About

Back in 2004, four lifelong musicians got together down in Florida. Even though they had traveled separate paths, similar lessons learned, wisdom earned, and dues paid united these gentlemen--Myles Kennedy [vocals, guitar], Mark Tremonti [guitar, vocals], Brian Marshall [bass], and Scott Phillips [drums]--as Alter Bridge. Over the ensuing two decades, the band endured countless trials and tribulations, defied every odd, and rose to the head of the pack as a hard rock juggernaut, cementing a singular legacy by selling out arenas, gathering nearly 1 billion streams, inciting international acclaim, and quietly attracting a diehard audience. Beginning with the Top 5 entry of 2004's gold-certified One Day Remains, the band have scored six consecutive Top 20 debuts on the Billboard 200. Among a myriad of highlights, Guitarist Magazine applauded "Blackbird" for the "Greatest Guitar Solo of All Time," the ABIII single "Isolation" vaulted to #1 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Chart, 2013's Fortress received rare perfect scores from KERRANG! and Total Guitar, and Walk The Sky shook the Top Rock Albums Chart at #1. Beyond packing O2 Arena and Royal Albert Hall, Classic Rock hailed 2022's Pawns & Kings as "the Rolls-Royce of Alter Bridge records" in a 4.5-out-of-5 star review. Plus, the latter LP garnered praise from American Songwriter, Guitar World, and Loudwire, while Billboard christened them "one of America's premiere hard rock quartets." Channeling the same hunger, the band continue to push themselves on their self-titled eighth full-length offering, Alter Bridge [Napalm Records]. It embodies everything they're known for such as the precise riffs, towering hooks, and solos that practically break guitar strings as they burst through the clouds.

  • Venue not set up for this show

by Gina on 9/16/23Fillmore Minneapolis presented by Affinity Plus - MinneapolisRating: 2 out of 5

Venue itself is nice, but the music quality was terrible for Sevendust and Alter Bridge. Could not hear words, left mic was louder than main. Usually music ear plugs make it clearer, but they did not help. Soured the experience a little.

  • They played faves from earlier albums.

by MarkC on 9/8/23The Andrew J Brady Music Center - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

Miles and Mark T sounded great vocally. Both of them were great guitarists. The whole band rocked, but they also played mellower faves such as "Burn it Down"and "In Memory Of". The first band and Sevendust were great, as well.

  • Great Bands Great Venue

I always enjoy seeing concerts at Stir Cove. The staff is friendly and helpful and the facilities are well cared for. This was my second time seeing Alterbridge at Stir Cove and the sound was amazing. We were down front in the Party Pit at the start of the show and could hear everything really well. We then moved back to the hillside to watch the end of the show and everything sounded just as good. The jumbo screen was a new addition since the last show I saw at Stir Cove and it was nice to have. The camera guys could use some practice on finding the action though. There were several lengthy guitar solos where they just kept showing the singer. Overall it was a great experience and I look forward to coming back for more shows.

  • ALTER BRIDGE WAS GREAT, THE REST, NOT SO MUCH

    by Ron T on 9/3/23Rating: 4 out of 5

AFTER ATTENDING SHOWS AT OTHER OUTDOOR SITES, THIS ONE IS KIND OF PICED TOGETHER. THE STAGE IS ONLY ABOUT 3 FEET OFF THE GROUND, THUS HARD TO SEE. THE STAGE LIGHTING AND SOUND ARE OLD AND BAD. DID NOT CARE AT ALL FOR OPENING BANDS. ALTER BRIDGE WAS GOOD DESPITE THE BAD SET UP, MANY TIMES WHEN ON THE SIDE OF THE STAGE YOU COULDNT SEE THE BAND MEMBER. OVERALL WAS GOOD, BUT WILL TRY TO AVOID SHOWS AT STIR COVE FROM NOW ON

  • Amazing

Alter Bridge always puts on a great show! I would recommend seeing Alter Bridge to everyone! I love how the guys interact with the crowd. We saw them in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

  • It was way to loud.

by Old guy on 9/3/23Rating: 4 out of 5

Concert was good but the mixer guy needs to turn it down so people can hear what the bands are playing. Sevendust rules!

  • Alter Bridge w/ Sevendust and MJT

by ChuckC on 9/3/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Had been waiting for quite some time for Alter Bridge to return to the area. I had never seen them. They were fantastic! Myles Kennedy is so good. I didn’t realize he played guitar and performed several of the leads. Sevendust was good too although their style is a bit heavy for my taste. MJT was very entertaining and I dug several of their tunes.

  • Music was fine, lighting and video stunk.

by Joe on 9/3/23Rating: 4 out of 5

Alter Bridge is a talented band who performed well. Myles has an incredible voice. Both my wife and I didn’t get the stage lighting setup however. It was so dark almost all the time. Couldn’t see the band members. Then they’d flash this whole row of strobes all the time. Blinding. And there was only one camera for the big screen which seemed as though it was being operated by Stevie from the local high school AV club. Not good. I was surprised that the crowd was pretty sparse. I thought there’d be more people.

  • Solid Rock Band.

I can't believe how great they sound live. Both vocal and melody were fantastic. Worth 250 miles I had to drive to see them.
