About

American sister duo, Aly & AJ Michalka, have carved out a unique space in the entertainment industry with their work in music, television, and film. Starting out as Disney Channel stars, Aly gained fame through the series "Phil of the Future", while AJ made her mark co-starring in "Cow Belles" alongside her sister. Their music career took off with the release of their debut album, "Into the Rush", in 2005, featuring hits like "Rush" and "Chemicals React." Their follow-up album, 2x platinum selling "Insomniatic", included the iconic track "Potential Breakup Song," becoming a defining moment for many fans.

Both sisters continued to build their acting careers, with notable roles in "The Goldbergs" for AJ and "iZombie" for Aly, showcasing their versatility and talent across different mediums. Their acting credits extend across projects as diverse as "Easy A", "Super 8", "Hellcats", "Secretariat", "Schooled" & "The Good Doctor".

After a brief hiatus from music, Aly & AJ started their own record label and returned with a matured sound on their 2017 EP "Ten Years" and continued the evolution by releasing the critically acclaimed album "a touch of the beat gets you up on your feet gets you out and then into the sun" in 2021, which VOGUE called "the album of the summer." They made their festival debut at Lollapalooza in 2021, followed by a North American tour that had sold out shows in Los Angeles, New York, Chicago and Boston, among others. 2020 saw the resurgence of "Potential Breakup Song," with the song catching fire and becoming one of the top used songs for the year on TIK TOK. The trend resulted in over 2 billion video views and saw participation from fans across the world ranging from world renowned chef - Gordon Ramsey to Major League Baseball's Baltimore Orioles. In March 2023, they released their highly anticipated follow up "With Love From". The duo supported the album with a global tour that concluded with a sold-out show at The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles.

Beyond their professional endeavors, Aly & AJ are known for their advocacy work. They have been vocal supporters of LGBTQ+ rights and mental health awareness, using their platform to promote positive change while raising over $200,000.00 for The Trevor Project. Aly & AJ have also been fierce advocates of gun control and gun safety, particularly in the aftermath of surviving a mass shooting on tour, choosing to partner with Everytown, March Fourth, and Northwell Health, including a recent meeting with the White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention during a visit to Capitol Hill in support of the reinstatement of the assault weapons ban.

In summary, Aly & AJ Michalka have carved out a remarkable career that spans across television, film, music, and business. Their journey from Disney Channel stars to accomplished musicians and actors is a testament to their talent, hard work, and enduring appeal. Their entrepreneurial mindset has helped them successfully release three albums independently, while also building an E-commerce business. • My queens slayed it!

by Dougie Fresh on 9/11/23Greek Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

The shuttle to the Greek Theater was really nice and comfortable. The Theater was a great venue, but the seating is strange and there wasn't anyone to help find your seat. Aly and AJ were awesome as usual and Vanessa Carlton was good as the opener.

  • Millennial Throwback

by Maya on 9/11/23Greek Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 4 out of 5

I love Aly & AJ I have been wanting to see them live since I was a teen. After years, I was finally able to see them, however, they mostly sang songs from their latest album (reason why I am only giving them 4 stars. Most of the people that attended were millennials too and only got up to sing them. Also, “Rush” didn’t give like the original version

  • Aly & AJ w Vanessa Carleton

by MM on 9/11/23Greek Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

Arrived pretty early and managed to get pretty good parking which was a breeze to get through. The Greek Theater is one of my favorite venues so it was always a good time. Shoutout to the energetic bartender over at the MODELO Cantina, she was so kind! The overall concert was a blast and nostalgic with a few of their songs from Aly & AJ’s Disney days. Overall a great experience! My only complaint would be leaving the concert, but gotta love that LA traffic.

  • Amazing!

Such a great and well made show. Aly & AJ are such wonderful and great singers and people.

