About

American sister duo, Aly & AJ Michalka, have carved out a unique space in the entertainment industry with their work in music, television, and film. Starting out as Disney Channel stars, Aly gained fame through the series "Phil of the Future", while AJ made her mark co-starring in "Cow Belles" alongside her sister. Their music career took off with the release of their debut album, "Into the Rush", in 2005, featuring hits like "Rush" and "Chemicals React." Their follow-up album, 2x platinum selling "Insomniatic", included the iconic track "Potential Breakup Song," becoming a defining moment for many fans.

Both sisters continued to build their acting careers, with notable roles in "The Goldbergs" for AJ and "iZombie" for Aly, showcasing their versatility and talent across different mediums. Their acting credits extend across projects as diverse as "Easy A", "Super 8", "Hellcats", "Secretariat", "Schooled" & "The Good Doctor".

After a brief hiatus from music, Aly & AJ started their own record label and returned with a matured sound on their 2017 EP "Ten Years" and continued the evolution by releasing the critically acclaimed album "a touch of the beat gets you up on your feet gets you out and then into the sun" in 2021, which VOGUE called "the album of the summer." They made their festival debut at Lollapalooza in 2021, followed by a North American tour that had sold out shows in Los Angeles, New York, Chicago and Boston, among others. 2020 saw the resurgence of "Potential Breakup Song," with the song catching fire and becoming one of the top used songs for the year on TIK TOK. The trend resulted in over 2 billion video views and saw participation from fans across the world ranging from world renowned chef - Gordon Ramsey to Major League Baseball's Baltimore Orioles. In March 2023, they released their highly anticipated follow up "With Love From". The duo supported the album with a global tour that concluded with a sold-out show at The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles.

Beyond their professional endeavors, Aly & AJ are known for their advocacy work. They have been vocal supporters of LGBTQ+ rights and mental health awareness, using their platform to promote positive change while raising over $200,000.00 for The Trevor Project. Aly & AJ have also been fierce advocates of gun control and gun safety, particularly in the aftermath of surviving a mass shooting on tour, choosing to partner with Everytown, March Fourth, and Northwell Health, including a recent meeting with the White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention during a visit to Capitol Hill in support of the reinstatement of the assault weapons ban.

In summary, Aly & AJ Michalka have carved out a remarkable career that spans across television, film, music, and business. Their journey from Disney Channel stars to accomplished musicians and actors is a testament to their talent, hard work, and enduring appeal. Their entrepreneurial mindset has helped them successfully release three albums independently, while also building an E-commerce business. With each new project, they continue to inspire and captivate audiences worldwide, solidifying their legacy as influential figures in the entertainment industry.

  • Life Changing Experience

    by Reese on 5/27/22Rialto Theatre-Tucson - TucsonRating: 5 out of 5

Aly & AJ are one of those groups I feel everyone should see. From the moment they hit the stage to the very last show, the energy they give the audience is nothing other than magical. You feel as though you are the only one in the room, the main character of a movie, you feel seen and heard. Not only do they provide such an extraordinary show but they are real, talking about real world issues, mental health, as well as all the ups and downs in life. Aly & AJ are truly a gem to see.

  • So fun!

Aly and Aj put on such a great show!! Full of energy, beautiful voices! Such a great concert! They’re opening band, the Brummies, were excellent as well!

  • Came for Aly & AJ, preferred the opening acts

by Pancakes on 5/25/22House of Blues Houston - HoustonRating: 3 out of 5

The concert was off to a slow start; unsure if it was due to technical issues. Aly & AJ were okay, seemed a bit forced & mechanical. Their opening acts Sneaky Peaches & the Fuzz & The Brummies were more energetic & engaging w/the crowd. My favorite part of the show was The Brummies' performance. I even got to meet them afterwards & they were down to earth.

  • Amazing

Best gig I've ever been to. I've seen Joan Jett, The Who and many more epic concerts but this was by far my fav. Aly and AJ were so entertaining and definitely interacted with the crowd. It was personal and so much fun. They were so good live it was unreal!!

  • Just like 2007

A wonderful mix of new & throwback classics. Such fun & new versions on the songs we know and love. I had a blast!!

