About

Back in 2004, four lifelong musicians got together down in Florida. Even though they had traveled separate paths, similar lessons learned, wisdom earned, and dues paid united these gentlemen--Myles Kennedy [vocals, guitar], Mark Tremonti [guitar, vocals], Brian Marshall [bass], and Scott Phillips [drums]--as Alter Bridge. Over the ensuing two decades, the band endured countless trials and tribulations, defied every odd, and rose to the head of the pack as a hard rock juggernaut, cementing a singular legacy by selling out arenas, gathering nearly 1 billion streams, inciting international acclaim, and quietly attracting a diehard audience. Beginning with the Top 5 entry of 2004's gold-certified One Day Remains, the band have scored six consecutive Top 20 debuts on the Billboard 200. Among a myriad of highlights, Guitarist Magazine applauded "Blackbird" for the "Greatest Guitar Solo of All Time," the ABIII single "Isolation" vaulted to #1 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Chart, 2013's Fortress received rare perfect scores from KERRANG! and Total Guitar, and Walk The Sky shook the Top Rock Albums Chart at #1. Beyond packing O2 Arena and Royal Albert Hall, Classic Rock hailed 2022's Pawns & Kings as "the Rolls-Royce of Alter Bridge records" in a 4.5-out-of-5 star review. Plus, the latter LP garnered praise from American Songwriter, Guitar World, and Loudwire, while Billboard christened them "one of America's premiere hard rock quartets." Channeling the same hunger, the band continue to push themselves on their self-titled eighth full-length offering, Alter Bridge [Napalm Records]. It embodies everything they're known for such as the precise riffs, towering hooks, and solos that practically break guitar strings as they burst through the clouds.

  • Rock On

by grunner on 12/21/10Starland Ballroom - SayrevilleRating: 4 out of 5

Alter Bridge is one of those few bands that create and play ROCK music and are extremely good at it. Musicianship is excellent among the band players. I have to say i was really impressed with Myles Kennedy's guitar playing,. . there are parts in songs that I thought were played by Mark Tremonti and not the case!! Wow! On that note, Tremonti is awesome!! Can't say enough about his guitar acrobatics. Starland Ballroom is a surprisingly good place to see bands play, really was impressed. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because the sound system was just a bit too loud and bassy,. but not so much that you could not hear the stellar musicianship. Taddy Porter was really good!! Pleasant surprise. Like A Storm was annoying.

Alter Bridge rocked the house as expected but the real surprise to me was that the two opening bands were damn good in their own right as well. Overall an incredible show and experience.

  • Bring Back Alter Bridge

by CroonerBoy on 12/21/10Starland Ballroom - SayrevilleRating: 4 out of 5

I had high expectations going in to this show, and of course AB did not disappoint. Being a lead singer for two rock bands in NJ, I am a huge Myles Kennedy and AB fan. The voice is incredible, but the playing was also above par. Songwriting is amazing, and the vibe is just one of harmony amongst fellow AB fanatics. Met some great people at the show. Took my almost 14 year old daughter – an aspiring vocalist – to the show, and she loved it! Great night all the way around. We enjoyed the warm up bands also, especially Taddy Porter. They were awesome! Everyone around us was buzzing about them. The experience at Starland was great.... even the coat check guy gave my daughter "thumbs up" on her first rock show! My only negative comment would be that the bottom end was a little too "boomy" throughout the night (all three bands). It created a little too much distortion that took away from the subtle nuances of the performances at times. Thanks for a great time!

  • Alter Bridge was AMAZING!!!!!

by pLosmalls on 12/19/10Rams Head Live! - BaltimoreRating: 5 out of 5

The talent and musicality of this band shines through in their live performance, Comparing their live performance against their cd, their is not a ton of production to make the vocals or any other instrument sound better. What you hear on the CD is what you get in the live performance. Alter Bridge needs to visit the Washington D.C. Area, there are tons of fans out here.

  • Alter Bridge put on a great show!

