On a previous visit to Las Vegas, we saw Chriss Angel in mind freak. We were really impressed so we decided upon our return to go see amystika. Totally different. More on the dark side and very intriguing. We enjoyed it as much or more than mind freak. It's a must see when you're in Vegas.
I predicted that this show would not last long. It lasted 6 months. I called it!
Just needs lots of work to be able to fight against other amazing shows in Vegas. I seen several people just get up and leave with great seats!
My family and I really enjoyed the show. The show contained just the right amount of magic/illusions and comedy. Looking forward to seeing more shows like this one.
This show was loud and dark. I wanted to see Chris Angel and nope…all you hear is his voice. I sat at the end of an isle towards the middle. Was startled by a performer not once but twice. I did not find the price I paid worth it.
Amystika is the story of Criss Angel,Criss Angel doesn’t appear during or in the show itself but does a voice over which I think is live from what I could hear or tell. The lead host on the stage actually draws attention away from the enjoyment of the show and the other performer’s with his unnecessary profanity and hammy shtick. If you’d like to see Criss himself perform see the early show “Mindfreak”. The show itself with the lead host is great and well done.
We were grateful for the tickets donated via VetTix and had a great seats! The theater was impressive. The music was incredibly loud and the base so deep it like it was rattling my insides. There were some incredible special effects and other parts that were hard to understand. Two acts out shined the rest…a magic trick and death defying trick…they were INCREDIBLE! The over all theme was positive but had many “dark” or disturbing moments. The comedian who opened the show was crass and swore multiple times with children on the front row and even introduced them to an “escort” in the audience. Later, a part involving audience members and the comedian got trashy and suggestive. Not a family show in my opinion.
Save your money, you will not see Chris Angle, this show is about his life so you would think it would have him in it? he narrates the show, but it lacks the art of magic which is what he is known for!
Criss Angel narrated the show but he’s not in the show performing any magic tricks. We pay to see Criss Angel perform, LIVE! Las Vegas is full of Great Magicians. I guess Criss Angel is no longer Great. I hope to see you perform next time. It’s amazing to watch a magician perform. ENJOYABLE!
There was many effects that were incredible and engaging that would blow anyone's mind. This is a life story about Criss Angel growing up co-created with Franco Dragone who unfortunately passed that day, both are known for their special effects and magic. What is missing is Criss Angel himself being his story as someone was impersonating him, which is not the same. Criss is a huge personality which is obvious with the show MIND FREAK. That's the only negative that I have, otherwise it's a great show.
