    Good Memories

by Strongbody on 2/2/11Birchmere - Alexandria

With the help of MAYSA & DAVE VALENTIN - I remembered all the Angela Bofill concerts I went to. Very relaxing, but up lifting show. Angela reminded me / us of how important life is and never take it for granted.

    Maysa was awesome

by Ivian on 2/1/11Birchmere - Alexandria

I attended this concert because I am an Angela Bofill fan and of course her latin sister. I was impressed by the performance of Dave Valentine and the amazing Maysa. There is no one that could hit those notes like she did. She sang every song currently sung by Angela Bofill and did an outstanding job. Also, I was excited to see Angela join Dave Valentine and Maysa on stage. For some reason I thought she was still in the rehab center. What a wonderful surprise. Angela looked great and gave many of us in the audience inspiration and faith. The entire concert was moving and superb. At the end of the concert, the concert attendees were able to take pictures with both Angela and Maysa...that was the most warming experience I have ever had. Hugging Angela was a once in a lifetime experience and I will never forget it. The same for Maysa. Both of these women were very warm and very approachable. May God continue to bless these two exceptional women always...they are the best performaners I have been able to see in a very long time.

    Angel of the Night!

by LovefromNoVA on 2/1/11Birchmere - Alexandria

Cheers and blessing to the courageous Ms. Bofill. Just seeing her warmed my heart and brought back memories of seeing and hearing her at the Beacon Theater in NYC. Maysa sang like an angel with beauty and strength, within earshot of the original singer/ songwriter. What a wonderful night! LIVE music performed by Ms. Bofill's band including Mr. Dave Valentine coupled with stories and narration by Angela... Absolutely Superb!

I love Masa and she did a fine job. I think it's sad Angela Bofill is out there like that. They had her walk cross the stage. Her chair should have been on the other side so she wouldn't have to walk so far. The video they show of her back in the day was not well put together. Not enough music to much talking. She reminded me of Dick Clark. It's time to be still and watch tv.

Ms. Angela Bofill is a queen. She has such grace and composure as she recovers from her strokes, KUDOS to her! Maysa...there's not much to say except STUPENDOUS! I have always been an Incognito feat. Maysa fan but seeing and hearing her live, up close and personal was FABULOUS!!

the Angela Bofill experience was exceptional

by osmosis on 2/1/11Keswick Theatre - Glenside

For ms Bofill to appear on stage was truly incredible. Although hampered by her physical disabilities, her presence was truly inspiring. ms. Bofill's music was present through the musical talents of the remarkable Maysa, who individually certainly deserves a lot of accolades. All together, it was a night to remember, a show which I am glad that I attended.

Angela Bofill Experience Featuring Maysa and Dave

by Anonymous on 2/1/11Birchmere - Alexandria

This was a wonderful experience. Maysa along with Dave really did justice to Angela's music. It was great to see that Angela was really recovering from her stroke. She brought a lot of humor to her narration.

    Awesome tribute to Ms Angie!!!

by Icantstandtherain on 2/1/11Birchmere - Alexandria

1st time to the Birchmere and it sure will not be my last!!! I LOVE the venue! Seeing Angie Bofill again was truly special after all these years and considering her health challenges. It was good to see her spirit and sense of humor is still intact. Maysa was the BEST singer they could have chosen to do justice to Angie's body of work. The love between Dave and Angie is palpable. Kudos to whoever came up with this idea of honoring Angie and her music!

Maysa was AMAZING singing Angela Bofill's songs!!!

by PhillyGirlnDC on 2/1/11Birchmere - Alexandria

It was soooo good to see Angela Bofill in such high spirits and full of life after her strokes. I loved how she narrated and shared with the audience. And I know Angie was so proud to have Maysa singing all her songs. Maysa was AWESOME!!! I've always loved Maysa, but after hearing her sing Angela Bofill's songs,...wow, I'm just at a loss for words. Maysa totally rocked!! Maysa was the best singer, no, the only songstress that could do justice to Angela Bofill's songs!!!

Maysa turned it out and Dave Valentine

by jamminjbcddd on 2/1/11Birchmere - Alexandria

I didn't realized Angie Bofill has been thru a stroke, from what I could see. I'm glad she's recovered but not enough to sing again. If I had known she was NOT performing, I would have not purchased TICKETS!!! See you next time Maysa.

    Amazing concept

by Luinphilly on 1/31/11Keswick Theatre - Glenside

This was a lovefest between two artists who have known one another since the beginning of their careers. They love and respect one another. It was a gutsy thing to do, to bring this to the theater for all of us to partake and enjoy their talents. Just to see one of these amazing performers was worth the price of admission. But to see Angela and Dave together on the same stage channeling her music was awesome.

Maysa and Angela worked it out!

by RNBGrateful on 1/31/11Keswick Theatre - Glenside

The show was great and Maysa is fantastic, However, I left feeling void because the show was so short. The show begin at 8:15 and they announce the last song at 9PM with and added an extra song after Angela left the stage. To make up for that Maysa and Angela stayed to personallly sign the merchandise purchased. So that was nice for people who wanted to get up close and personal. I still wanted more songs! But overalll a nice evening.

    A wonderful inspirational experience

by storeytyme on 1/31/11Keswick Theatre - Glenside

Very nice show, the band was excellent; dave valentin was great with his wild and crazy self and maysa was sublime. It was fantastic to see how far Ms Bofill has come since her stroke and the banter between her and dave valentin was nice and genuine, along with Ms Bofill sharing what was on her mind behind some of the songs she wrote and performed. The only disappointing thing was the show was just a tease set, only 1 hour!! I can only surmise that they didn't want to keep Ms Bofill on stage too long. She has such a large catalog of work, that less that 10 songs was not really satisfying. They also primarily concentrated on just her first two albums. The songs they selected were good choices, its just that it was a small list. Maybe they need to work in a medley of some hits. Songs I expected to hear but didn't included: Tropical Love; Feeling is Love; Tonight I give In; Something About You; Break it to me Gently; Let Me Be the One; Time to Say Goodbye: just to name a few. All in all it was definitely worth going to see.

    Angela Bofill is Amazing!

by mlpca on 1/31/11Keswick Theatre - Glenside

In spite of her stroke, Angela maintains a wonderful sense of humor and tells her story with such heart. Her courage and spirit is an inspiration. I am grateful to Keswick Theater for bringing Angela back to the Philadelphia area. I have seen her perform twice previously in the area over the years. While she cannot actually sing her music now, she is there in rhythm...snapping fingers, swaying her dead and mouthing words. Maysa did a great job with vocals, doing Angela justice, though no one can compare to Miss Bofill. Incognito provided wonderful music, the keyboard player is awesome! I hope this show returns to the Phila/New Jersey area. I have been listening to Angela for over 30 years and plan on 30 more!