Alter Bridge rocked Baltimore at Rams Head Live! Incredible show by great talent. Myles Kennedy sings live as well as the cd's. Mark Tremonti is my favorite and he didn't disappoint and he was awesome! Practice makes him the best in the world!

  • Love these guys

by RMABIII on 12/19/10Rams Head Live! - BaltimoreRating: 5 out of 5

First of all I have to say that I love this venue. Small and personal feeling but at the same time plenty of space to have it feel like a great rock concert. Alter Bridge is one of my favorite bands and they certainly didn't dissapoint. They even surprised the fans with a guest appearance by Paul Reed Smith. Incredible!

Great concert! Acoustics were good, plenty of room, no bad angles, easy to get close to the stage...One bad thing is the first opening act was TERRIBLE.

  • Tatty Porter stole the show!

    by 91stanger on 12/17/10Clutch Cargo's - PontiacRating: 3 out of 5

The reason is because apparently the sound guy didnt know what he was doing Because the bass guitar was so overpowerring you couldn't understand Anything Myles Kennedy said, made for a long night of guessing what song They were playing. Alter Bridge's sound is too big for Clutch Cargo. Ty 91stanger

  • BEST BAND IN THE WORLD

    by DRWILLKELLY on 12/17/10Clutch Cargo's - PontiacRating: 5 out of 5

THIS WAS THE BEST SHOW I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE. ALTER BRIDGE PUT 100% ENERGY INTO EVERY SONG. I SAW THEM THE LAST TIME THEY WERE AT CLUTCH CARGO'S AND I THOUGHT THEY WERE AMAZING. I HAD NO IDEA THEY COULD KICK MY BUTT THAT MUCH AGAIN. THIS MUSIC WILL STILL BE POPULAR 1000 YEARS FROM NOW. THIS IS THE BEST BAND EVER, I CAN'T SAY IT ENOUGH.

  • Alter Bridge - Best Show Yet!

    by MelNWF on 12/17/10Clutch Cargo's - PontiacRating: 5 out of 5

I've seen these guys 3 times before, and I swear they get better each time. They are the best hard rock act out there right now. I've been in rock bands for 30 years now and been listening to music avidly my whole life - these guys know how to do it! The writing is fantastic and not your average run of the mill lyrics at all. Most of all, the singer, Myles Kennedy totally blows me away with his amazing voice and excellent stage prescence.

  • Alter Bridge tears it up

    by rockdawg63 on 12/16/10Clutch Cargo's - PontiacRating: 5 out of 5

Alter Bridge was amazing. From the opening song through the encores they rocked. While it was a relatively small venue with maybe 1000 people, the crowd was full of energy and Alter Bridge delivered. Their song writing and performance was top notch and I believe they are a much more solid band playing as Alter Bridge than with Scott Stapp in Creed. Not to bash Creed as I like them too, but I prefer the harder sound that Alter Bridge plays and it truly gives Mark Tremonti a chance to show off his chops on the guitar. These guys are truly the most talented band out there today. All of the band members are masters of their instruments and I was surprised at Myles guitar playing during the dueling solos during the encore. He is truly an amazing musician and singer. Scott Phillips was beating the hell out of his drums. As usual, Mark Tremonti tore it up on his guitar solos on just about every song. These guys deserve way more recognition. It is too bad the radio stations are dominated by rap crap and garbage like Justin Bieber.

This wa my first time seeing Alter Bridge, my husband is a HUGE fan.....I have to say I was not really in the mood for a concert that night but I was very much satisfied with the outcome. The concert was EXCELLENT and i'd definately go see them again!!!!! I liked the atmosphere of the small venue as well.

    by AB4Ever on 12/16/10Clutch Cargo's - PontiacRating: 5 out of 5

These guys are so amazingly talented. Mark is a killer guitarist, Myles is awesome on guitar and his vocals are unheard of, Scott is always solid as can be and Brian is a very solid base player. Can't wait to see them finally grow and play a bigger venue
