    Great job

by Carolinajeff on 8/6/18Peoples Natural Gas Park - Johnstown

My wife and I really enjoyed the Floodcity Musicfest. I’m a huge Blues Traveler fan so that was the main reason for attending. We had vip tickets for both days. Well worth the price. Not too crowded, good security, easy access to bathrooms. Food truck vendors were really good too.

Good festival, but more variety would enhance

by Frequentfestivalflyer on 8/6/18Peoples Natural Gas Park - Johnstown

I thought Andy Frasco & the UN were OUTSTANDING. I would recommend more bands like that. It was high-energy and engaging. Folk on the main stage seemed better suited for the Oil House and Stevee Wellons for the main. Wellons was also very good. I would add more jazz, more blues, zydeco, FUNK, and no country doing covers. Cover bands are for bars, in my opinion. Folk, blue grass, and swing were enjoyable. I miss bands like Trombone Shorty. The main stage in the grass bled into the sound of the other stages. I prefer the main in the parking lot. I'd like to see more food vendors and I liked that the church participated. More food choices is a must...especially ice cream on a steamy summer day!

Love this festival. Don't like the changes.

by Jamie422 on 8/10/17Peoples Natural Gas Park - Johnstown

For ten plus years this was an outstanding music festival, but a change occurred in 2017. The festival was decreased from three days to two days. It was decreased from four stages to three stages which altered the schedule allowing less performers playing simultaneously instead of a more alternating schedule. The three stages were confined to a smaller area which when the crowd expanded it became "overcrowded". This year with one less day and one less stage made the move to booking two Saturday headliners who have not released any significant new music in several years all the more disappointing. Jefferson Starship and Sugar Ray have had hits in past decades but have little relevance now except as nostalgia acts. The festival in the past has had a great mix of new up and coming artists and veteran artists who are still releasing new music. I have loved this festival for many years and hold some hope next year will be a return to past excellence.

    flood city music festival

by idonthaveanicknameanddont on 8/8/17Peoples Natural Gas Park - Johnstown

Friday was hit or miss, Sean Patrick McGraw was good and John Mceuen was outstanding he saved the night, the Clarks were a poor choice for the headliner they are ok at best actually left in the middle of their set which is something I rarely do, Donna and the Buffalo or the Spin Doctors would have been a better fit there one of them would have made for a outstanding night. Saturday was really good Amanda K Spiecer had a nice set, can never do wrong with Driftwood they are always great, the bands on the side stages weren't bad, Jefferson Starship was everthing you could have expected the were unbelievable, probably put down the best set at the festival since Dr John, Sugar Ray was entertaining, I nice finishing act. Overall it was a good weekend and as always will be looking forward to next year

    Substandard

by maxzizzle on 8/8/17Peoples Natural Gas Park - Johnstown

A Starship cover band, Sugar Ray, and the Clarks? Lame headliners, and many problems created by downsizing the event.

JJ Grey and Mofro were freakin awesome!!!!!!

by Kristaesp on 8/11/15Peoples Natural Gas Park - Johnstown

This was such an awesome music festival. JJ Grey and his amazing band were so bad ass! JJ always puts on such a great show and gives it everything he's got. Big Head Todd and Eric Lindell were super too!

Eric Tessmer Band and JJ Grey and Mofros: awesome!

by Sameash on 8/11/15Peoples Natural Gas Park - Johnstown

I was only able to make the Saturday shows and saw ETB acoustic and they were amazing! My family said the full show the night before was even better. JJ Grey and the Mofro's lit it up! And top it off with Big Head Todd and Monsters. What an incredible event of blues/rock, kudos to the organizers! I will definitely make a trip to Austin in the near future to see ETB and eat some BBQ.

Good Value, Fun Time, Reasonable Prices

by abcdfish on 8/10/15Peoples Natural Gas Park - Johnstown

we have attended this event every year starting in 2011 and it is always a fun time with great music, mellow atmosphere, very reasonable prices for tickets, food, beer, tee-shirts, etc..... for example: $5 drafts, $15 tee-shirts....its too bad that all concerts wont offer more reasonable prices like this inside the venue...
