For 30 years Anthrax has been bringing the noise and treating ticket buyers to aggressive, fist-pumping music. Blistering guitars and double-pedal drums are only the beginning. Anthrax combines elements of punk, funk, hardcore and rap into their sound, and its stage presence on tour is more frat party run amuck and less fire and brimstone metal. The bandâs use of humor sets them apart from their contemporaries as Scott Ian, typically dressed for an Anthrax concert in shorts and t-shirt, looks like he should be on a surfboard or at the skate park. Their newest LP Worship Music was released in 2011 debuted at No. 12 on the Billboard 200.
Anthraxâs story began in 1981, when the guitarist Scott Ian and then bassist Danny Lilker looked through a biology textbook in search of a moniker for their New York City thrash-metal band. Classic 1980s albums Fistful of Metal and Spreading the Disease cemented Anthraxâs signature stomp and crush sound, churning up mosh pits and sending waves of concert goers into a head-banging frenzy. Anthraxâs biggest crossover hit is âBring the Noise,â a 1991 collaboration with Pubic Enemy. Not only did this metal/rap hybrid get serious airtime on MTV, but it is also credited for being a genre-defining moment in music and setting the groundwork for a genre known as ânu metal.â Artists are still giving a shout out to the seminal song; this is best illustrated in M.I.A.âs new album âMatangi,â which has a song tilted âBring the Noize.â The crossover hit from the 1990s is still crossing over today â and the band is still as great as they've ever been.

It's been a minute since I have been to a metal show. Exodus in true fashion tore that place up. I wasn't familiar with BLS but did love their tribute to Dime and Vinnie. Anthrax had a stage show fit for an arena. Their sound was crisp and Joey sounded amazing.
Good organization, easy access ( In and out), great show...
Anthrax laid the wood in Houston 2023. Just a killer performance. I was completely floored by Joey's performance. He's got no business being able to sing like that in his 60's. I thought it was 1987 again.
I've seen Anthrax twice. The first time they blew Megadeth & Slayer out of the water. This time they blew Exodus and Black Label Society out of the water. Amazing stage show, spot on performance. The greatest thrash band of ALL TIME.
Easy access, smoke area, decent drink prices and great sound. BLS sounded perfect and Anthrax looked huge
Had a blast with my pops for his early bday present , i believe my spirit is still cought in a mosh
Anthrax put on a perfect show. Great set list and performance kicked ask. BLS was an outstanding match for opener. Will definitely go see those bands next time they come through. Thanks gents!
Had a great time with friends. The staff was great. Anthrax, Black label and Exodus. Wow what a great show. We will difinetly go back for more shows to come. Thanks đ€đŒ
Too much fighting and kicking spiting and no respect for others.
I have loved Anthrax from day 1 and this is why! They put on an awesome show now and every time!
Overall it was good exodus BLS and Anthrax put on a great show
Amazing performance from a legendary American thrash metal band! Great song writers, great songs, great performance, great energy, great sound!!
It's friggin Anthrax, Black Label Society, and Exodus. It was badass, duh. I had ringing ears for the next few hours after the concert
Very fun show but I like to get to the front and I donât understand why people go to the front with drinks why they know theyâre gonna be people moshing and jumping up and down so they end up spilling it on people. But overall great event
Everything was great. for example, the show( of course), the pit, and the place where i was standing in. I only had one problem with a person trying to get me out of where i was. But overall it was an amazing experience
This is our 3rd time seeing Anthrax in the past 3-4 years, and they come with the SAME energy I remember from when I was a kid. Just a fantastic, fun time.I will rarely pass up the opportunity to see them live! <3
Anthrax kicked ass and sounded great. I can not wait to see them again.
The Anthrax show was awesome from start to finish. The opening bands fired up the crowd with powerful performances. The best part was the video tribute that really put into perspective how influential and dedicated Anthrax is to giving their fans and the world the most genuine music experience a lover of rock and metal could ever want in their lifetime. My hope is that I can see them in concert again.
All bands were great, but ANTHRAX was ANTHRAX, 40 YRS. AND COUNTING!
