Ana Gabriel on Tour

Mexico's Ana Gabriel is the queen of infusing pathos into every note she sings. Her smoky alto seems to be endlessly striving — to communicate her feelings, to grab your attention, to soothe you or convince you. And convince you she does. For decades, this singer has performed emotional pop ballads and solidly traditional ranchera, acting as a female singer, songwriter and producer in what are often quite macho Mexican musical realms. In the process, she's sung duets with a veritable who's who of musical stars, introduced a woman's perspective into an overwhelmingly male genre, and given comfort and inspiration to millions of fans. In shows packed with hits, Gabriel's husky voice can more than outmatch the horn section of a ranchera, and she'll often throw in classic Mexican songs and lead the crowd in sing-alongs. She's toured extensively in Mexico, Latin America and North America, and in 2020, she undertook her Estamos A Tiempo North American tour.

Ana Gabriel in Concert

Born María Guadalupe Araujo Yong in Guamúchil, Sinaloa, in 1955, to a Mexican father and a mother of Japanese-Mexican heritage, Ana Gabriel showed her proficiency for music early on. She reportedly sang a José Alfredo Jiménez song in public when she was just six years old, and at age seven, began singing in earnest and composing her own songs. Her talent was abundantly evident, so when the singer turned 15, the family pulled up roots and moved to Tijuana to give her more opportunities. After participating in musical contests, she released her first album, Un estilo, in 1985. Her first smash hit was "Simplemente amigos" in 1986, but her real breakthrough came in 1991 when she won her first Premios Lo Nuestro award. She's received more than 30 nominations for Premios Lo Nuestro since then, as well as Grammy and Latin Grammy nods, and her albums have hovered at the tops of the charts for decades. She recorded a very popular pair of albums with Juan Gabriel in 2007 and 2008, and is famous for duets with artists including Yuri, Plácido Domingo, Vicente Fernandez, Jon Secada and others.

    Amazing voice so powerful

by Michi on 6/9/23Kaseya Center (formerly known as Miami-Dade Arena) - Miami

She really made sure everyone was having a good time. Loved it. Everyone was singing the whole time with her. It was hard to hear her when she spoke that was the only thing. She made it a point to try and connect with the audience. The mariachi was definitely a plus. Love all her songs her voice is so powerful amazing. She was great so glad I didn’t listen to the other reviews and went to the concert. Her voice is the same as when you hear her on the radio. Loved it loved it

    Good and entertaining singer

by Ray on 6/8/23Kaseya Center (formerly known as Miami-Dade Arena) - Miami

Ana Gabriel is a very good and entertaining singer. The only disappointment is the venue staff at the Kaseya Center. They do a poor job of keeping people out of the isles and obstructing the view. The floor seating is tight and uncomfortable to begin with and they compound the problem by not controlling the crowd so it difficult to fully enjoy this very talented artist.

    Perfect except…

by Rachel Torres on 6/7/23Kaseya Center (formerly known as Miami-Dade Arena) - Miami

The concert itself was amazing. Staff inside the stadium were super helpful in making sure you found your seats and the show itself was amazing however, the parking guards outside the building directing traffic were absolutely rude, condescending and just awful. We’re not from Miami, and it was our first time going to that stadium, plus there were no signs for the parking garage. Traffic in Miami is insane much more at such a busy time so it can be confusing for drivers. Just took away from the experience having that man yell and scream at us so much.

Sound of her voice was not clear

by Disappointed on 6/6/23Kaseya Center (formerly known as Miami-Dade Arena) - Miami

The quality of her voice and singing were not that clear, difficult to understand, and there was a lot of talking and little singing. And too many breaks to drink in between songs.

Ana Gabriel will give you a 100% of herself

by Susana on 6/6/23Kaseya Center (formerly known as Miami-Dade Arena) - Miami

Beautiful voice and performance. She kept singing as long as her public ask for more. She engaged and connected with the audience. She sang for over 2 1/2 hrs. The Kaseya Center was my only disappointment. We arrived 2 hr early in the middle of heavy rain. Security stop us because my regular one person umbrella was too big. I was to “walked it back to the car”…yes, in the middle of the rain…I had to throw my umbrella in the garbage! Then my purse was too big and same thing wanted me to take it back to the car (now with no umbrella, it’s raining and security wants me to return my purse to the car where it can be stolen!) I had to take my wallet and keys and phone out and dispose of my purse in the garbage! So ridiculous and no common sense, no empathy. I was never told of this ridiculous restrictions or I wouldn’t have bought these tickets.

    A night to forget

by Lazaro on 6/6/23Kaseya Center (formerly known as Miami-Dade Arena) - Miami

Ana Gabriel give a very good show the organization of the show was a disaster. 1-show start 1 1/2 hour late 2-people’s drunk bothering others around us 3-everybody standing in front of us from the very beginning of the show till we left 4-the lady seating behind me hit me with her hand in my head because she was jumping dancing and taking pictures at the same time. 5- we left before the end of the show last have a terrible headache 6-the worst show I ever attend

by None on 6/6/23Kaseya Center (formerly known as Miami-Dade Arena) - Miami

It was the first time I ever went to her concert and I was impressed! The kaseya center was packed. Never thought it would be. She sang beautifully!! My hat’s off to her because even though she had a cold she gave her all. I truly applaud her and wish she recuperates quickly from her cold and gets plenty of rest. Thank you, Ana Gabriel. 👏👏👏👏

We all liked tge concert if only we could hear the singer.

by Jackie on 6/6/23Kaseya Center (formerly known as Miami-Dade Arena) - Miami

My complaint and every on in our section was we could not hear Ana Gabriel bot only when she spoke but even the songs. It realy was a shame. Section 113 we all had the same complaint. The speakers were so loud that we con only hear the band and not Ana Gabriel. Hopeful next time the surround system is che jes before a concert. I have gone to many concerts there and never had that problem.
