What a great evening! The costumes were beautiful. The singing was better than expected. Would definitely see it again. Tried different seats and loved it. The surprise engagement after the show was a romantic end to the evening.
I knew that there would be a lot of the same music from the movie, but the plot was much more serious/somber. All-in-all it was an experience full of emotions, familiar songs, and takes you on an amazing journey.
Beautiful acting, dancing and sets. However, actors’ audio was below music making it difficult to hear and understand the lyrics. Would be nice if venue updated to surround sound. I know you can with Bluetooth technology. So give it a try, please.
I watched the movie when I was 5 years old, I’m 26 now and when I saw the show I felt all different kinds of emotions. I cried within the first 10 minutes. And I cried a couple times after. Hearing the songs I love from the movie was so nostalgic. Everything was perfect; actors, costumes, music. I loved it so much.
All of the actors had an amazing voice and did a great job portraying their characters! I loved the humor that was added also. The only down side was everyone in the majestic was coughing throughout the entire play! It kind of ruined the experience for me. Anastasia has been my all time favorite ever since I was little. I think one of my favorite parts was the swan lake play scene. The dancing was beautiful and made me want to become a ballerina again.
The show first wowed me with their set and lighting. It transported me to the world of this wonderful fairy tale. The costumes were so beautiful that I was captivated watching, eager to see what the next act would bring. Then the colorful cast was just on a whole different level than I was expecting. Such talented people that came together to create something all together amazing. I would absolutely recommend this show to anyone looking for a beautiful fairy tale brought to light in the most remarkable of ways.
I’ve seen over 15 touring broadway shows and have done theater my entire life, and Anastasia was hands down the best show I’ve ever seen!
I don't know what was more beautiful, the costumes or the backdrop. Very pleasantly surprised!
