  • AMAZING!!!!

    by Invictus64 on 12/28/15Parker Playhouse - Ft LauderdaleRating: 5 out of 5

The venue was delightful. The leg room is second to none. No matter where you sit, especially if you are towards the back, the view is outstanding. We booked early and had 5th row center which was magnificent. The show was outstanding and those dancers give Michael Flatley a run for his money any day. The woman playing the fiddle was superb. Can't wait for them to come back next year as a Xmas show or anytime throughout the year with a different kind of performance. BRAVO!

  • Irish Christmas

by Anonymous on 12/28/15Parker Playhouse - Ft LauderdaleRating: 5 out of 5

Simply the best show I have been to in a very long time. I didn't want it to end. The dancers were superb and danced with great passion. The singers sang like they were in a choir and it was only a trio! I could have listened to the musicians all night. What a surprise! I really didn't expect this to be so spectacular. I hope it returns next year!!!!!

  • An Irish Christmas - not an American one...

by TwoTenthsJr on 12/27/15The Maryland Theatre - HagerstownRating: 4 out of 5

This event was not based upon things normally associated with American Christmas traditions. While some of the songs performed were recognizable, many were new to us and definitely Irish in origin. The musicians were superb. The singing was well done as well as the acting. Most importantly, there was much more of the traditional Irish step dancing in this performance than what we expected or anticipated adding to our overall satisfaction with this event. The dancing was well-executed. All in all, a great event from our perspective.

  • Great dancing!

First time seeing this show. When the show began we were concerned about the quality because it was basically this huge stage with a 5 piece band on one side and the dancers/singers on the other side. Minimal props and basically no stage sets. Definitely felt like something was missing. The dancing was incredible. They have two world champions amongst their group. The band was very talented and each had a solo. The singers were good too and some of their songs were fun (12 days of Christmas). All in all, it seemed like they could have done more to dress up the stage. The dancers kind of got lost in the huge area they needed to fill up while on stage. Although the dancing was great, overall it seemed like it lacked a cohesiveness. Definitely recommend reading the program to understand the traditions around the various dances they did. Glad we did it, but don't think we would do it again with this particular group.

  • An Irish Christmas was wonderful!!!

Awesome! The best Christmas show we have seen in a while. Wonderful, the singing was great (the three girls voices were amazing). I was happy to be there, my husband surprised me with this one. I loved it from start to finish all the players were amazing. I hope they do this again next year.

  • A Unforgetable Irish Christmas!

by FloridaCeltic on 12/26/15Parker Playhouse - Ft LauderdaleRating: 4 out of 5

Parker Playhouse is an intimate venue allowing for a big experience which I would highly recommend! The Irish Dance troop is top notch! With the exception of one male usher/volunteer seated at the odd end seats near row J, who yelled so loudly throughout the performance that it disrupted our enjoyment of the show, the staff/ushers/volunteers were friendly and personable.

  • Spending time with the Irish

by RedScooter on 12/26/15Parker Playhouse - Ft LauderdaleRating: 4 out of 5

I went to see "An Irish Christmas" at the Parker Playhouse in Ft Lauderdale FL on Dec 23rd. I enjoyed all the singing, dancing and revelry. The only problem I had was that I needed to listen to it with my fingers in my ears. The music was great but their sound system was a little to strong for the small theater. I am sure I would have had no problem if the venue had been bigger and able to spread out the sound more.

  • This is pure Ireland

We have very close Irish relatives from Cork. We wish they could have seen this unforgettable production. The lovely gals have mastered levitation...How do they do that?? 'Tis the Best Best Best !!

  • Mildly Entertaining

by edatclt on 12/22/15The Maryland Theatre - HagerstownRating: 2 out of 5

It was OK for the first 15 minutes of the same dance steps over and over and over with average musical interludes evenly spaced throughout. My mistake was forgetting to wrap myself around a couple of goes of a good scotch first.

  • Great dancing!

by campbellfree on 12/22/15The Maryland Theatre - HagerstownRating: 3 out of 5

The dancing was incredible. However, I was hoping for more Christmas music. The lighting could be improved and more special effects. I did enjoy the concert but do not believe I will attend next year.

  • Christmas Delight.

  • Absolutely wonderful, would go again!

by Hibernophile on 12/22/15The Maryland Theatre - HagerstownRating: 5 out of 5

As someone who is half Irish and embraces her heritage, this show was more than just a fun bit of entertainment for the night, it felt like a bit of a trip to the Emerald Isle for a night and without the plane fare. :) The singers had absolutely beautiful voices with wonderful harmony and sense of humor. "12 Days of Christmas" had my husband and I rolling! The dancing was wonderful as well, as was the storytelling. We had such a great time, and enjoyed that the performers were pulling the audience into the experience as well. More than once the audience would clap along to the music with the encouragement of the performers...many did it even without much encouragement (yours truly, included) It was a great deal of fun and I'd recommend it to anyone who has a love of Irish culture!

  • Not worth it

    by myopinion93 on 12/11/15Strand Theater - LakewoodRating: 1 out of 5

Very disappointed for very few Christmas carols. Came on late, played 45 minutes, then took a 40 minute break. Came back for 30 minutes and show was over. Very disappointing and little show for the money.

  • Energetic Show!

    by 309traveler68 on 12/7/15Peoria Civic Center - PeoriaRating: 5 out of 5

My husband & I thoroughly enjoyed the Irish Christmas Concert. The cast was full of talented, energetic, enthusiastic folks who obviously enjoyed doing what they were doing. The music was not too loud, we could understand the words to the songs, & we were amazed by the dancing. Highly recommend.
