Recently inducted to the Country Music Hall of Fame, Alan Jackson’s membership among country music’s all-time greats is the latest in a long line of career-defining accolades that include three CMA Entertainer of the Year honors, more than 25 years of membership in the Grand Ole Opry, a 2016 Billboard ranking as one of the Top 10 Country Artists of All-Time, induction to the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, and the Heritage Award as the most-performed country songwriter-artist of ASCAP’s first 100 years.
The man from rural Newnan, GA has sold nearly 60-million albums worldwide, ranks as one of the 10 best-selling male vocalists of all-time in all genres. He has earned more than 150 music industry awards – including 18 Academy of Country Music Awards, 16 Country Music Association Awards, a pair of Grammys and ASCAP’s Founders and Golden Note Awards.
Jackson is one of the most successful and respected singer-songwriters in music. He is in the elite company of Paul McCartney and John Lennon among songwriters who’ve written more than 20 songs that they’ve recorded and taken to the top of the charts. Jackson is one of the best-selling artists since the inception of SoundScan, ranking alongside the likes of Eminem and Metallica. by BenS on 7/11/09Nokia Theatre At Grand Prairie - Grand PrairieThe wife and I snagged last minute cheap seat tickets with no expectation of seeing or hearing well. The seat locations ... well as I said, there was no expectation so we can't complain about being as high and as far back as the rows went. However, when Alan hit the stage we could have cared less where we were sitting. He came out, didn't screw around and just started singing hit after hit. With the concert being in the Dallas area he included an oldie called "If Dallas Was In Tennessee" and also made other references to the area, which was thoughtful. I've seen Alan before and I will be seeing him again for sure. It turned out to be a great experience and I'd give it five stars were it not for the seating, which was our own fault.

If you want to make a little more money let the folks in a little earlier. I would come to this venue again for more country artists.

We had been to this theatre several times for other events so I knew it was a good place to see concerts. Josh Turner was the opening act and he did a superb job as well. We had good seats, nice drinks and the AC was working! Alan did a fantastic job entertaining the crowd. Well worth the money spent!
