinPhx on 10/18/10Veterans Memorial Coliseum - Phoenix

So much fun to be in the presence of people who are unapologetically just being themselves, doing what they love. And, they still sound great!
