Even though the audio was terrible, it was a nice concert filled with Argentina rock nostalgia ! Good set list with Andres’s songs but also Los Rodriguez most famous ones. I loved that.
I didn’t follow Andre’s Calamaro’s solo career after Los Abuelos de la Nada broke apart. I wish that more Abuelos de la Nada songs had been played but it is probably unrealistic to expect that. They did play some songs from Los Rodrigues and Fabiana Cantilo but they were not played correctly. So, if you are an Andres Calamaro fan, you’ll love it. If you’re an Abuelos de la Nada fan, you might still enjoy it.
Extremely boring performance...what happened to this amazing artist with the best albums ever (tinta roja, alta suciedad, el salmon, el cantante, honestidad brutal)? The end.
No electric guitar. Even his greatest hits were played with no guitars
So, first off, I just want to say I'm a huge Andres Calamaro fan. But, I was hoping to hear his greatest hits playing along a conventional rock band. What I got was an intimate and personal acoustic concert that wasn't that bad, but could have been better if he just sang his original songs instead of doing these cover songs from other artists. He really missed a great opportunity to sing "No me pidas que no sea un inconsciente" during this acoustic and piano concert. Hopefully, he will return to NYC one day and I'll get to marvel his full band concerts like the ones he does in Argentina or whenever he travels to Mexico or Spain.
I really did not happy his performance, inwas waiting for more "rock en español" as we know him and as we remembered him. He barely sang songs that people know and those were totalky different as he used to sing them... really disappointed
Even though I'm more used to his standard rock show, I did appreciate his acoustic set.. I enjoyed "Algo Contigo", "Estadio Azteca", "Quien Aso La Manteca", "Para No Olvidar", "Mi Enfermedad", "Tuyo Siempre", "Flaca", "Crimenes Perfectos", "Media Veronica", "Paloma", etc.
