    All Shook Up

by Vikeguy on 2/27/11Adler Theatre - Davenport

Not exactly the story line that I was expecting...but over all it was a very good show. The music was good, the acting very well done. It was funny and very entertaining along with the good music.

The music was very good but we were disappointed in the lead male. His voice was weak at times & we didn't think that he looked like his character should look. We thought the lead male should have been a bit more muscular to portray a roustabout.

    Good level of energy.

by Buckview13 on 2/21/11Baton Rouge River Center Theater - Baton Rouge

Not one I would see more than once. It was entertaining and the cast was very talented. Songs were all good for any age level. The venue, Baton Rouge River Center booked multiple events at the same time and traffic and parking was terrible.

    Left at intermission

by TheaterLoverBR on 2/19/11Baton Rouge River Center Theater - Baton Rouge

I have seen this show done before in an all youth production. I would have preferred to see the same group again. The youth production had better looking sets, more energy, and cleaner dances (yet just as difficult). The sound was terrible. It sounded like they were in a tin can, distant and there was an audible hum. The only positive I can say was the lighting looked good.

ALL SHOOK UP NEEDED MORE "SHAKING UP"

by diamonhead1234 on 2/19/11Baton Rouge River Center Theater - Baton Rouge

We attended ALL SHOOK UP in Baton Rouge, La. 2/17/11 (2 adults, 2 children (age 10). I was a little disappointed with the performance. It needed more "group" singing and dancing. The "speaking" parts were getting boring, long & drawn out towards the end. The main character "Chad" was not the right size for the part. He needed to be a little more "chunkier", a little "larger", and more "muscular". We attended this same play at our local community theatre last year, and honestly, our high school kids did a better job. The actors in your performance were just not "into it". You need to change some parts to make the whole play more enjoyable. Sorry!, but this is only my opinion. The two children (age 10) were so much looking forward to seeing it (I think they were a little disappointed too!)

All Shook Up was great show!

by Oldguy38 on 2/15/11The Plaza Theatre Performing Arts Center - El Paso

What a great evening of Elvis' music! It brought back a lot of memories and was a very enjoyable show. The story line was reminiscent of Grease, Footloose and Happy Days but the music was vintage Elvis. The cast did a wonderful job and seemed to be having as much fun as we did. I heartily recommend this show to all and especially those who loved Elvis and his music.

all shock up was a 50's great

by joyde on 2/15/11The Plaza Theatre Performing Arts Center - El Paso

'all shock up' was a great 50's musical. it brought back many a memory with all the different songs performed. the vocals were excellent and strong. the love themes were exactly a duplicate of those tean age days. i'm not sure if falling in love with 'ed' occured because it wasn't talked about, but then, that is the trueism of the play. this is a show you should not miss.

    Pass on this one...

by javapirate on 2/15/11The Plaza Theatre Performing Arts Center - El Paso

I really expected this production to be entertaining but the lead characters had horrible voices. They sounded whiney and nasaly. This was more like a high school musical with B actors. We left at intermission and have never done that before.
