Ally Venable has been electrifying the blues scene since 2013, when she released her debut EP Wise Man at age 14. Her first full-length album, No Glass Shoes, was released in 2016 and quickly established Venable as a powerhouse songwriter and guitarist. The Kilgore, Texas, native would soon draw comparisons to Stevie Ray Vaughan, the blues legend who inspired her. "What got me into the blues was discovering Stevie Ray Vaughan," she told Guitar World in 2022. "That turned my whole world upside down."
Her third album, 2019's Texas Honey, debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Blues Albums chart. Two years later she released the critically-acclaimed Heart of Fire, and her fifth album, 2023's Real Gone, features blues legend Buddy Guy on the scorching duet "Texas Louisiana."
Born and raised in Texas, Venable sang in church choirs when she was young, and began playing the guitar at 12. She received the Female Guitar Player of the Year honor at the East Texas Academy of Music Awards in 2014 and 2015.
What an absolute treat to see Ally & her band in a small venue. I’ve been wanting to see her live for quite a while but she never played close enough on a date I could make. A must see band.🎶😎👍🏼👍🏼
Ally is absolutely the best!! We’ve traveled out of town to see her. The only bummer is the place in Indiana won’t let you take vids or pics. And her set is only 90 minutes. She rocks it but that’s a pretty short time for any band. Most bands that play in bars play for 3-4 hours with a break or 2.
Caught Ally at the State Room in Salt Lake City. She and her band put on an awesome show. This young blues talent cured my blues for the evening! Can't wait to catch her again
She came out and R O C K ed The House !!!!!!!!! Talent , Band Was AWESOME , Pretty , looked like she was levitating ,in Her closed eye ed Rocking out to her own Music.
No seating, poor mix. Bass player way too loud. Disappointing

I purchased two tickets the week before to see Ally Venable at 191 Toole, then while we were getting ready to head over to see the concert on Wednesday, I looked to see what time the doors opened. I couldn't find the info and then realized we had missed the concert...it was on Tuesday not Wednesday. What a bummer. Waste of money, and so bummed to miss that event.
Great show. 24 year old blues rocker that can shred with the best of them. Hope I get to see her again, and soon.
Ally Venable live is a killer show if you love blues rock guitar. Crazy talented!
Saw this band at peach music festival and was blown away the feel of the music was amazing. I have never seen them prior but my first impression of them was srv with a bit of Texas twist. Definitely a new fan
She is has a great voice to go with the unbelievable guitar playing. I would see her again in a heartbeat
If you haven been to the Ludlow Garage you're missing out on a real treat. Good menu with a nice variety of choices. Decent beer selection. Quite a history at the garage, some amazing acts have performed in the small cozy auditorium. Ally Venable put on a great 90 minute show doing alot of her own work. The entire evening was 5 star.
Great venue with an amazing young artist. The future of the blues is in great hands. Thanks Ally for coming back to town. See you again Sunday at the rose.

Ally lit it up as usual. Sound was good overall. New keyboard player muddled a lot of her leads. He should fit better with more time I'm assuming

Watch out world! Ally has the voice, the guitar skill, and the supporting band to do great things for years to come. I’ve seen her live twice and will be returning for many more shows in the future.
At 23 years young this girl can play with the big boys.
