Anthony Hamilton Background

Before getting his Grammy and churning out hits like "Charlene" and "Can't Let Go," Anthony Hamilton started singing from a young age and got his start in the church choir. Hamilton was born on January 28th, 1971, and is a native of Charlotte, North Carolina -- a core influence of his Southern neo-soul musical style. Hamilton also draws his musical influences from R&B greats, including Michael Jackson. After moving to New York City in the 1990s and moving between record labels, Hamilton finally created a name for himself with his fourth album in 2003, which featured the musical hit "Charlene." Hamilton's influence extends beyond music into the public sphere through his speaking and advocacy opportunities as a CASA spokesperson, which allows him to raise awareness about the foster care system.

    Anthony Hamilton

by May on 4/17/24Atrium Health Amphitheater - Macon

The venue is beautiful, but the concert was not easily assessible. The set up was not good at all. I had a much better view at the coliseum. This out door venue is for picnics only, not a performance.

    Awesome show

by Glo on 4/17/24Atrium Health Amphitheater - Macon

The event as a whole was great. Everyone in my group enjoyed all of the performances. The venue itself could use some improvements because there were no monitors for people on the lawn to see the performances (unless you brought binoculars) when people stood up.

    Tv Screens

by Miko82 on 4/17/24Atrium Health Amphitheater - Macon

The show was nice overall it would be great if we could bring in the regular lawn chairs instead of the beach chairs and it would be a great idea to add at least two tv Screens to each corner of the stage to get a better view of the performance for the people sitting on the lawn

    Interesting

by XXX on 4/16/24Atrium Health Amphitheater - Macon

The 6pm gate opening did not open till 6:20. The 9"chair rule didn't apply for all gates. One side was strict using a ruler, the other gate let in all size chairs. Vendor prices was a bit high. The performances were so/so on timing. The DJ played a lot of filler music waiting on the performers. We did like Anthony Hamilton.

    Disappointed in venue...

by CJR on 4/16/24Atrium Health Amphitheater - Macon

The doors were supposed to open at 6 p.m. We stood in line close to 40 minutes before they started letting us in. They had sent an email earlier in the week saying we had to have the little beach chairs. Well, my group of friends is over 50 and we have back issues. Yet we went and purchased the little beach chairs but realized they let a lot of people come in with the regular sized chairs. If we go again, we will just sit in the reserved section and not worry about the chairs. Also, why don't they have big screens on the side of the stage?? People stood in front of us so we could not see most of the show...mainly because it was either sit down low in the beach chairs or stand up. Like I mentioned, we have back issues. Food was terrible!!! Also need to have someone clean the bathrooms frequently. Leela's sound was off. I give this concert a 7 out of 10. Venue needs to make adjustments as necessary. Esp if you say doors open at 6 pm. Do better! We are not children. This was a crowd with average age of 50.
