ALOK (they/them) is an internationally acclaimed poet, comedian, public speaker, and actor. They currently hold a first look deal in Comedy with Sony Pictures Television. ALOK's literary works "Beyond the Gender Binary," "Femme in Public," and "Your Wound, My Garden," have garnered global recognition. Their dynamic presence has captivated audiences in over 40 countries, with sold-out shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the Netflix is a Joke Festival, and the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. ALOK's first comedy special BIOLOGY! executive produced by Christopher Guest comes out Dec 18. They are the subject of the docu-short "ALOK" executive produced by Jodie Foster and directed by Alex Hedison, which made its debut at the Sundance Film Festival in 2024. On screen, they can also be seen in Complicated Order, The Trans List, and Absolute Dominion (forthcoming). On television, they can be seen on HBO's Sex Lives of College Girls, Sort Of and Random Acts of Flyness, Hulu's Planet Sex with Cara Delevingne, and Netflix's Gender Agenda Comedy Special and Getting Curious with Jonathan Van Ness. For their contributions to culture and entertainment, they have been honored with the ACLU of Southern California Bill of Rights Award, Coalition of Asian Pacifics in Entertainment Trailblazer Award, and were selected as the inaugural LGBTQ Scholar in Residence at the University of Pennsylvania.
I walked in to costumes, a badass dj and dancing. And they was before the show even started. The opening act was beautiful. Alok was an inspiration. The way they flowed in between poetry and comedy was something I’ve never seen and their soul was front and center all evening. A night I won’t soon forget.
Alok is so funny and intelligent. This show brought humor and poetry, with quick wit and amazing stories. Very thought provoking! Super fun night. The opener Marieme was an amazing vocalist!
Alok was phenomenal and was amazing the entire show! The mix of comedy and poetry really had me laugh and cry at the same time. Love them so much and one of the most talented artist ever!
Such a great show. ALOK gave an incredibly moving and entertaining show, allowing us to take a journey through their eyes and feelings. Such a great storyteller and entertainer. Was the perfect balance of comedy and thought provoking conversations. Highly recommend!
I had no idea Alok was going to do stand-up as part of the performance. They killed! So fun and freeing to enjoy their set and the warmup act was great too.
ALOK walked on stage and drew me in until their final word. Their honest, direct story telling with power and humor made me laugh out loud. And they intercut with sincere family moments that took my breadth away. The best part was seeing my non-binary loved one sitting next to me laugh, smile, pull in. I wish everyone would hear what ALOK has to share. Highly recommend!!!!!

Alok gave us an unforgettable evening. I'll remember it for the rest of my life. A must see!
