About

ANBERLIN IN CONCERT:

Beloved Christian rock outfit Anberlin announced that their 2014 album and tour would be their last, meaning fans have one last chance to see them in action. The band has been a scene mainstay for more than a decade with their anthemic alt rock sound, topping the Christian Albums Chart four consecutive times with taut albums like 2008's New Surrender and 2012's Vital. The band's final album, 2014's Lowborn, will be accompanied by The Final Tour, a decisively titled last hurrah for the veteran rockers.  Seeing Anberlin on their farewell tour may be bittersweet, but it will also be unforgettable -- the band has promised to pull out all the stops, treating fans to career-spanning sets that will include favorites like "Feel Good Drag" and "Impossible".

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Anberlin formed in Florida in 2002 from the ashes of Christian punk outfit SaGoh 24/7, a short-lived project started by singer Stephen Christian and bassist Deon Rexroat during high school. After SaGoh failed to gain traction, the band reemerged with a rock sound and a new moniker, making their debut as Anberlin in 2003 with the album Blueprints for the Black Market. Although the release failed to chart, it spawned the popular single "Readyfuels" and led to extensive touring. The band's 2005 sophomore album fared better, landing at No. 5 on the Christian chart and No. 3 on the Heatseekers chart. Their success continued in 2007 with the album Cities, which earned them a major label deal with Universal. Their debut on the imprint -- 2008's New Surrender -- peaked at No. 1 on the Christian chart, a feat the band would repeat with their next three albums including their final album, 2014's Lowborn. Accompanying Lowborn is the bands farewell gesture to fans, a rollicking set of dates on The Final Tour that provides ticket buyers with one last opportunity to see Anberlin before they call it quits for good.

    Great venue

by Hb on 9/15/21Delmar Hall - Saint Louis

This was my first time at Delmar Hall. This was a great place and the sound was great for the most part. Sometimes the instruments were way louder than the vocals so it was hard to hear the song but other than that it was a nice place. The check in process was very thorough. Everyone was wearing masks.

    rocking the house of blues

by molly on 9/10/21House of Blues Orlando - Orlando

I've been a fan of Anberlin for a long time and was super excited to finally get to see them live in concert! They brought tons of energy to all the songs I love. Everyone was singing along and had a great time! Only complaint I had was that the band overpowered the vocals so I didn't get to hear his lovely singing voice as much as I'd like. The venue was small enough to be intimate but not too small. Overall it was a really good experience!

    HOB Anberlin

by Sands on 1/13/20House of Blues Orlando - Orlando

Band was great but sound was distorted at times. The smaller size of the venue made the experience more personal, would love to go to more concerts of this capacity. Overall, truly loved it!

    A Night to Remember

by Russellitomayne on 12/25/19House of Blues Orlando - Orlando

Growing up I listened to Anberlin through out highschool. I never got to see them live, until now. The reunion show was amazing. They played all their hits, and they opened with Debut\Godspeed which is all I wanted. By far the one of the most outstanding shows I've seen. If they don't make anymore music I'd be happy with this, but if this is a comeback these guys definitely know to throw a show together. Also the lead singer from Yellowcard was there, and he was going to play some solo stuff before Anberlin came on, but he instead played the Yellowcard hits like Ocean avenue and Lights and Sounds. Great show to reminisce of times past, it was totally worth it. They played most their hits on Cities and some others as well. Songs they played Godspeed Never Take Friendship Personal Paperthin Hymn Hello Alone Time & Confusion A Day Late Impossible (The Symphony of) Blasé Inevitable Take Me (As You Found Me) The Haunting The Unwinding Cable Car Art of War Other Side We Are Destroyer Self-Starter Someone Anyone The Resistance Dismantle.Repair. Awesome Band, Great Venue, Good Time

by Jos on 12/24/19House of Blues Orlando - Orlando

Anberlin always puts on a great time and a good show. The House of Blues gave an intimate feel that really suits this band's fan base, considering they have only done a handful of reunion shows. They are better than ever and worth every penny.

by T. on 12/23/19House of Blues Orlando - Orlando

Another great show by Anberlin. Changed it up a bit with violins for a few songs. Great energy. Great songs. Can't wait to see them again. Ryan Key also was a great opener.

Love the band.... venue needed to work on the sound

by AnnM on 12/23/19House of Blues Orlando - Orlando

I have see Anberlin many times and it’s always sounded great. This time if I hadn’t known the words to the songs I wouldn’t have known what they were singing.

    Nothing Short of Excellent

by Lieutenant Dan on 12/23/19House of Blues Orlando - Orlando

I saw Anberlin a year earlier as an opening act for Underoath in Tampa. With the 45 minutes they were given they put on a solid performance. This time around as a headliner, Anberlin put on a 2-hour, high-energy spectacle. The venue is small and allowed the band to be intimate with the crowd. Singer Stephen Christian at times steps out to the crowd an extends his hand. Another moment, Stephen brings up a crowd-surfed audience member to sing the bridge of "A Day Late." They played a varied amount from their discography. Only songs from Blueprints for the Black Market were excluded. As if having a full-band wasn't enough, but Stephen Christian had a string ensemble come on. The band dedicated "Inevitable" to a married couple and those with significant others. Went for a friend, came out a fan

by Ghostie on 12/23/19House of Blues Orlando - Orlando

I got these tickets to take one of my close friends and this was one of the most emotional shows I have been to. These are such good people outside of the music and their music is amazing too! The three piece string section, especially the violinist was phenomenal and it was truly a special experience.

The vocals from Christian were non-existent

by Anberlin Fan on 12/23/19House of Blues Orlando - Orlando

This is the first time seeing Anberlin in concert and I was disappointed because the vocals were terrible. Ive listened to many ofAnberlin's songs and the singer's vocals can be heard and are nice and strong. But Friday evening, you could barely hear him. The audience singing was louder. Either they have to fire their sound engineer ore Christian's voice is not what it used to be. He didn't sound good at all. The music itself was good and the crowd got in it. But I really wanted hear SOME vocals but you couldn't hear the singer.

    .....

by Davidplaysdrums on 12/23/19House of Blues Orlando - Orlando

I've seen Anberlin live 4 times, and hands down this is the best they've ever sounded. These guys LOVE their fans, and it shows. They did some deep dives in their catalogue which were a welcome addition to the set. 10/10 would see them another 1000 times.

    Anberlin never disappoints!

by Stephanie on 7/20/19Buckhead Theatre presented by Cricket Wireless - Atlanta

When they stopped touring, I was so sad and thought I would never get to see my favorite band again. As soon as the show was about I knew I had to get there. No distance could have kept me from seeing them live luckily I only had to drive 3 1/2 hours. I hope they see the response from the store as encouraging to do another maybe I could make it to multiple shows. Anberlin is one band that could watch over and over and it feels like a new experience!
