Anaheim Ducks History
What began as a 1992 Disney movie turned into a professional hockey team as the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim played their first official season in the NHL in 1993. With the emergence of Paul Kariya in late 1994, Anaheim had its first bona fide superstar.
In 1996, Teemu Selänne arrived via trade, and alongside Kariya helped lead the franchise to its first playoffs appearance in 1997. The Ducks reached the Stanley Cup Final in 2003, where they lost to the New Jersey Devils. Forever etched in Mighty Ducks lore was the knockout delivered upon Kariya by the Devils' Scott Stevens in game six. Kariya would make a hero's return in that game, emerging from the locker room to score and lead the team to victory. Netminder Jean-Sébastien Giguère won the Conn Smythe Trophy as the MVP of the playoffs, becoming the fifth player to win the trophy as a member of the losing team.
Disney sold the franchise to Henry and Susan Samueli in 2005, and the team dropped the "Mighty" from their moniker. With star players on the roster, including future Hall of Fame defensemen Chris Pronger and Scott Niedermayer, the Ducks finished the 2007 season as Stanley Cup Champions, defeating the Ottawa Senators in five games. With Rob Niedermayer also on the roster, the Niedermayers became the first set of brothers to win the Stanley Cup together since the 1980s.

First time at Honda center, staff as well as attendees are very nice. Clean environment Great experience watching the ducks play overall
It was my first NHL game and it was amazing! Both from the game itself point of view and from the location point of view. Just something: maybe the prices of food and beverage should be a bit lower...
Tickets to event were provided immediately, they were the tickets selected and no issues. OUTSTANDING
My friend that came with me had hard time fitting in his seat, they could be a little bigger
The staff was so friendly! I brought a young boy to the game for his first hockey experience. The staff went up and beyond to make this night one to remember! Thank you all especially Ralph.
Great experience. Great service. Easy access anywhere the venue. Great crowd
Great time! Nice arena! Always have a great time out at the games here! If you’re in the area do a game.
The game was fun. The vaccination check was a joke! A hired security company had a guard checking vaccination cards. No ID asked for to prove it was me. Took a half second look and waived me through. It was not busy when we got in line for the scanner, it wasn’t even opened yet. Attendance was very low, so I did feel safe inside. I just wish the Arena did a better job to make sure people attending are actually vaccinated or have a legitimate false test.
First day opening day for me was so amazing over the last 10 years haven’t been to the opening game I been a busy person working at different jobs and closing all the time it was hard to get days off to go the opening day I enjoy it but as a Anaheim duck fan I will keep going to home coming games at the Honda center to support the team.
We sat where we wanted to, check in with vaccination checks went fine, crowd was small as it usually is at preseason games. My biggest issue is how much they increased the items at concession stands, $8.00 for 1 bottle of water? I can buy 2 cases for that but they won’t let you take water in. Hot dog went to $9.00 so we paid $34.00 for 2 hot dogs and 2 waters, that’s ridiculous. They will lose concession business while they are trying to recoup their loses from last year. Game was good. We will go again but will not buy food or water.
The game was incredible! It is amazing to be able to get back to hockey and enjoy it live. The staff was also really helpful and friendly. The problem was with the food service. The payment machines experienced major difficulties in accepting the only form of payment allowed and then there was no food service in the club section, which was never told to those of us sitting there. We pay premium for that seating and nobody ever informed those of us sitting there this was not being offered.
-Comfortable seats. There isn't a bad seat in the arena. The views from all angles are open with a clear view of the rink. -Fun atmosphere. The games are exciting and fun to watch with all the fans. -Great security. I feel safe at this arena with the amount of security at each game. -Great ticket prices. I love how I don't feel guilty for spending money by attending these games (like basketball or football games). Again, there's not a bad seat in the arena so I don't mind buying $20 tickets to sit in the 400 tier.
Had a great time Had amazing seats The only bad part was The leafs lost
Great game Wrong result Oilers lost in overtime. Good action nice facility Good staff.
We had a great time! The hockey was very entertaining and the venue was awesome. Will go back again!
The seats were good. My wife finally understand how the game is being played. We had sat behind the goalies this past few years. This time we move to the corner of the rink. The Penguins were on a losing slump, losing to both Kings and Ducks which is unusual but we enjoyed the game
I went with three other friends and had a great time! Even though we were at the top, the view was amazing. And the tickets were affordable. Definitely doing this again!
We got a great deal on tickets that included pizza and unlimited drinks. The climb up to our seats was a little on the steep side but once we got used to sitting up there, the view was great. Seats were comfortable. a very enjoyable evening.
Comfortable seats, Excellent lighting Sound system is too loud. Concessions limited. Security was good. We stayed across the street at a hotel but it looked as though parking ran smoothly.
The seats were really good for cheap . I loved it the game.
