ARCHITECTS IN CONCERT:

Over the past decade, British metalcore outfit Architects has steadily risen through the ranks to become one of the genre's most potent and revered forces. The band's socially conscious message and blistering sound come together perfectly at their live shows, where the face-melting screams and growls of frontman Sam Carter drive home pointed lyrics about the perils of religious extremism, global warming, and oceanic collapse. Ticket buyers can't help but rock out as the band thrashes through heavy-hitting anthems like "These Colours Don't Run" and "Gravedigger", making for an adrenaline-filled concert experience that does fitting justice to the band's aggressive sound.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Architects was formed in Brighton, UK in 2004 by guitarist Tom Searle and his twin brother, drummer Dan. They brought on vocalist Matt Johnson, guitarist Tim Hiller-Brook, and bassist Tim Lucas, and in 2006 they released their debut album Nightmare. Johnson left the band shortly after the album's release, and Sam Carter -- the band's current frontman -- quickly stepped in to fill his shoes. Architects lost no time with Carter, whose personal approach to songwriting marked a new direction for the band, and in 2007 they released their sophomore album Ruin. That record led to the band's first US tour, and their high-octane performances on the road helped earn them a substantial stateside fanbase. In 2008 Architects signed to Century Media Records, and in 2009 they made their debut on the label with their third album Hollow Crown. That album marked their first appearance on the UK Albums Chart -- a feat they would repeat with their next three albums, including 2014's Lost Forever // Lost Together, which peaked at No. 16. A bone-shattering live act known for their heavy sound and Carter's melodic roar, Architects continues to deliver sweltering performances on tour.

  • Absolute banger of a concert

by Hai on 7/30/25House of Blues Dallas - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

The Sky, The Earth and All between sums up the experience of this concert. Songs such as meteor that were more radio esque ended up being monstrous live when it came to the band and crowd interactions. Architects is without a doubt the real deal when it comes to a live show.

  • Horrible tickets

by Sirius XM cheap tickets on 7/30/25House of Blues Dallas - DallasRating: 1 out of 5

When I won these tickets in a Sirius XM contest I thought WOW these will be great seats...nope. General Admission no seats and I didn't even get tickets until 2 days before

  • Amazing!

The set was a really good length, and they sound amazing live!

  • Amazing live

by Tea on 7/30/25House of Blues Dallas - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

I love this band they are unfairly underrated. The are one of a few bands I can say sound better live. They truely give you the full experience of their songs. I love how appreciate they are of their fans and when they are in Texas they ask the fans to sing "the stars at night are big and bright deep in the heart of Texas". They are worth every penny.

  • A Great Band Deserves a Better View: Architects at HOB

by E.H. on 7/29/25House of Blues Houston - HoustonRating: 4 out of 5

A Great Band Deserves a Better View: Architects at House of Blues Houston Architects absolutely brought the house down with their performance, delivering a powerful and unforgettable show that I'd easily rate a 9/10. Their energy was incredible, and the sound was fantastic – at least, when I could see and hear them clearly. Unfortunately, my experience was significantly hampered by the venue itself. While the House of Blues Houston is undoubtedly great if you're lucky enough to secure a spot directly in front of the stage, it becomes an almost entirely different, and frankly atrocious, experience for anyone else. It felt like only a couple hundred people could comfortably fit into the prime viewing area, leaving the vast majority of concert-goers struggling. My main concern lies with the design of the venue, specifically the obstructive "sound stage"and "VIP"areas. These structures feel like they're placed purely to maximize profit, squeezing more money out of patrons at the expense of the overall concert experience. They create significant visual and spatial barriers, making it incredibly difficult to see the performers and truly engage with the show, even for those who arrived early. It negatively impacts the immersive experience that both the artists and the audience deserve. Something genuinely needs to be done to address these structural impediments. Eliminating or significantly reconfiguring the sound stage and VIP areas would go a long way in making the House of Blues Houston a truly conducive venue for all concert-goers, not just a select few. As it stands, while the bands are often phenomenal, the venue itself is a major drawback. Show: 9/10 Venue: 3/10

  • Such a fun show

by Samantha on 7/28/25The Fillmore Charlotte - CharlotteRating: 5 out of 5

Second time seeing Architects and they did not disappoint. Erra and Holywatr were fantastic openers. All three bands put on a great show despite how hot it was inside the venue with the A/C not working

  • Awesome show

by Matt on 7/26/25Buckhead Theatre - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Architects were great. Lead singer was very interactive with the crowd and sounded great with great special affects.

  • Rock & Sweat

by MJ on 7/24/25The Fillmore Charlotte - CharlotteRating: 4 out of 5

Amazing show!! Only complaint is about the venue. I don't think I've ever been inside a hotter, sweatier building/room. People were begging for water. The only time you could feel the air move was when a pit opened up!

  • Hotter than hell

by Chad on 7/24/25The Fillmore Charlotte - CharlotteRating: 1 out of 5

The band was great but it was cooler outside in July than it was inside! They definitely need to fix or make a major overhaul on the HVAC system for a better experience to hot to enjoy the show I left early because of the venue

  • The best concert I’ve been to

by Vindi on 12/5/24Rating: 5 out of 5

Went to see them in Indianapolis in September of 2024 and they were the best band I’ve ever seen. The light show was amazing! They sounded just like they did in the studio

  • Awesome show

by Ron on 10/8/24Uptown Theater - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

The show was great, for a Monday night show the Architects really brought the energy. The production crew were top notch with resolving technical issues quickly and the Architects taking it all in stride. Would highly recommend them if you get a chance to see them as they do not come to the U.S. too often but it's definitely worth the wait. Ten out of ten show

  • Would absolutely love to see them again!

by Taffer on 10/7/24Uptown Theater - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

These guys are hella fun with their British humor and super honest/down to earth about their beginning and journey. Every song was full of energy and emotion, they engaged the audience and their stage presence is hella cool. Go see them!

  • Always a good time

Architects is always amazing live. Brutus was incredible, first time seeing them.

  • Needs more Brutus

by SonicDeathTaco on 10/3/24Uptown Theater - Kansas CityRating: 4 out of 5

I was super excited for this show as it was the first time Brutus was playing a show in my area. I've been following Brutus since their first album. I was starting to think I was going to need to move back to Europe to see them live; economics of touring in the United States being what they are (no thanks to certain parasitic ticket monopolist [rhymes with picket faster]). Brutus was only allotted 30 minutes, and they were the best 30 minutes of the show. Architects are not really my thing, We Came as Romans are essentially a metal flavored boy-band, but Brutus, BRUTUS!!! More Brutus please, I need to see them play Cemetery live.

  • Architects put on an amazing show

Brutus and We Came as Romans were equally great. Worth it!

I was on the rail. It was so good. Very entertaining. He can go from singing to low and high growls in one sentence. One of the best shows!
