Michael Grimm should have his own tour soon!

    by Iwillleavemyhaton on 10/3/10Paramount Theatre-Oakland - Oakland

Liked the show more than I thought I would. Not a real AGT fan but enjoyed most numbers nonetheless. Paramount Theater was a great venue although parking instructions/information should have been included when tickets were purchased. VIP M&G was a little disorganized since this was the first show ever. Biggest disappointment was having Michael Grimm sing only 3 songs - he was the headliner and winner so he should have been given the most number of songs and longer segment! Some numbers could have been cut short. Michael was AWESOME though. Great with a live audience. Can't wait for his solo tour.

    INCREDIBLE PERFORMANCES

    by BayleeLA on 10/3/10Paramount Theatre-Oakland - Oakland

This was the greatest show and a dream for myself and my boyfriend. Having been out of concert land for almost 10 years. I went with a bang. VIP orch tickets. The best night was meeting the people in the show and especially MICHAEL GRIMM. just fabulous. I wish I could get tickets to another one.

    An Exciting Evening!

    by sixty2 on 10/3/10Paramount Theatre-Oakland - Oakland

This was a great show, very fun and entertaining. Of course not ALL my favorite acts from the 2010 season were there, but the ones that we did get to see were as wonderful as I had hoped. The biggest problem was the sound system, especially at the beginning. There was way too much base, and it was turned up so loud that it sometimes drowned out the singers. Christine and Alie, who were the first singers to go on, were muffled by the volume, even of their own mics, so we couldn't understand any of their lyrics. (BTW, these two were even stronger than they'd been on TV. Their singing was very strong and gorgeous, which we found out later in the show when the sound system had been tweeked a bit..) Their duet with Taylor Mathews was fabulous. He was fabulous. So were all the acts. Jerry Springer was also a surprisingly good host, with a touching story of his own about the American Dream. Altogether they really did put on a great show.

    Yea, America's got talent

    by J467 on 10/3/10Paramount Theatre-Oakland - Oakland

So much fun. We especially enjoyed Jackie Evancho, Michael Grasso the magician, Anna and Patryck (the ballroom dancers), Studio One Young Best Society, prince Poppycock, and Fighting Gravity. Everyone did amazing, but these performers were worth watching Live. Jackie, hands made the show worthwhile on her own. Listening to her sing is an otherwordly experience. And the ballroom dancers can probably be professionals on Dancing with the Stars right now, if only they didn't have to finish grade school. Jeremy V. injured himself prior to the event, but came onstage with arm in cast to say hello. Overall, it was a happy, upbeat show.

    A+ performances, bad sound system

    by Talentlesstoo on 10/3/10Paramount Theatre-Oakland - Oakland

The performances were incredible, and Jerry was surprisingly sincere and funny. However the sound system and acoustics were terrible, which was not good for the singers.

America's Got Talent Live! was amazing!

    by vuggy on 10/3/10Paramount Theatre-Oakland - Oakland

I loved every minute of the show. The acts that I already liked, I loved. The acts that I didn't think were so good before the show, they surprised me. Jackie is a one in a billion talent. She will sing before kings and queens, and they will be blessed. I think the whole audience felt blessed to hear her sing. Prince Poppycock defines the word artist. His performance was a visual delight (as well as great singing, showmanship, humor, story telling, etc.) Fighting Gravity's act was better than any of the ones shown on TV, and it was so much better to see them live. I wasn't a big fan of Taylor Matthews before the show, but I was after it. He was great. All the acts were great. This is definitely a must see show.

Prince Poppycocks Figaro was the winning productio

    by ernies35 on 10/3/10Paramount Theatre-Oakland - Oakland

It was all very enjoyable, except the volume at the beginning was way too loud. Fighting Gravity and Prince Poppycock would have been one two if we had voted.

Better on tv. Saw helper in magic act give up the secret. Saw how the college guys did their thing. Wish I hadn't. Ruined performance. Won't be going to Vegas to see them. High point was the little opera singing girl. She DID NOT disappoint. Fantastic. Stage was second rate. Jerry springer was either tired and lifeless or just not interested to be there. Bring back the MC from the tv version he at least had energy. Bike stunt guy broke his arm some time earlier so he didn't perform. Muchael grimm was good, but not great. Prince poppycock was entertaining but they watered down his sets so it didnt pop like on tv. they obviously were trying to save on stage set design costs. Overall, disappointing.

    America's got Talent was entertaining

    by traveler1t on 10/3/10Paramount Theatre-Oakland - Oakland

The road show, America's Got Talent, consists of 8-10 of the best acts from the TV series, including the top 4 acts in the finals. Slightly less slick than the television broadcast (as you would expect from a live performance) it nevertheless showcases the talent very well. The Paramount Theater is a wonderful venue. The VIP opportunity to meet some of the talent after the show is a mixed blessing. Great to see your favorites up close, but too much of a delay and too regimented.

    They Got Talent!!

    by JJSF2 on 10/3/10Paramount Theatre-Oakland - Oakland

This was a great show. The singers were better than ever. I think because they weren't so pressured and nervous as the TV show they were more relaxed and sounded perfect. The sisters were amazing...much improved from the TV show. Jackie sang like an angel. It is worth the money just to see her. Prince Poppycock was a major hit at the show! His numbers are spectacular and exciting and his voice phenomenal. It was fun to see Jerry Springer. He is very funny and enjoyable. The magician is mind boggling. Every single act was even better in person. Go see it!! You won't regret it!
