About

You may identify him by his trademark mask and hoodie, yet behind the mysterious character is the Norwegian artist, DJ and producer Alan Walker. With more than 50 billion audio and video streams worldwide, and over 115 million followers across social media, it is safe to say that the 24-year old has already put a lasting imprint on the music scene since he first made his mark few years ago.

Born in Northampton, England to a Norwegian mother and British father, Walker moved with his family to Bergen, Norway, at the age of two. Being a true post-millennial child, he grew up surrounded by technology and became fascinated by programming, gaming and graphic design. Inspired by EDM pioneers as well as his natural love for film scores, Walker quickly converged his inspiration and musical influences when he first started to experiment with music production. He shared his creations with the world, making use of the tools of the digital age, with early tracks gaining traction and millions of plays on YouTube and SoundCloud. Through innovative and forward-thinking formats such as online label NoCopyrightSounds, his music was exposed to fans across the globe.

One of these tracks was later re-released as his commercial debut "Faded" at the end of 2015. The single quickly spread like wildfire and has since earned multi-platinum certifications around the world, and billions of plays across streaming services. A string of popular singles has followed, including All Falls Down, Darkside and Alone Pt. II featuring global artists like Noah Cyrus and Ava Max. Through his successful run of releases, Walker has also collaborated with and remixed music from artists like A$AP Rocky, Miley Cyrus, Sia, Bruno Mars, Avicii, Steve Aoki, Coldplay, Kygo, Charli XCX, Julia Michaels and many more.

Today, Alan Walker is one of the most in-demand and sought-after artists on the scene, and a constant figure amongst the 100 most popular artists on Spotify. After claiming the top spot in his native Norway over 7 times, he finally released his massively successful debut album Different World in late 2018. Walker has so far played more than 600 headliner and festival shows, including Coachella, Tomorrowland, Ultra Music Festival, Lollapalooza, as well his own worldwide sold out arena tour The Aviation Tour. Since his 2015 debut, the young star has received multiple awards and nominations, including 4x Norwegian Grammys wins, 3x MTV EMAs wins, a BRIT Awards nomination for Song of the Year, Billboard 21 under 21, and a Billboard Awards nomination - all while being one of the most followed artists in the world.

Beyond the impressive accolades and staggering streaming numbers, is also his own extensive online community of fans - the Walkers. With millions of followers across his social channels, Alan Walker holds a unique position, communicating with the Walkers directly through his fingertips. Through his music, the Walker community finds a sense of belonging and unity amongst each other, and Walkers all share the ideology of Walker's message, that we can all come together regardless of our background. With the entire world as his playground, and the majority of his career still ahead of him, it's impossible to predict what the future holds for the young artist - who has quickly become the voice of his generation.

Alan Walker has played shows at famous venues such as the Buckhead Theatre, LIV, and Marquee Nightclub.

    Phenomenal!!!

by Walker 20134 on 12/5/22Hollywood Palladium - Hollywood

Oh I loved this event more than anything. I knew it was going to be amazing cause of course Alan Walker, but the unity of looking around at any point in time and being able to sing with your friends or a random stranger was the best feeling in the world. Everyone there was so kind. The show itself was top notch! The visuals were crazy captivating and wherever you are the bass was heavy and music super clear. Any and every opportunity I have to see him again, is an one I will gladly jump on.

    Amazing Show!!!

by Timothyrpiano on 12/5/22Hollywood Palladium - Hollywood

Alan Walker's show at Hollywood Palladium on December 1st was amazing! I was so lucky enough to be front and center to witness everything! The opening acts were great. Telykast performed one of my favorite songs right now, "I'm Good (Blue)" by David Guetta and Bebe Rexha. I was so hyped when that came on. I didn't expect to wait 4 hours before Alan Walker came on the stage, but it was definitely worth the wait! This was my first ever front row concert, and it was honestly the best experience I've ever had at a show. Alan Walker had a great setlist performing a lot of my favorite songs from him, including "On My Way," "Alone Pt. II," "Hello World," "Not You," "Ritual," and more. He also had amazing visual effects. I loved seeing the fire, smoke, lasers, confetti, and the screen effects. It was also so cool that he brought out 3 special guests to perform with him for this show including Au/Ra, Sophie Simmons, and Trevor Daniel. "Lovesick" is one of my favorite songs right now, so I'm so happy that I got to see Alan Walker and Simmons perform it together live for the first time. I also really enjoyed all the times Au/Ra came out on stage to perform. She performed two other of my favorite songs with Alan Walker "Somebody Like U" and "Man On The Moon." The privilege of being front row is that the artist can make direct eye contact with you, and you both can connect and sing the songs back to each other. That's exactly what happened with Au/Ra and I. I've never had that experience before in concert. I actually got to briefly talk to her after the show to congratulate her on a great performance. She was really nice. I wish her the best with her career in the future. She's so talented, and I love her voice. This was actually the first time I met an artist that has been consistently on my playlist. The song she did with Afrojack and R3HAB "Worlds On Fire" has been on repeat the past couple of months. Overall it was an amazing experience and I definitely hope to go to future shows.

