About

Back in 2004, four lifelong musicians got together down in Florida. Even though they had traveled separate paths, similar lessons learned, wisdom earned, and dues paid united these gentlemen--Myles Kennedy [vocals, guitar], Mark Tremonti [guitar, vocals], Brian Marshall [bass], and Scott Phillips [drums]--as Alter Bridge. Over the ensuing two decades, the band endured countless trials and tribulations, defied every odd, and rose to the head of the pack as a hard rock juggernaut, cementing a singular legacy by selling out arenas, gathering nearly 1 billion streams, inciting international acclaim, and quietly attracting a diehard audience. Beginning with the Top 5 entry of 2004's gold-certified One Day Remains, the band have scored six consecutive Top 20 debuts on the Billboard 200. Among a myriad of highlights, Guitarist Magazine applauded "Blackbird" for the "Greatest Guitar Solo of All Time," the ABIII single "Isolation" vaulted to #1 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Chart, 2013's Fortress received rare perfect scores from KERRANG! and Total Guitar, and Walk The Sky shook the Top Rock Albums Chart at #1. Beyond packing O2 Arena and Royal Albert Hall, Classic Rock hailed 2022's Pawns & Kings as "the Rolls-Royce of Alter Bridge records" in a 4.5-out-of-5 star review. Plus, the latter LP garnered praise from American Songwriter, Guitar World, and Loudwire, while Billboard christened them "one of America's premiere hard rock quartets." Channeling the same hunger, the band continue to push themselves on their self-titled eighth full-length offering, Alter Bridge [Napalm Records]. It embodies everything they're known for such as the precise riffs, towering hooks, and solos that practically break guitar strings as they burst through the clouds.

  • 3 Years Was Worth The Wait!!!

by GreedoShot2nd on 1/3/11Showbox at the Market - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

I have been a Alter Bridge fan since the very start. Also a Creed fan. As great as Scott Stapp is with Mark, Brian, and Scott the band is on a whole different level when Myles is involved. This is the second time I saw the band, the second time I got to hang out with the band after the show, and the second time I drove up from Portland Oregon to see the band. Every time I see them the band just keeps getting better. I have been a lover of Rock n Roll now for over 25 years and love a lot of different bands over that time but without a shadow of doubt ALTER BRIDGE IS MY FAVORITE BAND!!! They guys give a 110% in the studio and 150% on stage. I truly hope that they are able to come through Portland one day and would be even better if it was later this year. I did not know who the two opening acts were, the first band was alright, and the second band was pretty awesome. But to be honest I would love to see ALTER BRIDGE play for like three hours. Would be so awesome if they did like a 30-40 minutes acoustic show in the middle of their set list. Since they have at least two songs per album that is or almost is in an acoustic setting. Regardless though in that it takes 6 or 7 hours in travel time getting to and from Portland and Seattle, much less how much gas costs. I will always find a way to see them again. It is worth every second and worth every penny to see a band that goes above and beyond every night they are on and off stage, is so down to earth, and appreciates us and much as we appreciate them. This is the first time that I have ever reviewed something much less someone so hope this was helpful. If you already know ALTER BRIDGE then you more then likely feel the same way I do and if you do not know who they are then you need to give them a shot because they will never disappoint. Ever. Period.

  • Great venue and great show!

by getfuzzygurl on 1/3/11Showbox at the Market - SeattleRating: 4 out of 5

Myles Kennedy and Alter Bridge are hugely talented and always put on a good show! The venue was just right for the show and the Showbox Market staff did a great job of keeping things safe and fun for the all-ages show. The first band, Like a Storm, was a really fresh, eclectic mix of hard rock with some digideroo and Aussie accent thrown in, which we really loved. The second band, Taddy Porter, wasn't as impressive and their sound seemed a little out of place for an Alter Bridge opening act. Overall, a great concert!

  • Good Ole' Rock and Roll Night

by fman68 on 1/3/11Showbox at the Market - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

Great concert and awesome venue, so close to the performers it is deafening. The Showbox is the most personal of all venues, unless they play in your own basement.

  • Alter Bridge did not disappoint

by Anonymous on 1/3/11Showbox at the Market - SeattleRating: 4 out of 5

Alter Bridge was rocking on New Years Day in downtown Seattle. I would have preferred to know two opening acts were scheduled to play. Standing 5 hours in the pit was a drag. 1 opening act is expected. Alter Bridge set list was great - 2 hours of solid entertainment!

  • Alter Bridge is a class act!

by MrsViro on 1/3/11Showbox at the Market - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

Alter Bridge and their openers Taddy Porter and Like a Storm were fantastic. Met with all of them after the show, all of them are polite and completely fantastic! I would recommend any of these three bands to anyone!

  • Best Show Ever!!!

    by Porkchop2 on 1/1/11Starland Ballroom - SayrevilleRating: 5 out of 5

Alter Bridge rocked the house. They played all the song songs that I wanted to hear. Almost played their entire catalog. Great guitar battle right before the encore!!

