Dont Care If You Know One Song or All of His Songs

by yankeesdrummer on 4/4/12Webster Hall - New York

if you want an energy filled, fun partying rock show with someone who actually cares about putting on a good show and is genuinely a great party host, you must see andrew w.k. at least once in person. there arent many acts left like this, and the fact that he plays small venues is great. make sure you see him and you wont regret it.

    ANDREW WK RULES

by chachacha on 4/4/12Webster Hall - New York

I hate webster hall. Over priced drinks, rude staff, mean bouncers. Andrew WK however, was AMAZING. Can not recommend him enough. 4 stars for Andrew, minus 1 for venue.

Andrew W.K."I Get Wet" 10 yr anniv. tour.

by dkta on 3/30/12Paradise Rock Club - Boston

As the title implies, it was the entire 1st record with the songs in album order. Encore included tunes from The Wolf and a new song. The show was awesome. Full of energy. Bigger band than I saw him with on tour for The Wolf and everyone was into it. Too bad it was only 1 night in Boston, I want to go again.

    Longer than expected

by ManiacalEnigma on 3/26/12Avalon - Hollywood

Not the most memorable AWK performance I've experienced, and they are an experience, but definitely surprised me with the stamina and length of the show. Even though there were only two bands on the bill, I figured they'd play I Get Wet and maybe one other song, but the fact they played about 18-19 songs, including some from The Wolf and a new song was nice. Avalon is a great venue, too.

    One of the best

    by TraceAdam3 on 3/12/12Avalon - Hollywood

One of the most fun yet violent concerts I've been too. The floor was a mosh pit from start to finish but everybody was having a great time.

It's Time to Party Hard Til You Puke

by Wordissuperfly on 3/10/12Avalon - Hollywood

The guy likes to party, I'll give him that. 10 years later and this collection of ultimate party anthems that is "I Get Wet" still manages to get the crowd moving. I included this show in my fitness diary as cardio, because I did not stop jumping up and down for 90 minutes. He had a ridiculously long encore after playing through the entire "I Get Wet" album, and somehow the audience got more and more excited with every song for the entire concert. Great show.

    Best Show Ever!!!!!!!!!!!

by Anonymous on 3/10/12Avalon - Hollywood

The Andrew W.K. concert was great his stage presence is something that really exciting about his concerts & he feeds of the energy of the crowd. So the more crazy the people get,the more crazy Andrew gets & it was nice to see him play with his old band again. Also the opening band called Math The Band was amazing I'm glad he got this band to open for him cause where a great fast paced and in your face band and it goes well together with AWK's music. I highly recommend this show/tour if anyone is looking to have some high energy fun!!!!!!

    Awesome show!

    by rockgeek42 on 3/10/12Avalon - Hollywood

I've seen Andrew W.K. perform many times, but it's been a long time since he last performed in LA so I didn't know what to expect. Well, Andrew has never let me down before, and he certainly didn't this time. It's the tenth anniversary of his classic "I Get Wet" album, and as a tribute to it he performed the _entire_ album, in order, as the first part of the show. Anyone familiar with the album knows that there is not a bad song on it, and many of the songs are classics. The sound was also very good; the band was rocking and I could actually hear Andrew's voice clearly. The crowd was pumped up and there was a sizeable mosh pit area that I decided to avoid for fear of injury, but it looked like everyone was having a good time. Andrew is a bit of a goofball on stage, but he was clearly having fun, as was everyone else. If he comes back to town, SEE HIM! You won't regret it.

Still to this day, one of my favorite concerts!

    by Redwing330 on 12/17/10Tabernacle - Atlanta

Since no one had reviewed Andrew W.K. I figured I would try and do him some justice by doing one myself. I have been to probably around 30-40 concerts in my life so far, nothing to brag about but a decent enough amount to compare other concerts. I saw Andrew W.K. in Atlanta back in 2003, I believe it may have been at the Tabernacle. To this day I have never had more fun at a concert than the Andrew W.K. show that night. The energy there was hard to describe because you really just got this warm feeling between everyone that we all were there to have fun and enjoy the show. Every time there was a mosh pit someone would inevitably get knocked down and immediately after everyone in the pit stopped and helped them up, I had never seen something like this. It felt almost like we were all brothers and sisters for the night all bonding with the music and energy around us (I know I just read this myself and it sounds like I'm a big hippie haha, but that is not the case). As for the performance by Andrew, this was also incredible, the energy he had while performing was off the charts and just pumped up the crowd even more! At one point in the show he invited everyone up on stage and we all started dancing and singing with him. My buddy actually got to bang on the piano a bit, he said it was the best feeling ever. Hands down the funnest show I have ever attended (all of my friends that were with me that night share the same opinion) and would do anything to see him live again. THANK YOU Andrew for giving us one of the most kick ass times of our lives! Come to Dallas soon! -Mike
