Andy Wood Tickets

Inside the Bijou theater the future of guitar virtuosity was on display on Oct 12th. Andy Wood and his group opened up for themselves with a masterclass set of Blue Grass classics, some melodic and some barnburners. I had never listened to bluegrass but enjoyed the incredible skills of the players..many banjo, violin, acoustic, mandolin and even a bass solo. But I didn't drive for 5 hours from Cincy to hear this. After a brief intermission the band returned and played their electric set. They are amazing and Andy Wood belongs in the class of guitarists he admires. They were tight. They enjoyed themselves. They thanked the audience for our patronage and played flawlessly. They closed the set with Whipping Post playing their butts off. After the best banjo solo of the night Mr.Wood tore off another solo that topped off a fantastic show. If you like Satch, Steve Vai , Petrucci, Morse or John 5, this is for you. Andy said he will be releasing a new c.d. soon,(they featured a few tracks during the show) called Kennedy Wood band. It's for the genuine music lovers, not that trite formulaic crap we hear on the radio. ANDY WOOD IS THE REAL DEAL.

I am not a stranger to Andy Wood. I have seen him perform many time over the last 12 years. This is the 2nd time I seen him perform at the Bijou Theatre. Every time has been better that the last and this time was no exception. I thought it was a good move for him to open the show with acoustic bluegrass, and close out rocking the house. As usual Andy Wood did not disappoint. I highly recommend this show!!

Got to see an amazing local artist, seats were upgraded due to an unforseen issue, and got to meet/sit with a longtime FB friend and local radio personality!!!! Best night ever!!!!

Andy Wood has a clear passion for music and is committed to making sure the audience is entertained and gets a good value. He Succeeds in this. His music covers a wide spectrum and addresses 3 different genres. I took my son (25), my daughter (19) and I (59) and we all came away with a clear consensus that Andy Wood is one of the best concert values we have ever been to and he has a little something for everything.

Best concert I've seen in awhile. Awesome musicians. Wood playing guitar and mandolin was worth admission. I will see again.