Alan was great but the venue experience WAS NOT

by anonymous on 12/5/22Hollywood Palladium - Hollywood

Ticket said 8 pm. It started at 9 pm. There were three people before and Alan came out at 12:30 am. The problem was there was no mention of the previous artists and their names ANYWHERE. Literally did not know what time Alan Walker was supposed to come out until he posted on his Instagram about 2 hours before. It's absolutely disappointing to not know the exact time your artist that you paid money to see..... was supposed to come out and you're waiting an entire night. There was definitely communication problems between the venue and audience about what time artists were coming out to play.

    Alan Walker LA

by DJ Rater on 12/5/22Hollywood Palladium - Hollywood

The music of the guest DJs were so bad, but Alan was still very good. Unfortunately, the female singers did not perform well live.

Didn’t come on until 4.5 hours after open

by DJ Face on 12/4/22Hollywood Palladium - Hollywood

I came to see Alan Walker and paid good money to do so. Concert started at 8pm and he didn’t come on until 12:30am. I waited until 11:30 and then left. The opening acts were mostly duds. Had I known he was coming 4.5 hours late I would have shown up much later. There should have been an email or some kind of notice. This sucked.

Saw him perform at the Hollywood palladium. Small personal venue. Wasnt overly crowded got close to the stage and still had plenty of room to dance. (Was a thursday night) The live singers added to the experience. Was such a great time. 10/10 would recommend you go see him.

Alan Walker does not take the stage at 8pm, but at 12:30am

    by M. on 12/2/22

Went to see Alan Walker last night, and I just wanted everyone else out there to know what happened, so they're not mislead! Comment if this has ever happened to you! So, heres' the thing. Took the day off to see Alan Walker. Arrived early. The start time on the marquee and tickets said 8:00 PM. Who know? No mention that it wasn't JUST an Alan Walker performance. I was told he didn't arrive to perform on stage until early the NEXT morning. Comment below if you experienced this same problem during Alan Walker's performance and what you did. I left with $450 in unused VIP tickets.

    An incredible experience!

by Drake Little on 11/21/22House of Blues Boston - Boston

I was looking forward to seeing Walker for months, and it did not disappoint! The staff at the House Of Blues were very professional and friendly. They did a great job of keeping everyone safe while enjoying a great show! I loved that they provided water for everyone. The venue was perfect for the show too- small enough to be intimate but you could feel the overwhelming energy of everyone there. It will certainly be one of my best memories.

6.5 out of 10 (Alan walker is top 5 fav artist btw)

by Johnyboi on 11/18/22House of Blues Boston - Boston

First off the warm up djs sucked! And they played for 1.5 hours, wayyyy too long!!! Second the music was too loud for the Alan walker performance. In parts it was so loud it distorted the music he was playing! And more importantly it was so loud it was hard to hear the live singer (The most important part!!!) It was overall enjoyable but it could have been so much better!!!

    Too late

by DS on 11/18/22House of Blues Boston - Boston

The concert started at 8pm, with 2 DJS. They were good but each played for an hour so Alan play at 10pm. As a parent who brought my kid to his favorite artist but unfortunately we had to leave in the middle of concert. My kid was very sad to not finish to enjoy the whole concert, due school next day. I have been many times at the House of blues but this time it was a very late concert. We enjoyed part of it. As my experience to go to concerts. Usually the openers just play for an hour then the main singer start the concert.

    Awesome except....

by Violet on 11/18/22House of Blues Boston - Boston

The concert itself was awesome, staff was helpful, and technical details like sound quality were amazing. The only exception was the "foundation room". Paying extra for VIP tickets and reading the description gave the impression of meeting the artist (Alan Walker) and that was not true.
