Felt a little like I was watching Chuck Schumer, not Amy

by JHawk on 12/13/22Orpheum Theatre - Los Angeles

I was so excited for this tour and simply put, it fell flat. The highlight was the theater and that isn’t good if that was my favorite part. In a town like LA Amy could have had way better openers, both acts were below mediocre. There were few laughs and fewer claps. They didn't perform like they were opening for such a star. Amy lacked energy, it was slow moving and many jokes were old material. You kind of knew or could guess the punchlines. I didn’t feel I laughed as much ss I wanted and that she put in any effort and tickets were well over $100. Not sure I would see her again and that is disappointing cause I was very excited before the show

Good show. She’s a little tamer than before but I’m ok with that

accidentally signed up for wrong time

by happy accident on 12/13/22Orpheum Theatre - Los Angeles

invited by friends to join them for 8:00 show. they drove me there. 4 of us, some of our seats were different. I had my own. We agreed where to meet up after. As we split up I was told that it looked like someone had already scanned my ticket. Turns out, I was at the wrong show. I was told to go to the ticket window. I confirmed I was solo. One minute later I was handed a ticket for Row A, Seat 7. I couldn't believe how amazing this turned out to be. My old seat of Orch 7 on the very far side was far surpassed. I loved every single minute. The organization of the line, the phone pouches (before and after) the security...all A+++++ even before my happy accident. My friends and I agreed we must go out on the town and see small shows like this more often. Amy was the best and so was my experience.

    Great Night

by Sean D. on 12/13/22Orpheum Theatre - Los Angeles

She just lands every joke. Takes risks with her own body that make people feel so comfortable: she’s the best out there - Amy and Rock.

    Amy was fun but short

by Marshall in LA on 12/12/22Orpheum Theatre - Los Angeles

Great show, but very short in duration. Maybe 1:15-30 at most. Enjoyed the show but wish she performed longer for what we all paid. The two openers were funny and appropriate time.

The show was great! She is raunchy but so adorable that she is not offensive!

Excellent Night - Amy Schumer is Hilarious

by Sally on 12/7/22Fox Performing Arts Center - Riverside

Great night. Amy Schumer is hilarious. Only issue was late comers that interrupt the listening pleasure.

    It was ok

by Girl just want to have laughs on 12/7/22Fox Performing Arts Center - Riverside

The front act were funnier. Amy came out like she wasn’t in the mood. Should have just watched her netflix special instead of arranging for a baby sitter to see her in person.

Good show, but can't use your phone

by Chris on 12/6/22San Jose Civic - San Jose

Amy Schumer always gives a good show, this one was fine but not the best though: she was probably tired because of all the touring, and I wish she had apologized for the rebooking a month after the original date. What I really didn't like, is that our phones were put in pouches and locked for the length of the show. I don't think it's a good idea for several reasons: first, the pouch wouldn't fit in my purse, and what if there is an emergency call? Also, I find it way more fun and fair to be able to take (bad) pictures and post them on social media, isn't that a good thing for the promotion of the artist? Not sure I'll go see another show in these conditions.

    Great Venue!

by Del on 12/6/22San Jose Civic - San Jose

There’s not a bad seat in the house. I saw Amy Schumer a couple days ago and it was easy to get in and out of the Civic Center. The only thing I would change is that they let people in late whenever they came, the people would be talking and standing up so we couldn’t see Amy. I think they should let people in, in between comics. Also if they are more than 15 minutes late for the main show don’t let them come in! Or make them stand in the back. It’s unfair to the people who get there on time and are prepared to watch the show when it is scheduled.

    Great performance

by Pete on 12/6/22San Jose Civic - San Jose

The performances were great. So good to be at live events again! The venue has room for improvement. There was no warning that phones would be diasbled as you enter the venue - important given how many people use their phone as their primary payment method (food, drinks, merch, etc). The venue also let "late-comers" be seated while the performers were on stage. Big distraction for the performers and for those of us that got there on time. Very annoying!

Show was great but surprised by phone pouches

by R. L. on 12/6/22San Jose Civic - San Jose

The show was good and the openers were really great. I just wish they would have given a heads up when you buy/get your tickets that they are going to make you lose access to your phone. It makes sense and I would have been fine with the policy but they should give advance notice what to expect. If I had small children at home with a babysitter I would have been extremely angry.

    Poorly run event

by Yks on 12/6/22San Jose Civic - San Jose

Amy was fine. This review is for the venue. We got there 30 minutes before show was scheduled to start. The line was around the block even though the doors were open. It seems the process of locking the phones slowed everything way down. I’ve never experienced such a long wait with the phones being locked. We missed most of the opening acts. Sat down just in time for Amy Schumer. The exit process is equally as slow. This event needs to figure out their process.

    Great show bad venue

by Ale on 12/6/22San Jose Civic - San Jose

Amy was HILARIOUS! I loved her show, the venue not so much... The seats were uncomfortable, the stage was so far, and they didn't have the T.V. monitors on so that we could actually see her. I spend the whole show squinting my eyes to try to see her facial expressions. The sound was also less to be desired, should of been at a louder volume so that it could be heard better.

Civic needs to figure things out

by AJ on 12/6/22San Jose Civic - San Jose

Amy Schumer was of course her hilarious self. My issue was with the venue. Any time my phone has been taken and placed in a locked bag for an event, I have been told about it by email or text before hand. It caused chaos with no one being ready at the San Jose Civic. I also was bummed that my small bag of dinner leftovers was thrown out. Was told there is no food in the venue, though I did not plan on eating it there!. If there’s no food at the venue, why are they selling potato chips and candy???

    Just an okay show

by B on 12/6/22San Jose Civic - San Jose

I didn’t have any expectations going in. But I thought Amy was just okay, not great. The show didn’t seem to flow that well for being on the tail end of her tour and she kept looking at her notes. It was also kind of weird when she really went off on Hilaria Baldwin (not that it wasn’t funny, because it was), but she really picked on her. The strangest thing was the whole smart phone and watch locking pouches! Not that there was anything great to record anyway, but it would have been nice to have had a heads up about that. And, it would have been good to at least have a handle on the stupid pouch - it was truly awkward and unnecessary.

by Scrotorthebarbarian on 12/6/22San Jose Civic - San Jose

Well the gloor seats are very cramped and uncomfortable. Also if you had balcony seats it was worse because the venue did not turn on the large screens. We could not see the comedian and her facial expressions. Ruining the whole experience. Also very under stuffed no o e to take our phones out of pouches when show was over. I will not be returning to this theater
