About

You may identify him by his trademark mask and hoodie, yet behind the mysterious character is the Norwegian artist, DJ and producer Alan Walker. With more than 50 billion audio and video streams worldwide, and over 115 million followers across social media, it is safe to say that the 24-year old has already put a lasting imprint on the music scene since he first made his mark few years ago.

Born in Northampton, England to a Norwegian mother and British father, Walker moved with his family to Bergen, Norway, at the age of two. Being a true post-millennial child, he grew up surrounded by technology and became fascinated by programming, gaming and graphic design. Inspired by EDM pioneers as well as his natural love for film scores, Walker quickly converged his inspiration and musical influences when he first started to experiment with music production. He shared his creations with the world, making use of the tools of the digital age, with early tracks gaining traction and millions of plays on YouTube and SoundCloud. Through innovative and forward-thinking formats such as online label NoCopyrightSounds, his music was exposed to fans across the globe.

One of these tracks was later re-released as his commercial debut "Faded" at the end of 2015. The single quickly spread like wildfire and has since earned multi-platinum certifications around the world, and billions of plays across streaming services. A string of popular singles has followed, including All Falls Down, Darkside and Alone Pt. II featuring global artists like Noah Cyrus and Ava Max. Through his successful run of releases, Walker has also collaborated with and remixed music from artists like A$AP Rocky, Miley Cyrus, Sia, Bruno Mars, Avicii, Steve Aoki, Coldplay, Kygo, Charli XCX, Julia Michaels and many more.

Today, Alan Walker is one of the most in-demand and sought-after artists on the scene, and a constant figure amongst the 100 most popular artists on Spotify. After claiming the top spot in his native Norway over 7 times, he finally released his massively successful debut album Different World in late 2018. Walker has so far played more than 600 headliner and festival shows, including Coachella, Tomorrowland, Ultra Music Festival, Lollapalooza, as well his own worldwide sold out arena tour The Aviation Tour. Since his 2015 debut, the young star has received multiple awards and nominations, including 4x Norwegian Grammys wins, 3x MTV EMAs wins, a BRIT Awards nomination for Song of the Year, Billboard 21 under 21, and a Billboard Awards nomination - all while being one of the most followed artists in the world.

Beyond the impressive accolades and staggering streaming numbers, is also his own extensive online community of fans - the Walkers. With millions of followers across his social channels, Alan Walker holds a unique position, communicating with the Walkers directly through his fingertips. Through his music, the Walker community finds a sense of belonging and unity amongst each other, and Walkers all share the ideology of Walker's message, that we can all come together regardless of our background. With the entire world as his playground, and the majority of his career still ahead of him, it's impossible to predict what the future holds for the young artist - who has quickly become the voice of his generation.

Alan Walker has played shows at famous venues such as the Buckhead Theatre, LIV, and Marquee Nightclub.

    Great!

    by A. L. on 8/12/23

The only down side was the heat! I wish I had known the time he was going to play for sure. I waited hours and hours. It was worth it though!

    Great experience

    by Mel on 8/1/23

Great show! Great set! Great DJ!! I love Talking Stick, but this event was at the end of July when it’s the hottest triple digit temps in AZ. I get that it’s summertime, but they either need to do it at a different time of year or come up with some better shade because I thought I was gonna die from heat stroke.

    Timelines

by Ari on 5/31/23Seminole Hard Rock Tampa Event Center - Tampa

Alan Walker's set was awesome per usual. However, there was no stated time when his set was starting. So we waited for literal hours. Would've definitely appreciated knowing when his set would start.

    Outstanding Show and Amazing Talent!

by AJL1222 on 12/11/22Bill Graham Civic Auditorium - San Francisco

As a huge fan of his music, I was so excited to see Alan Walker in person. He did not disappoint with the perfect playlist, videos, light show, fire, confetti, and other special effects. I was also thrilled that he had a few live singers to highlight some of the songs. Alan brought so much energy and fun to his performance, and he seems genuinely warm and nice. Absolutely talented artist and has incredible melodies and great beats. I can't wait to see him on tour again!

This show was amazing. The stage, was awesome with holographic images, smoke, laser beams, and confetti at the end. The artists were engaging with the crowd, my first EDM concert experience and it was unforgettable, a must see and totally worth it.

    REALLY, REALLY ENJOYED

by trinibaby652 on 12/7/22Bill Graham Civic Auditorium - San Francisco

I didn't catch the name of the opening DJ, but she was pretty good. When Alan Walker finally came on, it was amazing. I loved all of the songs that he played. The venue was cool, but someone had thrown up on the floor, and it was bad... Tried our best to move far from it, but it was a packed crowd. Loved the energy that he gives off, and the show was just amazing. I wished that he would have stayed longer though. Would definitely go see him a 3rd time.

Alan walker delivered on an excellent performance, the last of his Walkerverse tour. I’m so blessed to be able to participate in an epic music and light show. He (and the other startup acts) delivered the goods.

    Bad feelings

by I am very disappointed on 12/6/22Bill Graham Civic Auditorium - San Francisco

I received an email saying that the Alan Walker show starts on Dec. 3, 22 at 8 pm. We arrived at the venue at 7:30 pm. By 8:00 pm, Alan was not on stage. But there was a male DJ playing music for the crowd. Then the lady DJ with red hair continued the performance from that male DJ. They played music for people to dance from 8.00 pm.-10.25 pm. We didn't like it at all. And was very angry. Alan started the show at 10.26 pm. Alan performed well but I couldn't enjoy it. I paid for three tickets for $564.70, but got a seat very far from the stage, despite previously being on the website. V… said it was the closest seat to the stage. But it's not what I expected. Because it's different from many singers' performances that I've seen before. For this place, who can sit or stand anywhere? No one walks you to your chair. Do you have to look for an empty chair or do you have to stand in an empty space? Did you know that I drove 5 hours from home to see Alan? Walker in San Francisco. I had to drive through heavy rain and snow. My family and I feel the worst. This will be my first and last visit to Alan Walker.