  • Alter Bridge was sweet!

    by chacharoni on 12/24/10Clutch Cargo's - PontiacRating: 5 out of 5

Alter Bridge and Taddy Porter put on one hell of a show! The opening band (Like a Storm) wasn't very good in my opinion, but everything else rocked! Clutch cargos was packed, and everyone was rocking out. My friend and I got to meet Taddy Porter, and that was awesome. Clutch is one of the coolest concert venues I have been to, and I will go back.

  • Alter Bridge Rocks!

by MariMeri on 12/23/10Starland Ballroom - SayrevilleRating: 5 out of 5

Alter Bridge put on a great show. The guys were awesome. Starland ballroom is a very intimate place to see your favorite band perform.

  • ALTER BRIDGE WAS UNFORGETTABLE!!!

    by AJ12321 on 12/22/10Starland Ballroom - SayrevilleRating: 5 out of 5

When I went in, Like a Storm was playing. I've been to many shows at Starland, but this was the quietest I've ever seen it. They tried to get the crowd into it but no one reacted. However, Taddy Porter was pretty good and you could feel a good vibe from the crowd. But when Alter Bridge came on, it was like a whole new show. That was the loudest I've ever heard the place, they rocked the show. Definitely one of the best concerts I've seen there.

  • ALTER BRIDGE JUST ROCKED!

by lnjsinger on 12/22/10Starland Ballroom - SayrevilleRating: 5 out of 5

This was my first time seeing Alter Bridge live, and i had heard a few songs here and there and liked them, but after seeing them live, I went right out and bought the new cd "III" and I was not disappointed at all....what a great record...anyway, the place was packed and the band was tight and Myles Kennedy sounded PHENOMENAL!!! you can tell that he takes his craft seriously, because his tone and his power and range are just sick.....he didn't have to cop out on high notes like a lot of bands I have seen recently, because it just seemed like it came easy to him....Mark Tremonti crushes with heavy and complex riffs and his solos were shredding! everybody else sounded great too...

  • It was Awesome

by redheadwmn on 12/21/10Starland Ballroom - SayrevilleRating: 5 out of 5

I thought the show was amazing. They played a great mix from all three CD's. I have seen AB about a dozen times and this was the best show yet!

  • Lovin' Alter Bridge!

by terrybear on 12/21/10Starland Ballroom - SayrevilleRating: 4 out of 5

This was my first time seeing Alter Bridge and I absolutely loved them. Myles Kennedy is awesome--great voice! What can I say about the band? If you love Creed, (which I do), you'll love this band. It's Creed with a different flavor--a Myles Kennedy flavor! I must say though, that Starland Ballroom is a horrible, smelly place. The odor was horrendous, and every single time I have gone there, I have gotten lost. The directions on their website are incorrect. I missed some of the band because of this. I've had it with this place--not going back.

  • Alterbridge always delivers!!!

by ABrockmom on 12/21/10Starland Ballroom - SayrevilleRating: 5 out of 5

We have been going to Alterbridge shows since they began.I can say without any hesitation that this show was completely off the chain. The guys were so on in every way imaginable. What talent!!!

  • Best band ever

by pefmiester on 12/21/10Starland Ballroom - SayrevilleRating: 5 out of 5

everytime alter bridge comes arouond i make it a point to go see them. this time around they played 2 shows in the area, i went to both. While the set list was the same for both shows, the venue makes the difference. Starland ballroom is a great venue but the sound i think is too loud for the size of the place and tends to distort the music. Other than that both shows were amazing.

  • Alter Bridge Kicked Butt as usual

by Middlevillain on 12/21/10Starland Ballroom - SayrevilleRating: 5 out of 5

Alter Bridge is the most under rated band out there, they should be playing Madison Square Garden. I recommend this show to anyone who has ears. Mark Tremonti in my opinion is a modern day Eddie VanHalen. Check em out and see for yourself.

  • AMAZING AWESOME UNFORGETTABLE ALTER BRIDGE

    by KatS7 on 12/21/10Starland Ballroom - SayrevilleRating: 5 out of 5

Myles Kennedy is amazing....his voice is unbelievable and him and Mark Tremonti on guitar along with the rest of the band are the most amazing group to see in concert!!! We had reserved seats but I would rather be up front and center! They played to the crowd and everyone sang along...they played old stuff and new....I can't wait to see them again!! And Starland Ballroom is the ultimate venue for a very personal experience....no matter where you are, you are close to the band!

  • Alter Bridge was great!

by Dudos on 12/21/10Starland Ballroom - SayrevilleRating: 5 out of 5

I was blown away by how good Miles Kennedy sounded. He has a hell of a voice. Mark Tremonti is like nothing I have ever seen on guitar.

  • Alter Bridge - One of the best live bands EVER!!!

    by DRocks4U on 12/21/10Starland Ballroom - SayrevilleRating: 5 out of 5

Not too many bands sound better live than on their album. Alter Bridge did just that!! Of course, Tremonti was unbelievable. Myles Kennedy.....this friggin guy ROCKS!! His voice is incredible. How he can sing like that night after night & STILL sound so good. My hats off to him. He is a true artist.
