Bare Naked Ladies are awesome live!!

by TimIngridW on 9/3/135th Street Beach - Virginia Beach

My wife and I have been big fans of BNL since the early 90s. We were so excited to finally be able to see them live, and it was better than we even hoped it would be. May be the most fun concert we have ever been to. Can't wait to see them again!

    Bare Naked Ladies

by Paula630 on 9/3/135th Street Beach - Virginia Beach

Bare Naked Ladies rocked the beach. They were really amazing and they made sure that everyone had a great time. They put on the best show of the day, the other bands were good also. I would go and see Bare Naked Ladies again, and I plan to find out where they are playing this year.

    Daughtry was AWESOME!

by DonnaH1 on 9/3/135th Street Beach - Virginia Beach

This was our first time at the American Music Festival and really enjoyed it. I didn't enjoy Fuel that much, but that was mostly because I was not familiar with the band or their music. Daughtry was awesome. The sound from the stage and the big screens were great. The only criticism I have is I would have made the stage higher so that the band could be seen better by the folks on the beach who weren't right up front.

Wish the ticket had correct info

by AmyLynn98 on 9/3/135th Street Beach - Virginia Beach

I thought the info on the ticket was correct: 1:30 Smash Mouth, 2:30 BNL. I even double checked the American Music Festival website. Guess what...it was 1:30 Longreef, 2:30 Smash Mouth, 3:30 BNL. I would have willingly seen Smash Mouth, but I was there to see BNL. Thanks for wasting my time with a band I didn't want to see, as well as being one I didn't know I would be seeing.

    Incredible!

by 1VaLady on 9/2/135th Street Beach - Virginia Beach

I have been at the AMF for 3 years. Daughtry was the best by far. The sound system, his passion while performing....incredible!!

Saw Chicago and they were awesome. Had no interest in seeing Village People and Gloria Gaynor. Wanted to see Pat Benatar and REO Speedwagon but the parking situation at the beach on Sunday evening was terrible. I'm not sure why the city of Virginia Beach didn't offer the satellite parking at Camp Pendleton as they have in years past. That would have eased a lot of the congestion. We didn't get to see the concert because we couldn't find a parking spot. Very disappointed when that occurred.

    American Music Festival

by Geena on 9/7/105th Street Beach Stage - Virginia Beach

Was not the best I've seen so far. The Village People STILL had the same energy. Chicago was okay, but not at the top of their game. The original trombonist was absent. The rest of the bands were fair at the best and the sound system was pretty bad, I hope next year, the bands are much better.

    Fabulous fun-filled weekend!

by ClassicRockFan66 on 9/7/105th Street Beach Stage - Virginia Beach

This was our 11th year in a row and we would definitely recommend it. There's something for everyone. It's always a fun, family oriented event. The beaches are clean and wide, the music is great, and one time will have you hooked!

    Chicago and Pat Benatar Fantastic

by gdmercad on 9/6/105th Street Beach Stage - Virginia Beach

Enjoyed this year's festival. The weather and music was fantastic. Was disappointed with the parking situation. The parking attendants in some of the lots were on a $$$ Frenzy and were charging $20 to park. One parking attendant told me to make up my mind or it would go up to $25-$30. We parked farther away and hiked 25 minutes. They should regulate the greedy money attendants and curb the frenzy we experienced.

    American music festival VA Beach

by midnightnut on 9/6/105th Street Beach Stage - Virginia Beach

On the beach venue. Brought beach chairs and a cooler (which was allowed with restrictions) was set for the evening. Passport pins were well worth the event price and very easy to pickup at the event entrance.

    REO Rocked the House!

by Chowgirl4 on 9/6/105th Street Beach Stage - Virginia Beach

Awesome weekend, with Awesome weather for the Race and Shows! Earl who? Chicago was actually a little dissapointing and not up to their usual stellar standards. Might be time for them to retire the name, with only one original member present at the show. Pat Benatar was great!! And REO stole the weekend with an amazing performance. They sounded as good as they ever have and the audience loved them! The vocal "quality" was still firmly in place, as was the trademark sound!
