Alice in Chains in Concert
Five years after their original frontman, Layne Staley, died of a drug overdose, Alice in Chains made an unlikely return in 2007. Surviving band members Jerry Cantrell, Mike Inez, and Sean Kinney recruited frontman William DuVall to join the group, first for some well-received concerts, then to go on tour. Next came a new album, 2009's "Black Gives Way To Blue," which got glowing reviews, entered The Billboard 200 at No. 5, and led to more shows with fast-moving tickets. In 2013, the band released their second post-Staley album, this time reaching No. 2 on The Billboard 200. The only AIC album to chart higher was 1995's self-titled set -- the band's last with Staley -- which reached No. 1.
Alice in Chains' dark take on rock emerged from the same late '80s Seattle scene that also spawned fellow grunge acts Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and Soundgarden, among others. With Staley at the helm, the band recorded rock radio staples like "Rooster," "Heaven Beside You," "Got Me Wrong," and "Would?" The band has been nominated for eight Grammy Awards -- including two with DuVall on the mic -- but so far haven't won an award.

Amazing!!!! Breaking Benjamin was kick ass!!!!! Also
So this was my 3rd concert at Xfinity Arena in the past couple weeks and it was yet again amazing. I’ve never had the opportunity to experience concerts until the beginning of this year and I’m grateful to be experiencing it now. This was my 1st old school grunge rock concert and even though it was cold it was definitely worth it. This tour of Plush Bush Breaking Benjamin and Alice In Chains couldn’t have ended on a better note because all the bands went all out and made memories that I’ll be able to remember forever. I can’t wait until the 2023 season to see what the lineup will be because I definitely know I’ll be at most if not all the shows. Just wish that my girlfriend could’ve been there but I know we’ll go to plenty of more shows together
Every band that opened was very good but AIC knocked it out of the park. Of course we miss Layne but Duvall does an fantastic job and really does the band justice, would absolutely recommend every song is a banger. Grunge Forever!
Excellent show in Palm Beach, FL. The line up was amazing, the music was on point and the venue was impeccable! Thanks for an awesome experience
The music was so great they did the songs i wanted to hear it was just great
This show was incredible. All three bands have headlined before and know how to put on a great show. This was a show that had the best intensity for all three major bands. They all played to the crowd and were full of energy. We left the show saying Wow, that was awesome."
It’s hard to say who was the best band on 10/7 at PNC Bank Arts Center. Bush, Breaking Benjamin and Alice In Chains were EXCELLENT!
Great show and Jerry Cantrell is a legend the band sounded great !!!! The warm bands were just as great !!!!
I enjoyed the band bush and i loved Breaking Benjamin however Alice in Chains were terrible i decided to leave by the fourth song It could have been a 5 had AIC been better
It was the best concert experience of the year. I was the closest ive ever been and the workers were so great. I enjoyed it so much and ill remember it the rest of my life.
It was soooo cold. but the artists' were amazing...
Water is five dollars!! Who can afford that? You can't bring your own water either.
AIC is my favorite band and they never disappoint! They played all their best hits and then some! I will continue to see them live as long as they are still playing!
Waited 20 years to see AIC. Fav band of all time. Got to see them at Jones beach and PNC. Will and Jerry killed it as usual. Mike and Sean never disappoint. U felt the music in your soul including down in a hole and nutshell when all the lights came out as one. Can’t wait to see them again. AIC for life.
Incredible concert, great sound, very interactive with the crowd, great play list and awesome time!!
THIS WAS THE TOUR FINALE AND ALICE AND CHAINS CAME OUT TO PLAY ON A COLD AUTUMN EVENING IN MASSACHUSSETTS. THEY KICKED ASS HIGHLIGHTED BY A SCORCHING RENDITION OF ROOSTER & AN AMAZING COLABORATION WITH BENJAMIN BURNLEY FOR MAN IN THE BOX!!!
All 3 bands killed it, but Alice in Chains stole the show as expected. Gerry Cantrell sounded perfect and can still shred.Bucket list concert, check!
Bush and AIC killed it. Felt like BB played too long of a set and didn’t leave much time for AIC. Was quite disappointed how Bush didn’t play after BB because I believe Bush was the letter live performance and giving the fact that they are more grunge than BB at an AIC concert. Also BB brought a metal crowd to a grunge crowd. This was my second time at the xfinity center and it’s a great venue. Great view no matter where you are. Just outrageous f&b prices. Plus the music could definitely be louder but that’s coming from the lawn. Great visuals and great bands 8.7/10 from me. Will definitely see Bush again, Gavin killed it. Merch Was also really steep. A t-shirt shouldn’t cost more than the ticket.
The only reason this gets five stars was the fact that the concert was excellent, I've waited forever to see Alice in Chains and they did not disappoint, Bush and Breaking Benjamin were also great. If I was only rating the venue it would be one star at best...it was the last show of the season, however it would've been nice to be able to drink more than the one can of water I was lucky enough to find. Every food kiosk was out of water, one would think even though it was the last show of the season that the venue would have been prepared, there was plenty of beer and alcohol even though I do drink, not everyone does or wants to pay the outrageous prices.
The bands were great! the parking was close by and free!!!