  • We loved every minute of Aly & AJ’s concert!

by Diana Osborne on 9/11/23Greek Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

Aly and AJ both gave extraordinary performances throughout the entire concert! The band supported them perfectly as they sang and played their guitars and keyboard, and the light show was beyond amazing! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

  • A bit heavy handed with smoke machine

    by J. M. on 9/11/23Rating: 4 out of 5

Saw them at the Greek Theatre and they had Vanessa Carlton open for them. Vanessa was great and of course sang her iconic Thousand Miles song. Aly and Aj did sing great but throughout the night their smoke machine made it hard to see them at times. Their set was great as they sang both new and old songs of theirs.

  • Best concert ever

by Aly and Aj on 9/11/23Greek Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

These ladies preformed so amazing and It’s a night I’ll never forget

  • REALLY ENJOYABLE

by MVPenny on 9/11/23Greek Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 4 out of 5

Laid back, relaxed concert. Great vocals. Really liked the back-up musicians, especially the drummer, and wished the camera zoomed in on them so we could see their faces and their craft on the screens. In fact, if there was a weakness, the camera work was DEFINITELY it. It seemed that the cameras were always playing catch up to what was happening on stage — and it made the video projection seem incredibly amateurish. Just my 2 cents.

  • A fun and musical throwback night

by Jess on 9/11/23Greek Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

We had an amazing experience at this concert! The artists put on wonderful performances and the venue was lovely.

If I could see an Aly & AJ concert every weekend, I would. If you’re thinking about seeing them, buy the tickets!!! Amazing show. Great music!

  • Amazing

by Jenny on 9/11/23Greek Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

Loved seeing Aly & AJ at the Greek Theatre. Been following them since their Disney days and it's so cool to see them evolve both personally and musically. Love that they're independent now and own every aspect of their music.

  • Worth waiting for

by Scott on 9/10/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Every time Aly & AJ comes to Seattle I end being out of town. This time we were both in San Diego at the same time! Great music, playing all of the new album plus plenty of the catalogue but in a new way. The venue was next to the marina, outdoors, and a beautiful sunset. The only issue was the size of the seats and distance between rows. If you are claustrophobic make sure to get an aisle seat.

  • What I needed

by Alex on 9/10/23Humphreys Concerts By the Bay - San DiegoRating: 5 out of 5

Aly and aj are amazing and played all of my favorites. I didn’t realize they wouldn’t have an opener and sang the whole time. It was great. But the seats were not size inclusive. I was next to a bigger person and we we’re basically on top of each other. Any seat in the venue had a goods view.

  • Great Time

by N. B. on 6/27/23Manhattan Center Hammerstein Ballroom - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Gav a great show and did a great job of translating all the songs to live performances, some with new twists. I liked the live version of many songs more than the album! Also a lovely crowd and group of fans who came out and provided great vibes for the show

  • Fan of the classics? Sucks for you !

by Meow on 4/25/23Manhattan Center Hammerstein Ballroom - New YorkRating: 2 out of 5

It’s been my entire life’s dream to go watch aly & aj in concert. I even kept up with their new music. But they only played one of their hits, and one of their old stuff.

  • BEST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE

by G on 4/25/23Manhattan Center Hammerstein Ballroom - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Any show that these two put on is absolutely spectacular, seeing them is worth every penny💕

  • Amazing!!!

by Nicole on 4/25/23Manhattan Center Hammerstein Ballroom - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Amazing singers! Played every song. I think they legit played for 2 hours. My feet did start hurting in GA and I was wearing sneakers. Overall 5 stars. They played a handful of songs I didn't know that well, so do some more listening before hand. But 5/5 stage presence. 5/5 lighting. Just such a good show.

  • Wow! A night to remember

This concert was everything! I genuinely never enjoyed an experience as much. My inner child was in utter happiness. Aly and AJ are so kind and talented. I would definitely recommend this experience to anyone :)

by Luna on 4/24/23MGM Music Hall at Fenway - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

This was one of the best concerts I’ve ever been to! The energy of the entire band and the joy they have is unmatched! There was so much love and passion for the music and the entire crowd loved it! I almost lost my voice and my feet were so tired for screaming and dancing the night away. They are amazing!
