Ann Wilson on Tour

Widely regarded as one of the greatest vocalists of all time, Ann Wilson is back to remind the world why she is the queen of the rock and roll stage. A true icon, Wilson is known around the blog as lead singer and songwriter of the groundbreaking rock band, Heart, who have thrilled audiences far and wide for over four decades. Following the release of her 2022 solo album, Fierce Bliss, Wilson is hitting the road to rock hearts across the U.S. with her one-of-a-kind voice and classic songs. Inspired by legendary American rock singer Janis Joplin, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee has maintained classic showmanship over the years, going on tours and even venturing to the big screen in a feature film about her life with the 2017 documentary, Ann Wilson: In Focus. With one of the most powerful vocal ranges in music, Wilson has perfectly blended rock, opera, pop, and folk music, resulting in the versatility of her sound. Ann Wilson Live in Concert

Ann Wilson was born in San Diego, California, but due to the nature of her father's military career -- a former Marine who was also a musician and singer who once led the U.S. Marine Corps band -- the Wilson family moved around a lot before settling in Seattle, Washington. Ann Wilson first gained fame in the 1970s as the lead singer for Heart, the rock band formed in 1963 by bassist Steve Fossen and brothers Roger Fisher and Mike Fisher. In 1974, Ann's sister, Nancy Wilson, joined the band on guitar. With her powerful vocals, Ann Wilson scored several hits for Heart, including "Crazy on You" and "Magic Man" -- both of which were co-written by the Wilson sisters -- from the band's debut album, Dreamboat Annie. Heart went on to sell more than 35 million records and earned an induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013.

In 2007, Ann Wilson released her first solo album, Hope and Glory, featuring inventive covers of songs by artists who inspired her own music. The album features guest appearances by artists including Shawn Colvin, Elton John, Wynonna Judd, Alison Krauss, k.d. lang, and Rufus Wainwright. Her sophomore solo album, 2018's Immortal, features unique covers of songs by artists who have passed on, including David Bowie, Leonard Cohen, Chris Cornell, Tom Petty, Amy Winehouse, and more. In 2022, Wilson released her third solo album, Fierce Bliss. Ann Wilson continues to be considered as one of the greatest singers of all time, paving the way for new generations of female rock vocalists.

    FANTASTIC

by MPRATS on 12/8/23Lillian S. Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft Lauderdale

This was such a great show. Ann still has a strong voice, granted a little weaker than used to be but still quite powerful! A wonderful selection of Heart material ie: "Magic Man","Straight On","Love Alive"etc. She also did some very good numbers from her new album. The best of which were "Rain of Hell"and "Miss One and Only". But for me Ann and her band really shone on the cover songs. Scorching versions of "Love Reign O'er Me", "Lets Dance"and 3, count 'em 3 Led Zeppelin songs! But for me the absolute best song of the evening was their version of John Lennons "Isolation". Just beautiful. If and when she tours again, go see her. You wont be disappointed.

I loved seeing Ann Wilson, it was a lot of fun. I must say that the tickets were not overpriced like many other established artists. She sang a lot of good songs both old & new.

Play more of your hits from Heart!

by Bull on 12/8/23Lillian S. Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft Lauderdale

Venue was great. Too bad she did not sing more of her Heart Hits. I would have preferred at least 11 or 12 of the songs be the hits from Heart!

    She still got it!

by Miles S on 12/8/23Lillian S. Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft Lauderdale

It was one of the better concerts I’ve ever been to. The venue at The Parker is a great place to see a concert because it’s very easy in and out and very comfortable and relatively small. Ann Wilson sounded fantastic and exactly like she has her whole life. She threw in some Led Zeppelin and The Who and also many of hearts big hits. It was one of those concerts that you walk away from and say “that was fantastic “ my wife and I loved it and if she came again, I would definitely go see it again.

Great way to spend an evening.

by nsribner on 12/8/23Lillian S. Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft Lauderdale

Ann Wilson can still belt out a song. She struggled with some of the higher end notes, but still good. However, the band was awesome, seriously talented musicians make up this little known band, they didn’t miss a nuance, solo, beat of Hearts music. Nancy would definitely approve of the guitar players. With the costs of concerts today, this was a bargain. Great entertainment at a reasonable cost.

    Iconic Ann

by Tito on 12/8/23Lillian S. Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft Lauderdale

Even though Ann sounded a little under the weather, she still was as iconic as ever. Belting out rock classics, including her own. As well her new music. The band was insync and with a high level of guitar play.

    Voice gets better and better

by Johnny on 12/8/23Lillian S. Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft Lauderdale

I first saw HEART in 1976 in Pittsburgh. I see every concert in South Florida. Ann’s voice gets better with age. I’d love to see her and Nancy perform together again. I give this concert a 5 star rating!!

    What a show!!!

by Ladydragonfly12 on 12/5/23Old National Events Plaza - Evansville

Event was well organized and Ann and Tripsitter were totally awesome!!! The crowd responded the most to Heart classics, but Ann's lyrics and vocals of songs from the new album were stellar as well. I just love Another Door! Thoroughly enjoyed the night!

    She still has it!

by Mdga on 12/4/23Old National Events Plaza - Evansville

Ann sounded as good as listening to her in the 70s and 80s. She sang her biggest hits as well as some new ones. Her band Tripsitter was excellent and could go up against any other well known band.

Ann Wilson still amazing at 73!

by Dino on 12/4/23Old National Events Plaza - Evansville

Great concert in a nice venue. Ann still has a hell of a voice at 73! She struggled a bit here and there but wow! Lots of classic Heart songs, some original Tripsitter songs which are pretty good, and some nice covers (Led Zeppelin, The Who, David Bowie, . . .). Great band, awesome guitar work. Go see her while you still can!