The venue was great as always; plenty of staff and no lines. Aly & AJ were phenomenal performers and the sound was great. No complaints.

  • Love Aly and AJ

The band and vip package was amazing!!! The thing that was negative was the venues policies. I couldn’t use my microphone that attaches to my iPhone for better sound. It’s not professional equipment and should be considered as such. The venue had me walk to my car to drop it off. Yet some people were allowed to take all kinds of point and shoots that even had flash. Crazy. If a recording device attached through thunderbolt then it shouldn’t be considered professional. I’ll will attend future concerts at venues that are not House of Blues. The ones in Austin and San Antonio allow it

  • First time seeing them, it was great!

by First time on 5/23/22House of Blues Orlando - OrlandoRating: 5 out of 5

The last song was the best, potential break up song, everybody was singing along and Them two had so much energy during the whole concert, it was great

  • Sadly disappointing.

by Victoria :) on 5/22/22House of Blues Orlando - OrlandoRating: 3 out of 5

We met aly and 𝐚𝐣 in the vip experience. They told us to be there by 4:15 but they didn’t let us in till about 5pm. It was so hot outside my sister and I almost passed out. Meeting them was nice and seeing the pre show was cool. Then when the show came the general admissions entry was suppose to start at 6:30. I got an Uber for my mom since there’s no reentry and they made them wait outside till about 6:55. It was pouring rain and my mother was soaked. The concert said they were starting at 7:30 so they did but it was the Brummies, which wasn’t bad! I liked them alottttt but by the time aly and 𝐚𝐣 came out (around 9pm), the place was so packed, (1,600+ people I was told) that my mother felt clusterphobic so we left after 3 songs. The house of blues was amazing though. Just sucked and I wish I got more out of the concert…

  • Incredible Live

by AJ on 5/22/22House of Blues Orlando - OrlandoRating: 5 out of 5

Every song sounded so good live. It made me wish they could play every song in their arsenal just to hear how it translates. Or maybe the HOB just had phenomenal sound. But super gifted instrumentalists, vocalists, and insanely talented songwriters. I’d see them again if I could.

  • VIP front row

Aly and Aj put on an amazing show! They sung 20 songs. They were super nice and very interactive while playing their songs. I love the energy!

  • Nostalgic, but New

by LB on 5/21/22House of Blues Orlando - OrlandoRating: 5 out of 5

What an incredible experience! Aly&AJ more than delivered!! They gave us the nostalgia we wanted, but really showcased their new material and how their sound had evolved. I’m still thinking about how incredible it was!

  • Solid Show

  • Amazing show

Amazing time. I had a great time with one of my favorite childhood artists.

  • So far above expectations!

by KevinS on 5/19/22The Masquerade - Heaven - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Aly & AJ gave a spectacular performance, playing multiple instruments, vocal pipes were spot on, high energy, great music. I was looking forward to the event, but they far exceeded my expectations! I won’t miss them again next time they come to town.

  • Amazing!

by Tamera on 5/19/22The Masquerade - Heaven - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Aly and AJ were so good! They did their set with a few old classics so there was something to draw in the old fans as well! They have such good music. The album has a very consistent sound and feel with highs and lows so it was just a perfect experience.

  • Great show but started late

    by ReneA P. on 5/19/22The Masquerade - Heaven - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

Seeing Aly and AJ is always a blast! However, the show started later than I expected. I was a part of the VIP group so I was there since 4:45 but the show didn’t start until after 8 (and the opening act came on stage first). I wish the show started a lot sooner than that. Also for the VIP experience, there wasn’t much to do nor did I feel it was worthwhile. Meeting the group was rather brief. Plus I wish we were notified way in advance (like months or even weeks in advance) as to when we should show up as VIP. Overall I plan to see Aly and AJ again, but I wish there was a better start time or more vip perks. Too much downtime of standing around, and waiting.

  • Amazing, 10/10

    by J. T. on 5/19/22The Masquerade - Heaven - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Hearing Aly & Aj live was such an amazing experience!! They're somehow even better live and that crowd was HYPED!!! (as they should). Awestruck by their performance!
