Aly & AJ in Concert
Aly & AJ celebrate their pop past and future at their high-energy concerts, which showcase singles like "Potential Breakup Song" and "Church" while also showing off the duo's wide-ranging influences, which include pop heroes like Cher and rock legends like The Cure. In 2019, Aly & AJ will tour behind their brand-new EP Sanctuary, which was introduced to the public by the plush single "Church."Â
Aly & AJ Background
Alyson and Amanda Michalka began their pop career early, getting signed as a duo by the Disney subsidiary Hollywood Records while still in their teens. Aly & AJ's debut full-length, Into the Rush, came out in 2005 and included the swaying acousti-pop track "No One" as well as an upbeat cover of The Lovin' Spoonful's 1960s hit "Do You Believe In Magic."Â
It was reissued the next year with bonus tracks that included "Chemicals React," a shimmery pop-rock track that was translated into Simlish, the official language of The Sims universe. After releasing a holiday-themed album later in 2006, the sisters debuted a more grown-up sound on their third album, 2007's Insomniatic, which included the peppy Top 20 hit "Potential Breakup Song" and the slinky "Like Whoa."Â
In 2009, the Michalkas announced they would be embracing their rockier side and changing their name to 78violet, and under that name they released a smattering of singles including the dreamy "Hothouse," which was accompanied by a short film the duo directed. The sisters went back to using the Aly & AJ name in 2015, and in 2017 they released Ten Years, embracing a more synth-pop-driven sound.Â
Both sisters have continued acting over the years, with Aly starring in the CW's iZombie and playing a supporting role in 2010's Easy A, AJ starring on ABC's The Goldbergs and appearing in the critically acclaimed 2018 film Support the Girls, and both starring in and co-producing the 2015 film Weepah Way for Now.

Amazing singers! Played every song. I think they legit played for 2 hours. My feet did start hurting in GA and I was wearing sneakers. Overall 5 stars. They played a handful of songs I didn't know that well, so do some more listening before hand. But 5/5 stage presence. 5/5 lighting. Just such a good show.
This concert was everything! I genuinely never enjoyed an experience as much. My inner child was in utter happiness. Aly and AJ are so kind and talented. I would definitely recommend this experience to anyone :)
I've wanted to see them for years and im so glad i finally got to. They sounded great and were such energetic performers. They played so many great songs
This was one of the best concerts Iâve ever been to! The energy of the entire band and the joy they have is unmatched! There was so much love and passion for the music and the entire crowd loved it! I almost lost my voice and my feet were so tired for screaming and dancing the night away. They are amazing!
I've been fans of Aly & AJ since the 90s dye to their fame on Disney channel and my sisters old video game that had their music in it so when I heard they were coming to Raleigh, I was super excited, and I had an amazing time. Lots of good music, lots of good drinks & snacks the theater. It was just an amazing show.
I never give a 5 star review of anything unless it goes way above and beyond. That being said, Aly & AJ are an amazing duo full of energy and so much talent. If you ever get the chance to see them live then please take that chance. They are worth it! This review is from someone who has seen way over 200 live concerts from all different genres and venues. Thanks for reading!

This was my first time getting to see Aly & AJ and it was an awesome show. I've loved them since their Disney Channel days, very nostalgic hearing the older songs, but also enjoyed their newer music.
Aly and AJ are my absolute favorite musical group of all time, and itâs not just because of their incredible songs, heartfelt lyrics, or beautiful harmonies, but they know how to put on a show!!!! You can tell how passionate they are about the music they write and it shows when they perform every single song with the energy to match. The best concert Iâve been to.
This concert had EVERYTHING stuff from ATOTB, Insomniatic, With Love From, Ten Years, you name it and they sang it. It was so awesome to see Aly & AJ in concert! They played the entirety of their new album and some of my favorites from previous records. The stage was beautiful too with their lighting rig almost giving the illusion of stained glass. Wth great on stage charisma and character the concert is a no brainer you gotta go if you're considering it.
They really know how to relate to their fans. Both Aly and AJ and their entire band are all excellent musicians. There was some very cool stage lighting too. I was really impressed with this show. This was one of the most enjoyable and entertaining concerts that I've attended so far this year.
Truly a fantastic show. The meet and greet portion was everything I dreamed of. They were so kind and made me feel like a friend. The show was fantastic, they knew how to make it epic and "tear the night up" I loved it! I'll be coming back next tour for sure! The venue was great! Everyone was kind and helpful!
Unfortunately, I wasnât able to attend due to an illness I
Aly & AJ always put on a spectacular show. Very glad I've been able to see them live more than once. You can tell they love the music they play.
I was surprised how big the crowd was! The show was good, not what I expected but thatâs my own fault. I really enjoyed the opener. We stayed for a little while but, honestly, it was way too hot inside the venue. We ended up leaving early.
I'm a pretty new Aly and AJ fan, but they've quickly taken over my Spotify. They played an insane amount of music, and somehow delivered each song with an incredible amount of energy. They had such an amazing stage presence and seamless transitions between songs. It was truly one of the best concerts I've ever experienced.
