Anaheim Ducks History
What began as a 1992 Disney movie turned into a professional hockey team as the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim played their first official season in the NHL in 1993. With the emergence of Paul Kariya in late 1994, Anaheim had its first bona fide superstar.
In 1996, Teemu Selänne arrived via trade, and alongside Kariya helped lead the franchise to its first playoffs appearance in 1997. The Ducks reached the Stanley Cup Final in 2003, where they lost to the New Jersey Devils. Forever etched in Mighty Ducks lore was the knockout delivered upon Kariya by the Devils' Scott Stevens in game six. Kariya would make a hero's return in that game, emerging from the locker room to score and lead the team to victory. Netminder Jean-Sébastien Giguère won the Conn Smythe Trophy as the MVP of the playoffs, becoming the fifth player to win the trophy as a member of the losing team.
Disney sold the franchise to Henry and Susan Samueli in 2005, and the team dropped the "Mighty" from their moniker. With star players on the roster, including future Hall of Fame defensemen Chris Pronger and Scott Niedermayer, the Ducks finished the 2007 season as Stanley Cup Champions, defeating the Ottawa Senators in five games. With Rob Niedermayer also on the roster, the Niedermayers became the first set of brothers to win the Stanley Cup together since the 1980s.

Very exciting game. Lots of scoring and some seriously aggressive fighting
The Buffalo Sabres vs. Anaheim Ducks game was exciting, and an edge of your seat event from start to finish! I highly recommend watching any Sabres game as they are a fantastic team!
The Honda Center has aged well. Sight lines are good from the end seats. Ushers do a great jjob restricting fan movement in the aisles while the game is underway. Now, if they would only turn down the sound in the building. A hockey game is not a rock concert!
Game was consistant, well played fight to the death. Ducks lost but everyone stayed put until a victor was reached.
Always a great experience. Parking is easy and the arena clean and simple to navigate.
Always a fun time watching the Ducks play!! Can't wait for the next game!!
Sooo much fun. Playoff hockey is the best. Only wish Ducks won!
Bad, just bad. Crummy game. Average tics. Its a hockey game & they lost. Not sure how this will help anyone.
Everything was great, except the Ducks losing. Hope for next season
This is going to be a great series from start to finish. Watching the Ducks comeback game 2 was awesome.
The seats were good & the crowd was totaly into the Game.
I love my Seats! Great game! Ducks win 5 to 3. Seats were conveniently located near the concessions we enjoy. Also, the ushers were great and helpful. Restrooms were just outside our section. We had a great time and we will do it again soon
Magically exciting 2-1 game seven with constant action.
Bring on the preds! I smell another 7 game series. There is no other building in the NHL like the pond (honda center) when it comes to a friendly/hostile (if there is such a thing) environment.
The interactive map for single game Duck tickets only works a fraction of the time. I've been able to use this easily past seasons, but boy has it been awful during the playoffs.
Great game #5 vs Oilers. One of the best hockey games in a long time. Ducks score 3 goals with less than 4 minutes left in regulation. Tying goal with 15 seconds left in game! TWO overtime periods! Ducks win after being behind 3 - 0.
If you left early I'm sure you won't be making that mistake again. What an ending.
Down 0-3... come back to score 3 goals in 3 minutes in the 3rd. Win in 2OT. Crowed goes wild! Very fun game and great experience
For all the "fans" who left early, THIS IS WHY YOU ALWAYS STAY UNTIL THE END!!!! The Ducks pulled off an historic playoff comeback against the Oilers by scoring 3 goals in the last 3.5 minutes, then scoring the game-winner in double OT to take a 3-2 series lead. The place was going absolutely nuts! Even before the comeback, the playoff atmosphere was noticeable, and the crowd at Honda Center was loud throughout. There's nothing like playoff hockey, and if you're a Ducks fan, you gotta be there live!
Best playoff come back in Nhl History what a great game it was GO DUCKS
