    What a waste

by CMorgan30 on 9/4/175th Street Beach - Virginia Beach

Overpriced and under talent. One whole day was cancelled with no mention of how to make it up. I will never attend this event again and I will not recommend it to anyone that enjoys music or their time.

I would not buy the three day pass. First day cancelled due to weather. Second day moved at last minute due to weather. Third day could care less because we were over it at that point. Never went and probably will pass on this event in the future. If you want to try it, buy insurance like we did.

    Not very VIP

by Gtongco on 9/4/175th Street Beach - Virginia Beach

Waited for a drink for an hour, gave up & went to preffered side and took 15 minutes. We had troubles getting out of VIP section to use restrooms. People working were very rude. Concert was blocked off by big metal unit and most of general seating had to watch screen and couldn't see band at all. Food was cold & old on Sunday night in VIP. Spent way to much money for a bad experience.

    Mediocre Overall

by Dragonfly12055 on 9/7/165th Street Beach - Virginia Beach

The lineup was meh. The music had to be moved to the Convention Center, which has lousy acoustics; however, I realize it was the best the organizers could do on short notice. What they could have done to improve the situation was allow chairs to be brought in. Standing for three hours is not fun. Also the small section of chairs set up for handicapped patrons was quickly claimed by able-bodied people. Our handicapped friend had to stand for over 30 minutes before a chair opened up. When we asked an event representative about a chair for our friend, he was unable to provide one. We saw UB40, but chose not to return the following evening for Kulture Klub for the above reasons. I don't think we will return next year.

Was not a good time for the show because of bad weather. We did not go to the show because it was first come first served .Plus standing only and we did not want to be out in the rain since we already got wet from walking to the beach to find out info. Nobody seam to know anything about the concert because of the weather. We did not have access to internet to find out what was going on. We where very disappointed that we made the long trip and lost not just seeing the concert but the money for tickets as well. Not sure if I would buy my tickets a head again. I think we be better off to pay more and wait to get them at the show.

    American Music Festival VA Beach----Cheated

by JimnVB on 9/7/165th Street Beach - Virginia Beach

I paid for three nights of concerts, however one of the nights was cancelled.... I believe someone needs to refund 33.3% of the ticket price?

    Weather was a problem

by Jambolover on 9/7/165th Street Beach - Virginia Beach

Yes, the weather ruined their plans, but the Convention Center was HORRIBLE. It was like listening to music in a fitness center, shrieking sound system and NO chairs. Also, the staff was the opposite of friendly, actually hostile. My friend wanted a button, but was told we could not get it until the next night. Next night just told NOT now, but later they were gone. Truly hostile people...amazing to me.

    daughtry is amazingly cute

by Beachgirl276 on 9/6/135th Street Beach - Virginia Beach

The concert was very good. The people were very nice and very respectable. Fuel was pretty good not a big fan. I would suggest no smoking at the concert.

I'll sit in the rain for Third Eye Blind anytime

by ThirdEyeBlindFan on 9/4/135th Street Beach - Virginia Beach

Weather wasn't great, but for me and the thousands of other people out on the beach, it was well worth the wait. The show was incredible and it was the highlight of the summer getting to see one of my favorite bands.

    Worst concert experience ever

by FrontRowFanVA on 9/4/135th Street Beach - Virginia Beach

This had to have been the worst concert experience ever. The event was poorly organized and executed. There were intoxicated fans that were a nuisance and security was ineffective in handling the situation. I will never again go to the American Music Festival.

    BnL does not disappoint!

by racegirl12 on 9/4/135th Street Beach - Virginia Beach

I was so disappointed to miss the BnL concert when it came to Raleigh, I just had to find them somewhere else. I am SO glad I did. The group was awesome, just as they were the last time I'd seen them a few years back. Great sound, funny, entertaining. Fantastic! And the songs they played from the upcoming release were great. I highly recommend this show!!!

All the bands were great! Of course Daughtry was incredible but even the opening band on Saturday, Longreef, was incredible. We really loved the venue. The passport pin was great for convenience and a wonderful keepsake.

Third Eye Blind knocked it out of the park!

by JMezzo on 9/3/135th Street Beach - Virginia Beach

I saw the shows Friday and Sunday (missed Saturday against my wishes). Friday was forgettable: Fuel was good but just not into the show. The break between the two was ridiculously long. Daughtry is a waste of time to any but AI fans who don't care he's ruined his voice with screaming. I left after three songs. Sunday, the opening act was great, and the awards presentation didn't slow things down too badly. But TEB was incredible- their energy and performance were off the charts. They played stuff from each album, the lead singer really made it feel like an intimate performance with, I don't know, my 5,000 new best friends.. He really got the crowd into the show, and it was everything I had hoped it would be. And I've wanted to see them live since I was a college freshman listening to their sophomore album on endless repeat.. And it was the only good moment in a crappy weekend- AND it was my birthday. :) Thanks TEB- will buy your new album JUST based on this concert!

    Great music on the beach!

by Poufpouf1 on 9/3/135th Street Beach - Virginia Beach

Bare Naked Ladies were the high point. But tons of great bands. Really enjoyed the warm up band Long Reef. Really talented and not hard on the eyes either! I am a huge fan of Third Eye Blind... Too bad that Stephan Jenkins had a cold. Music for everyone. My only recommendation would be to spread the concerts out. The free ones were all at the same times, so you couldn't see much of it. Great time on the beach!

    Great venue

by Smithkm1 on 9/3/135th Street Beach - Virginia Beach

I love this every year. Barenaked Ladies put on one of the best shows I've ever seen, they should headline every year! I was a little shocked Eve 6 was pretty terrible but we had fun anyway. If you have never been to this event I highly recommend it. Even if your not interested in all of the band 18 bucks a ticket for like 10 shows is unbelievable.
