The show is very original and the whole setup is fascinating. I do wish his music were a bit more varied. Definitely worth it though.

Awesome. Amon is an incredible sound designer/composer and hearing his stuff at high volume was thrilling. The creativity that went into the video was equally as stunning. Very high quality work on both sides. This show sets the bar extremely high for computer-generated content. The first half of the show included material with a very high degree of complexity - too much to take it all in, and yet, it was always completely engaging. The second half of the show included some simpler material that was easier to digest, and therefor more powerful. Both were very exciting. This is an amazing show, not to be missed.

Most disappointed I've ever been after a concert.

by Supermodifier on 10/2/12The Electric Factory - Philadelphia

It started with Holy Other, he was awesome. Everything was going well and then some guy I didn't hear the name of came out and started doing a weird kind of mix where he took other people's rhymes and just put new beats on them? It was weird and lasted for WAY too long, longer than Holy Other. That would've been annoying but tolerable. Then after a few minutes intermission, the man himself took the stage in his awesome stage structure. I was so excited I've been a fan of his for years and while I wasn't crazy about his latest album I LOVED everything before this. He's one of my favourite recording artists. When he started it was alright, but after about ten minutes of a solid bass drone and terrible broken glass noises I started to become upset. He played 2 songs that didn't have a straight bass assault throughout, at one point, my friend's girlfriend thought she was going to vomit from so much bass. I wish I were exaggerating. The acoustics of the venue (The Electric Factory in Philadelphia) didn't help at all and the speakers were over-modulating but it was still nothing like any of his songs. It was so disappointing I don't even know what to do.

    Art

by GabeMouse on 9/20/12The Electric Factory - Philadelphia

This was a beautiful, clean one-of-a-kind event. The display was amazing. The visuals were majestic. It was the best sci-fi film I've seen in a long time, it was art, and the music was bold, experimental and inventive. Amon Tobin is an Original.

This was the most amazing show I have ever seen. I've been a longtime fan of Amon Tobin, ever since I heard "Permutations". When ISAM came out, I was caught off guard by the dubstep-style direction he took, but upon the second listen I concluded that this man could do no wrong. He does GOOD dubstep, and I wouldn't even call it that. Naturally I jumped on the tickets as soon as I heard he was coming to Denver. I looked up Youtube videos of the show and once I saw a few seconds of it I stopped watching because I wanted to be dazzled in person. I had no idea what I was in for: I have never seen the type of visual 3D projections that were in use during this show! I was absolutely mesmerized by the stunning visuals this whole show, my mouth agape and the mindbending artistry of it all. Tobin's DJ booth was in the middle of the set in one of the 3D cubes and would occasionally go transparent so you can see him in there rockin' away. IN A SPACESUIT!!!! Then he did two kickass encores that made life even better. This show absolutely blew me away, I will never forget it.

    ISAM

by Barnmart on 9/19/12The Electric Factory - Philadelphia

Amon Tobin provides a show without peer that gives us a glimpse into what the future of psychedelic music can be. He takes the audience on a journey in sight and sound through the cosmos on the back of bass rhythms so deep you can feel the very air you breath vibrating. Absolutely incredible!

    Intense

by Watzy on 9/19/12The Electric Factory - Philadelphia

Sick show. At a loss for words to describe it. Just go see it. I had a great view and was able to get up close but the system was a bit too loud.. I love my music loud and I love to feel the bass, (believe me I do) but there is a point where it becomes too loud and really rings your ears and you lose out on all of the sounds that the artist is playing. If they turned the lows down just a tiny bit it would have been perfect.

You HAVE to see this show!

by CountZero on 9/19/12The Electric Factory - Philadelphia

This is without a doubt unlike anything I have ever seen with my eyes!! If you have the chance to see this show and not take it than you're a fool. Saying it's a concert is inaccurate it's more like an audio/visual experience.

    Amon Tobin was incredible

by happiestguyever on 9/19/12The Electric Factory - Philadelphia

I first heard Amon Tobin's music in a skate video from back in the day, and have kept a loose watch on his work since. I have to say, seeing this show live was like adding an entirely new layer to his music that gives me goosebumps when I listen to the songs I heard at Isam Live. The visuals were amazing to say the least; it felt like I was in another world.

    Amon Tobin Is The Master

by Blako on 9/17/12Manhattan Center Hammerstein Ballroom - New York

I went last year to the Brooklyn Masonic Temple to see ISAM and was blown away by the visual and auditory symmetry that unfolded before my eyes and ears. Seeing v2.0 was even more awe inspiring, as new visuals were introduced into the highly intricate and well thought out choreography of advanced sensory programming. With Capt. Tobin wearing an astronaut suit, he commanded a spaceship which traveled deep into the Amon galaxy. I'm not sure I've come back from this new dimension, but when that moment arrives, I'll have a lot of work to do describing exactly what I experienced. I've been a fan since 1994 and to follow Amon after all these years, witnessing the evolution of his work is a blessing. I know no other musician who takes such care in finding sounds, and then carefully layering them together, with the precision and passion that Amon does. He has set the bar for innovation in the electronic music field, and I eagerly await ISAM v3.0.

AMON TOBIN BLOW UNTIL YOUR LAST NEURON

by chitara on 9/17/12Manhattan Center Hammerstein Ballroom - New York

I've been in many electronic concerts...I was a dj myself in a time, but this one was memorable. It's like going to Neptune or cross 200 years in the future. Totally recommended for those who are not fear of challenge their minds.

    Kicking electronic beats, fantastic visuals.

by zorrofx on 9/17/12Manhattan Center Hammerstein Ballroom - New York

Amon Tobin has been doing his thing for a long time now. He's truly out there on his own, it's more than just a techno show, it's an audio-visual installation that could easily live in a contemporary art museum. I don't think that's an overstatement.
