Amon Amarth Tickets

Amon Amarth was just ok to the group of us that went. Their sound was all muddy and after the third song it all sounded the same. Fear Factory was amazing I haven't heard a show that good in a long time. Dino is back and with Gene playing drums adds a better nice pop to their old stuff. It's like how it was supposed to be but with an added greatness. Fear Factory's new song now were now heard how they were supposed to be, the album could not capture or give it justice to how it came accross live. That is the best sounding new music I have ever heard.

i've seen fear factory 10 yrs ago with kittie and spineshank and i most say they havent lost their touch. kudos to them excellent song selection from old to new band members great bunch of guys. the other bands where great too so over all great show.

amon was great, really got the crowd going. played mostly ALL of their best songs. I have never seen the house of blues roar and jump as much as amon made them. best experience ever.

All three bands were awesome. The crowd was insane. The acoustics were great, and Amon Amarth put on an epic show.

i want amon amarth to come back to west hollywood again and i want to see them again.

It was the first show of this North America tour, and the bassist was a fill-in, but they came out of the gates in a flawless furor. IIRC, they started with Twilight of the Thunder God, one of many tunes that sounds like the galloping hooves of marauding vikings on horseback. Speaking of which, the highlight of the night was seeing two dudes in plastic Toys R Us viking helmets make their way into the pit. Hilarious and brilliant, because it wasn't mocking but it also didn't take the viking theme so damn seriously. In contrast to, say, the dude who had some (hopefully fake) animal skin as his only upper body adornment. Anyway, most of the setlist came from the most recent couple of albums, which was fine by me because I haven't been following them for long. For example, two of my other galloping faves were Guardians of Asgaard and Tattered Banners and Bloody Flags, both from the latest album. There's a lyric in the latter song (or should I say battle hymn) to the effect "The earth moves under our feet," which is an apt description of the show. It was so sweet, I'm already jonesing to see these guys again. Next time, I'll have to one-up the helmet guys by bringing a broomstick toy horse and my inflatable Metal Hammer warhammer.

From the opening bands to the end of the show there was no dissappointment. If you never been to an Amon Amarth show its well worth the money to get in.

Loved the energy of all the bands that night. Loved the venue, not a bad seat in the house. I took my 15 year old son and his friend and they had a great time.

I got to the house of blues right before Amon Amarth started. Show was sold out and Amon Amarth kicked ass as usual! One of the best live bands ever!

This event was totally awesome! I went to see Amon Amarth, who were incredible, but I loved the supporting bands also. It was an excellent show and the crowd and band were pumped! The pit was insane with crazed metal heads, but people were cool and picked up anyone who got knocked on their ass. Some guy was wearing a wolf pelt, which was awesome, too.

If you like metal, this show was awesome. If you like Amon Amarth, it was more amazing than you can write in a review. There are only so many words in the English language, and none of them are good enough to describe the level of awesomeness that Amon Amarth dished out. Every second was more epic than the last. If Amon Amarth was the last thing you heard, you could die happy. Unfortunately, we didn't get to see Holy Grail because we arrived late, but Eluveitie just gained a new fan. They have a very unique and interesting sound that makes them very fun to listen to. On a scale of 1 to10 they scored an 11, which greatly contributed to the overall brutal awesomeness that was this show.

I've seen AA many times since 2004 and they were always great, no matter whether they were opening for Trivium and Children of Bodom, participated in the festival Sounds of the Underground, or headlined the tour. They were always on top of everything. Great sounds, great music, great atmosphere, great fans. Love it. Highly recommended band to see.

At first I was a little disappointed because it seemed like Amon Amarth was doing almost the same set list they did when I saw them a year ago. But, a few songs into the set they started changing things up, throwing in some great older songs I didn't expect to hear. Johan Hegg, the singer, did do some of the same gimmicks as the last time I saw them, like getting the audience to guess the last word of a song title by saying "DEATH IN....(audience shouts) FIRE!" The high energy, ferocity, an passion unleashed by the band and especially Hegg with his chanting and powerful laughter kept the audience, and myself, pumped up and excited for each new song they played.

What a great show. Amon Amarth delivered from the very start. Great interaction with the crowd. I don't think I have ever seen so many people in the House of Blues at one time! If they come around again I definitely would go and see them. It was very worth it.

Saw these guys last spring in AZ--drove from LA just for the show. They are one of the best bands in the WORLD. From the first notes of the first Amon Amarth song I ever heard (Twilight of the Thunder God) I was a FAN. I own all of their albums now, and have only become a bigger fan. They are now part of my Metal (Un)holy Trinity, with Sabbath/Heaven and Hell and Metallica. They don't put on a big spectacle of a show like Alice Cooper or Iron Maiden, but their music doesn't need anything else to WOW the audience. I'll see them and their viking warriors/stage fighters again this week, and any time they come to So. Cal...or AZ...or Nevada...

I loved it, they are so metal. If you are a viking, and like metal, this show is for you
