by Hondo 45 on 3/8/23Greensboro Coliseum Complex - Greensboro

It was a great get away to watch the Acc women tournament, the crowds was very loud and everyone seems to be having fun, I really enjoy my week of women basketball and enjoying the city of Greensboro.

    good tourney

by CarolinaRN96 on 3/7/23Greensboro Coliseum Complex - Greensboro

Been to a few womens' ACC Tourney games, and it's a good way to spend the afternoon when the teams are playing well. I wish both the men and womens' tourneys would just stay in Greensboro each year, in the heart of Tobacco Road. Would be nice if fans in the upper levels could have better chances of catching t-shirts and balls during the time outs. There were multiple "throwing sessions" during the 2 games on Saturday, and I noticed maybe only 3 or 4 times that the items were even attempted to be thrown up top. Need to find a way for the folks in the upper level to be able to share in the fun.

The games and venue were great! Receiving more t-shirts and prizes is always a good thing.

    Excellent Experiences Yearly

by Wilk on 3/6/23Greensboro Coliseum Complex - Greensboro

What a great day Saturday! Usually my work schedule allows me to attend 2 or 3 days, but that changed this year, and I could only attend Saturday. I can never attend Sunday's championship because of church. I always record it and forbid anyone to tell me the score while I stay off social media until I get to watch it. Having it at 1:00 this year was better, but if it was at 2:00 or later, I could & would make it to G'boro from Raleigh. However, everyone was wonderful from parking to ticket staff to having enough folks around to ask questions. Even though our team (NC State) wasn't playing, my 84 year old mother, niece and I had a super time. Actually, it was more relaxing watching it without a "dog in the fight". We picked a team to pull for and just enjoyed those talented athletic women perform. The DJ's antics were fun; the bands always add a lot, and the half time show was good.. Not sure what was up with the floor while I was buying snacks, but I was able to get back to the game without missing anything. Speaking of food, adding the emapnada restaurant was a great idea! I don't love ballgame food typically and always look for something different. We don't drink alcohol, so that was not a factor although there was plenty available and priced high enough, no one was going to get out-of-control from it. At any venue, the food is always priced too high, but we try to budget for it. It is such a luxury that we have enjoyed for many years. If the Fan Fest could stay open longer, even after the games, that would give us more flexibility since we travel in from Raleigh. Thanks for hosting. Hoping to be able to return next year for more than one day.

    ACC Tournament

by BIGB on 3/6/23Greensboro Coliseum Complex - Greensboro

My wife, daughter and I returned to the ACC Women's Basketball Tournament after 4 years and had a fun time. We were disappointed to find out the times for Fun Fest were not posted so we did miss a portion of them on Friday and Saturday ended at game time so we were only there a portion of the time before tip off. Anyway, all of the volunteers were great and very helpful. As for the games, both of the games were entertaining. However, different tickets for the Friday 11 AM and 2 PM did not work. This needs to be rethought in the future. The crowd from the first game didn't leave in a timely fashion causing those who had tickets to only the second session to wait very long. My only hope is the ACC gets better referees to do the games which is why this is a 4 star instead of a 5 star. It really put a "downer" on the whole experience.

    Not great, not terrible

by Basketball Fan on 3/5/23Greensboro Coliseum Complex - Greensboro

Attended two tournament games, one on Thursday and one on Friday. The games were fun but the coliseum isn’t an impressive venue. Parking attendants had trouble operating their mobile payment devices which led to slower lines and more traffic entering the parking lots. The food was ok but definitely overpriced. The bathrooms are falling apart - several toilets and sinks don’t work. Just not what is used to be.

    Great overall.

by Darlene on 3/5/23Greensboro Coliseum Complex - Greensboro

It was really fun and even though we were in the General Admission part, we had great seats. My only complaint was that I purchased the tickets that included either a hotdog and drink or $5.00 at the concession stand and I didn’t get that when I got my tickets at the window.

Not like it used to be

by Eric on 3/5/23Greensboro Coliseum Complex - Greensboro

The insistence on constantly having sound playing every second the ball wasn't in play was mind numbing. The MC for TV timeouts was purely annoying. And the halftime shows with the mascots were awful.

    Love Women's Basketball!

by Wilk on 3/10/22Greensboro Coliseum Complex - Greensboro

I was blessed to be able to attend two days of the Women's ACC Basketball Tournament in March! Conveniently, I was able to buy two tickets and parking was fine too-not as expensive as I thought it might be. My 83 year old mother went with me for all four games on Friday. My most awesome niece went with me on Saturday. My friend and her 96 year old mother attended Friday and Saturday as well. If you have any influence at all with the TV schedule, PLEASE have them schedule the championship game at 3:00 or 4:00 on Sunday afternoon. 1. Some of us still attend church. I love basketball, but I love worshipping Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior more. From Franklinton, NC, it takes me a good hour or so to get there. I have to record it to see the whole game, but my chair is more comfortable and my snacks are cheaper. 2. "They" would NEVER schedule a men's championship game at noon on a Sunday-so unfair-again. I have been coming for several years and it's always well organized. Last year was the most meaningful because we weren't allowed to attend regular season games no matter how much we begged the university and were willing to have our brains tickled, temperature taken, masked and distanced to attend a game. Those of us that were willing to risk attendance should've been allowed! I digress, each year is a great experience. Everyone working the gates were polite and friendly. I love Fan Fest, the School Day (great opportunity for children), the DJ and all the crazy games and entertainment. The bathrooms are clean and well-kept. I usually take a lap at halftime and between games and it's very nice for that as well. I typically do not buy much food because of the expense. In the future, I hope there will be more vendors along the ramp or perhaps each university could have a recruiter-for the school, not sports.

    Awesome x3

by JM on 3/9/22Greensboro Coliseum Complex - Greensboro

Great venue, love coming here. Grew up going to events in Greensboro and they’ve done a great job keeping the coliseum relevant while maintaining that old home town downtown feel.
