Comedian Ali Siddiq has a unique riff-style comedy that makes you feel like you're hanging out, cracking jokes with a friend, except all the jokes are crafted with perfection -- and hilarious.
But it didn't start that way.
Siddiq started his comedy career behind the walls of incarceration. He didn't always believe that the path to success would lead him to the stage of a comedy club -- but once he started performing, he knew he'd found his calling. While he was incarcerated, Siddiq discovered his knack for entertaining an audience and, after being released, began performing comedy across the country. Not every comedian knows what it's like to spend six years in prison, but Siddiq does, and as a former inmate, he brings a unique perspective and voice to his comedy.
In 2014, Siddiq's "Mexicans Got On Boots" bit on the Comedy Central series "This Is Not Happening" was viewed 15 million times. This ferociously hilarious and detailed story of a prison riot showcased Siddiq's penchant for delighting audiences with his storytelling talent.
Siddiq released his one-hour special, "It's Bigger Than These Bars," on Comedy Central in 2018. Performed at the Bell County Jail in Belton, Texas, the show was inspired by his time spent in prison.
Siddiq is known for being brutally honest and sharing his journey from prison to comedy. His unique style of storytelling has earned him acclaim all over the country. His performances are peppered with his personal experiences, observations and thought-provoking storytelling style focusing on social issues, current events and racism. He brings down the house with his signature blend of laughter and biting commentary, using his experiences as a former inmate to humanize the most controversial topics.
Siddiq touches on these topics as part of conversations he's had in his everyday life. While he has opinions, he doesn't tell the audience how they should think. Instead, Siddiq brings up these subjects to help us all consider how we can work together on them, making him not only a comedian, but a commentator and artist.
Siddiq has toured worldwide, with his work featured on Comedy Central, BET's "ComicView," HBO's "Def Comedy Jam 25," and "The Arsenio Hall Show."
Everywhere he goes, he is known for his ability to take audiences into the depths of his personal experiences and emerge with a punchline that leaves everyone laughing.

Alu was amazing an hilarious. A wonderful story teller!!
We had a blast, celebrating my birthday at the show. It was a great gift! If you have never seen Ali Siddiq live, you are missing a great show. Don’t deny yourself.
Was a good show. Ali was funny. Started on-time and very organized.
Hands down one of the best performances I’ve seen in a long time! My husband and I had a great time 👏🏽
Ali Siddiq put on an awesome performance. He does a great job keeping your attention with entertaining & relatable stories. Also, Marcus D. Wiley was great. I appreciate how they can be funny & use little to no profanity. A must see duo!
Just a great show from the beginning. The music. The opening comic(Marcus Wiley?) Ali Siddiq was great. The end. My husband and I had a wonderful time.
Ali Siddiq is top 5 funniest standup comedian on the circuit right now!! Can’t wait until he gets the buzz he deserves and we start to see him on the big screen. Can’t think of a better storyteller on the scene. This guy literally paints pictures with his words!
Ali Siddiq's stand up show was awesome! I will definitely go see him again!
Very nice building, parking wasn't expensive at all. Drinks were kinda watered down but other than that very nice venue.
This Has Been The Most Fun I’ve Had In Awhile. I’m A Gigantic Fan Of Ali Siddiq & I’ve Been Watching Him For Years, So Going To See Mr. Siddiq Live Was Definitely On My Bucket List & Definitely One For The Books. I Couldn’t Stop Laughing At All. Man, He Just Has A Distinctive Way Of Telling A Story. I Couldn’t Wait To Hear More Stories About His Son Hassan. By The Time I Left The Theatre, I Was Yelling Out “HASSAN” Just Because 😂 Oooouuuu & I Can’t Forget Marcus Wiley Who Blew Me Away As An Opening Act. I Became A Fan Of Him Instantly. His Way With The Crowd Was Impecable. Overall, Mr. Wiley Executed His Jokes Perfectly. This Being The First Comedy Event I’ve Attended, I Really Had An Amazing Time. Them Houston Boys Are Some Bad Mutha Shout Yo Mouth 💯 I’ll Definitely Catch Them Live Again In The Near Future. Not To Mention, I Had An Immaculate View. Being In The PIT (Which Are The Front Row Seats) Made All The Difference. 10 OUT 10, I’d Highly Recommend! Please Catch Them While You Still Can Because These Shows Are Selling Out Fast Like Hot Cakes.
Ali was on my list of comedians to see live and he didn't disappoint, his opener was very funny too... I had a great time at the show and I look forward to seeing him again.
The pool and factory are closed! Ali Siddiq has the presence and life stories that keep me belly laughing. I've listened to him when going through troublesome times while learning a thing a two about healing. I can't want to meet you in person and hear more of your story.
My experience was so inviting and welcoming. Me and my husband have such a laughter of a time and the comedians was so awesome in every way.
The first comedian was good and he made sure everyone could hear him consistently. The audio person had to be told by the DJ to bring up the volume a few times. He didn't get the assignment correctly which made it hard to hear Ali throughout his performance. But nonetheless I enjoyed Ali.
As much as I love this comedian we were very disappointed in the show because we could barely hear him. The sound people could have adjusted the volume or something. Wish we could have enjoyed the show.
I love Ali Saddiq. This is my third time seeing Ali! He is hilarious and the BEST story teller. I also really enjoyed the venue. It is great to see him selling out 4000 seat venues!
I love Ali Siddiq’s story style comedy…I will support him anytime he come thru Savannah
