About

Television personality, author, Food Network and Netflix star Alton Brown will be heading out on his Alton Brown Live: Beyond The Eats - The Holiday Variant tour this holiday season.  He is the host of Top 10 new Netflix Iron Chef reboot "Iron Chef: Quest for an Iron Legend."  Brown says fans can expect "more cooking, more comedy, more music, and more potentially dangerous science stuff with a sprinkle of seasonal spices. Plus, you'll see things I've never been allowed to do on TV." Critics and fans have raved about the interactive components of Brown's shows. He warns, "Prepare for an evening unlike any other and if I call for volunteers...think twice."

I love Alton Brown even more now!

by SLB828 on 4/19/16Modell Performing Arts Center at the Lyric - Baltimore

I wasn't exactly sure what to think going into this event, but it was amazing. Alton is a funny guy, and I adored him from seeing him on tv, but after seeing this show I love him even more! I especially enjoyed his twitter-shaming of the latecomers!

    Fantastic, Fun Show

by DLeeMac on 4/19/16Modell Performing Arts Center at the Lyric - Baltimore

Took my family, including 13yo, 11yo, and 8yo girls, and while there were some more risqué comments there was nothing I was overly concerned with and everyone laughed through the whole show. Show ran about 3.5 hours with an intermission but went by quickly. Would totally do it again!

Not the show I was looking for

by Huskywalker on 4/18/16DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - Durham

I was looking for something along the lines of the "Good Eats" show. This seemed to be more entertainment.

Fantastic, not just another chef ! Alton Brown.

by 1234ross on 4/18/16DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - Durham

Alton Brown, he takes equal parts of chef, musician, and stand up comic, and mixes it thourly with science. Tastefully done. He invited a few people from the audience, always a risky move, and got the most out of them. His improv / comedic talent really comes through. He even sings a couple of songs while playing guitar. Oh yeah, some fantastic props you have to see. You get all that, plus you actually learn a little science.... Can't wait until he comes back.

Skip it-not worth the money. Very disappointed

by DurhamNative on 4/18/16DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - Durham

Performance had very little to do with either food or science, a lot more to do with making fun of audience members and general entertainment. Focus on alcohol during 1st half of performance, and entirely too much sexual innuendo in 2nd half of performance. This got an enthusiastic response from a certain segment of the audience, but it was neither appealing nor appropriate for audience members under the age of 14 (I had kids in the 10-14 age range with me). In sum, save your money and spend it elsewhere.

    Alton Brown does not dissapoint

by etrout1973 on 4/18/16DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - Durham

I don't want to give away too much of this performance as it is a surprise. Great show. Very entertaining with live experiments and audience participation. While it says this is a family oriented show, there were a lot of adult innuendo's. As always Alton put on a great show. Who doesn't like food experiments?

Eat Your Science Tour - Fun and informative

by metroairman on 4/18/16DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - Durham

It was a family date night with my wife and 2 kids. We are all big Food Network fans so getting to see Alton Brown live was a big deal. I love how he makes science interesting while making it so relatable by including food into it. My girls left inspired to cook when we got home. Fun show for the entire family!

Alton Brown is worth seeing if you're a fan

by MrThT on 4/18/16DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - Durham

A good, not great, show. Saw second of two sold out performances in Durham. Opening bit about "if I were a food God" was best. Long pieces about nitrogen and popcorn are good, but mostly for Brown fans. Good interplay with the audience. Very professional, funny, and informative.

It was a really good show.

by Unclejimmy1 on 4/18/16DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - Durham

We loved it. My wife, who has not followed Altons career like I have, loved it. This is a show for adults and kids. My only complaint is that it wasn't long enough. It went by so fast, or maybe that's just how it felt.

    Charlie

by charliepurdue on 4/16/16Von Braun Center Concert Hall - Huntsville

This guy is a true entertainer, whether dealing with food, playing his guitar or pulling tricks on volunteers from the audience.

    ENTERTAINING!!!

by PENSACOLALOVER on 4/15/16Pensacola Saenger Theatre - Pensacola

Alton Brown is so cool. He is funny, he is witty, entertaining and really teaches you things about food. I love watching him on Good Eats and Cutthroat Kitchen, but this show was worth every penny that we spent. Had a FANTASTIC time with my wife on a "Date Night". What an amazing personality. Thank you Alton for a night in Pensacola that I will never forget. Brian Saffell
