ALEX SENSATION IN CONCERT:

Superstar DJ and New York radio personality Alex Sensation is one of Caribbean music's biggest champions, bringing his signature blend of bachata, merengue, and electronica to clubs around the world. Whether he's laying it down at a community festival or raising the roof at a sports arena, fans lucky enough to catch Alex on tour in 2014 can expect a rhythm-filled night of dancing to cutting-edge Latin dance music. Returning to Madison Square Garden in 2014 for his annual La Mega Mezcla Live showcase, Alex will be joined by some of Latin music's hottest acts including Wisin, Plan B, and Sean Paul.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Columbian-born Alex Sensation immigrated to the US at a young age, getting his start as a DJ in his teens and landing a job at New York City's legendary Copacabana Club by age 17. Attracting the attention of radio impresario Tony Luna, Alex began mixing on the air, landing a gig as the main DJ of La Mega 97.9 FM's popular "La Mega Mezcla del Mediodia" program. Honing a unique mix of Caribbean-influenced sounds, Alex became one of the Northeast's hottest Latin club DJs. Six years later, he remains La Mega 97.9's most popular DJ, continuing to bring together the brightest talent in Latin music at the annual La Mega Mezcla Live featuring Alex Sensation and Friends concert.

It was an amazing event. Would do all over again in a heartbeat.

  • Not the best

by Luisa on 12/5/22Prudential Center - NewarkRating: 2 out of 5

Everything was way over priced… $17 for chicken tenders? $20 for a drink? The sound wasn’t the best, you couldn’t even hear Nicky Jam sing. Definitely didn’t start at 8pm. Maybe if they started earlier the wouldn’t have to cut off the singer’s mics. The crowd was nasty too. La Mega stooped low having Tokischa on stage, maybe that’s why half the arena was empty. Definitely not returning to a concert at the prudential

  • Not worth the money

by Moni on 12/5/22Prudential Center - NewarkRating: 2 out of 5

I really thought it would be better. Maluma and Nicky jam definitely worth it but the rest sucked and it was so long plus alex sensation only came out at the end. Why didn’t alex present the show from the beginning and hype the concert up. The artists were presented on a screen and that’s it. Alex should have presented from the start of the show. Maluma and Nicky jam killed it.

  • Awesome

by Andra on 12/5/22Prudential Center - NewarkRating: 5 out of 5

All I have to say is omg Alex was rocking the mic. The crowd awesome and we had fabulous seats on the floor. Can’t wait for the next show.

  • Could be better

    by Eliana M. on 12/5/22Prudential Center - NewarkRating: 3 out of 5

They need a better opening and better closing, if the even is for Alex Sensation he was suppose to started, then make an appearance in the middle and close the event. By the time that he gos to stage, a lot of people left the place already. Better organization between artist too, the only one that make an scenario was Maluma, he was the best part of the night.

Overall good concert seating should be labeled for legroom for tall and bigger people. Concert was supposed to start at 8 was 30 minutes late. That is a bad some of us were in line at 6:30 to get in by 7 for a 8 o’clock show

  • The sound system was horrible with the DJ’s

by Addy on 12/5/22Prudential Center - NewarkRating: 1 out of 5

The lighting effects were too much... The sound system was horrible... I was very disappointed 🙁 I will never purchase tickets from Alex Sensation... I prefer to buy tickets for individual artists.

  • It wasnt the best, it was ok.

by The Elitest on 12/5/22Prudential Center - NewarkRating: 3 out of 5

The concert was good but the order of artists was pretty bad. Blessd to open up? That ridiculous. Tokischa should not have been the last artist. People started leaving and she was still on stage. That says a lot!!! A better job needs to be done, with how and who are organized

  • Sound was too loud!

by Fanatiquisimma on 4/16/18AAA - MiamiRating: 4 out of 5

I must say that I was really exited to attend this event for the second year. I really enjoyed the performance of Pitbull, J Balvin, Anita, zion y lenox, and of course Alex sensation. I was very disappointed about the sound when Daddy Yankee performed. the speakers were extremely loud, my chest was pounding and I could not understand a word out of DY. I was not the only person complaining about the loudness of the speakers. I was very disappointed at that because I really wanted to see DY live for the first time. On the other hand I must say that I was very impressed by the order in the parking lot of the AAA arena. Last year the parking was a mess and I did not have my parking space as ordered. But this year, I got my parking space and there was order.

  • La Mega Mezcla:Hours of Fun!

by cuddlykeiks on 4/26/15Madison Square Garden - New YorkRating: 4 out of 5

This mega event was pretty fun! I am from San Francisco, but my family and I traveled to New York to see this huge event-especially for J Balvin, mi novio! I really enjoyed seeing so many artists I listen to on the daily live, even being surprised by unexpected guest appearances! Of course, Daddy Yankee was amazing-he has such speed that is quite untouchable! I could NOT stop screaming, jumping, and singing at the top of my lungs when J Balvin was performing! His handsomeness, voice, and dancing is so amazing live-I couldn't help but fall even deeper in love with him. Some of the other greats who appeared were: De La Ghetto, Farruko, J Alvarez, Arcangel, Tony Dize, DJ Allex Sensation, Maluma, Maffio, Shaggy, French Montana, Nicky Jampr, Zion y Lennox, Don Omar... My favorite moment was when J Balvin took a moment to bask in the moment, closing his eyes and smiling the largest smile ever! He then shook his head in satisfaction and proceeded into "Ay Vamos!" Overall, it was really fun, a great experience of exposure and entertainment. I just wish that the sets were longer for each performer, but I guess a party can't last 24 hours;) Thank you Alex Sensation and Ticketmaster for this delightful opportunity! I am so happy I was able to be a part of this experience.
