This was the first time seeing Amanda in concert, and she was everything we had hoped for, and more. She is a bundle of energy, which is wonderfully contagious to the audience, and what a voice, it's as good live in concert as it is recorded, and that's not something that all singers can accomplish. I, (we) would see her again in a heartbeat!!
I'm so glad that I went to the show. Amanda is an amazing singer live, and she outdoes all of the recorded versions of her songs. All of her songs were spectacular and if you are a fan of her music, it's definitely worth seeing her live. I do wish she sang Double Agent because that is my favorite song, but I was happy to hear the ones she did play because she is such a great singer!
So glad I decided to make the drive up from Buffalo to see the show. Amanda Marshall is an incredible singer and she was at her best on Friday night. Excellent show!
In spite of not recording for many years, reportedly due to legal issues with her prior management back in 2002, Amanda has retained, if not improved upon, her amazing voice and stage presence. She sang many of her most popular pieces with energy and power while hitting every note. Her band and backup singers were equally strong behind her. Also, as my husband stated, she can "charm the pants off you" making for an extremely powerful, satisfying and enjoyable concert. We drove over 3 hours from Buffalo, NY to see Amanda, and would gladly do so again. We wondered if she had fallen off the face of the earth, though she's obviously ready to be sitting on top of the world again. Do not miss the opportunity to see her! We can look for wonderful things from this superb singer in the future--you can bet your socks on it. Welcome back Amanda--we've missed you!!!!
Thoroughly enjoyed Amanda Marshall's concert on Friday night. Her energy, wit and still-fantastic singing voice did not disappoint. She sang our favourites - Marry Me, Black Horses to name two - and was backed up by a young but very talented band. Keep recording and singing, Amanda. Two of your fans!!
