Anaheim Ducks History
What began as a 1992 Disney movie turned into a professional hockey team as the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim played their first official season in the NHL in 1993. With the emergence of Paul Kariya in late 1994, Anaheim had its first bona fide superstar.
In 1996, Teemu Selänne arrived via trade, and alongside Kariya helped lead the franchise to its first playoffs appearance in 1997. The Ducks reached the Stanley Cup Final in 2003, where they lost to the New Jersey Devils. Forever etched in Mighty Ducks lore was the knockout delivered upon Kariya by the Devils' Scott Stevens in game six. Kariya would make a hero's return in that game, emerging from the locker room to score and lead the team to victory. Netminder Jean-Sébastien Giguère won the Conn Smythe Trophy as the MVP of the playoffs, becoming the fifth player to win the trophy as a member of the losing team.
Disney sold the franchise to Henry and Susan Samueli in 2005, and the team dropped the "Mighty" from their moniker. With star players on the roster, including future Hall of Fame defensemen Chris Pronger and Scott Niedermayer, the Ducks finished the 2007 season as Stanley Cup Champions, defeating the Ottawa Senators in five games. With Rob Niedermayer also on the roster, the Niedermayers became the first set of brothers to win the Stanley Cup together since the 1980s.

The Avs suck this year, like most years, so it was a blowout. A good game, but not the most exciting.
We had a wonderful time at the game. Too bad Duck's lost game 4-0.
Good event Great venue. Parking was terrible and over priced. Tix fro $70 but the parking was $20 and very hard to get out of because of the way they were dealing with traffic. Also they pushed the big 5/50 draw but then didn't ever draw it there that night. More money.
Awesome arena. Great seats no matter where you sit.
I was able to get my Duck's tickets off Ticketmaster without any hassles or time wasted. I had a great time at the Duck's game, and was excited to see them play with the tickets I bought off of Ticketmaster. I definitely recommend getting any tickets from Ticketmaster as they are not like some other websites that may try to scam people of their hard earned money. I hope this review helps people trust in Ticketmaster.
What's not to like? Honda Center is like one big happy family, my home away from home. Met up with friends at the game, all of whom I met online. We arrived in 3 cars and sat in 3 different sections, but hung out together in between periods. So much fun. And the Ducks won in OT !!!
Game was good the Ducks won so that makes in exciting The people behind us talked the entire game and in the 3rd period using bad language and I could not find an usher to inform them
Love going to hockey games, hate sitting near people who are there to carry on conversations throughout the entire game. It's rude and distracting
It was fun and so worth it. Cheap tickets and winning ducks!
Great seats, arena and game. Many food options. Tickets were easy to choose. Ducks played a greT game.
Good seats, just need to remember to be on the other end of the rink to watch the Ducks shoot at my end 1st and 3rd periods. One thing I love about the games happens at one of the TV timeouts in the 2nd period, when they introduce a military person, who has a laundry list of accomplishments. I call it "hero time". In fact, the last line of the speech is, "You, sir, are a true American hero." Of course, this is done to a standing ovation from the crowd.
Seats were smaller then what I have seen. Kept spilling beer :)
I had the best time ever! We won and that was great. I was so excited to be there that I left my Everett Silvertips bell at my seat. Now, someone else gets to enjoy my Tip's Bell. I will get a new one, when I get back home to Seattle! The people at the arena were nice and helpful, I had the time of my life! thank you!
Amazing venue loved the game check in took to long
Great Arena and a very good game to watch. Even do we were sitting upp on the 4:th we hade a great view and a grate experience.
I do not like the Ducks policy of not allowing fans to bring their own food or water into the Honda Center. I like to bring my own snacks and water. I know other NHL arenas allow you to bring in your own stuff.
Best game ever..so awesome...i thought they were going to lose..at one momemt they were down by 3 points..it almost killed me..but they pulled through and won!
always a great time watching a live Ducks hockey game!
The Honda Center is fan friendly for those of the visiting team. Though loyal to the Ducks, the fans around me were very friendly and outgoing. Big mystery: why on earth the PA announcer would introduce the starting lineup for only the home team!! I believe it takes two teams to make a game.
