AJR IN CONCERT:
New York-based brother band AJR is generating significant buzz with their unique blend of barbershop harmonies, dubstep beats, and internet-savvy lyrical references. The trio's success with debut single "I'm Ready" has inevitably drawn comparisons to fellow brother outfit Hanson, but AJR's eclectic sound and DIY approach put them in a category all their own. From bright handclaps and playful samples to energetic ukulele and guitar strumming, AJR have crafted an endlessly creative sound that always leaves fans wanting more on their unforgettable tours.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
AJR is comprised of brothers Adam, Jack, and Ryan Met. The native New Yorkers got their start as street performers, playing covers of songs by the Beach Boys and Vampire Weekend in parks around Manhattan. The brothers released their debut single "I'm Ready" in 2013, tweeting it out to a number of celebrities in the hopes of getting discovered. The tactic worked -- the song caught the eye of SIA, who helped AJR secure a management deal. As the group's reputation continued to grow, they made their first TV appearances with performances on Good Day New York and VH1's Big Morning Buzz show. In late 2013 AJR released the I'm Ready EP, a solid debut that earned them opening slots on tour with big-name acts like Demi Lovato and the Wanted. A rising young act with talent to the gills, AJR have ticket buyers eagerly awaiting their upcoming tour dates.
The concert was amazing - my niece and I sat in the orchestra - about middle - but the venue feels intimate even if you aren't that close; The food and drink options were plentiful - I just wish the bathrooms weren't so far away from the seats - but understand that they need to be away from the 1st floor for traffic flow. Easy to get in and find the seats and easy to depart
the AJR brothers out did themselves. what an amazing show!!! still blown away today as I think about all the different pieces they put together. I can’t wait for their next one! I’ve been to over 30 concerts in the past few years and this one topped every one by a landslide! I’ve been following them for a few years. Saw them in Ft Lauderdale at Revolution. So proud of them and so excited for what their future holds!
AJR is one of the most incredible groups to see perform live. The Neotheater tour is so well thought out and you can see that they put so much effort into every piece of the show. Their dedication to their fans and their music is something really special and it is so worth seeing them. I ,personally, would see this show again.
From the very start of the concert they grab your attention and not only are you excited for which song they are going to sing next you are in awe of what they are going to do next. The crowd did not sit and sang to every song! You leave the show walking on the clouds and wanting more!
This concert was amazing! I have seen AJr once before this and thought that they had put on a great show before that. But they out did themselves. The show was perfect for the venue!!
Awesome show and venue, brought my son for his first show and we couldn’t have been happier with his first concert experience.
More of a show than a concert. The view was great, seats were comfortable, the audio was very clear, the graphics were so cool and everything was amazing
AJR was amazing, and the graphics were incredible. The overall experience was just perfect. I had a great time and so did everyone I know who was there.
This was genuinely the best concert I have ever been to. I love AJR, and their showmanship is beyond belief. They had fantastic energy that kept the crowd excited the whole show, and I loved how they utilized the stage at Radio City Music Hall. Very creative and I would definitely recommend it.

From visual displays rivaling a theater show, to songs that make you scream (and sometimes cry) your heart out, AJR gave a performance worth of Radio City and worth much more than the ticket I paid for. Having started listening to their music when they were on YouTube, it was a proud moment for me to be able to show my support by attending a full blown concert that ended up being one of the best shows I've ever had the privilege to attend.

Radio city musice hall was the best venue for this amazaing concert. AJR did not dissappoint. Amazing music matched by an amazing performance.
When AJR sings, “This is my imagination, this is how it looks and sounds,” this is exactly what they mean. This show met and exceeded all expectations. Every moment seemed meticulously planned and executed and every member of the band (with a special highlight moment for trumpeter JJ) had a time to shine. The show engulfs you in a world I still don’t want to leave 3 days later. There are many surprises in store, get to this show as soon as possible.
I left the venue speechless. I feel like every AJR show, I say the same thing: "you've outdone yourselves!" But for this show, that's an understatement. I was welcomed to the Neotheater and it truly is unlike any AJR show you've seen. So many incredible, unexpected and even some nostalgic moments that made for the most unique concert I've ever been to. Neotheater Tour really is more than a concert. It's a show; a Broadway show; a "movie Pixar type thing carnival," as my sister put it; and so much more. Adam, Jack and Ryan created a whole world on that stage. Whatever Neotheater is, THAT was it. Thanks, AJR, for always being that much-needed escape into what can only be described now as a Neotheater.
I’ve been a fan of AJR since I saw them in 2014 at Kfest. This is the third time I’ve seen them and honestly their show is always unique and a surprise! They are always elevating what they do! I honestly don’t know how they can come up with such amazing shows! The amount of time and effort that goes in to each show is proof of their dedication to give their fans the best experience!!!
This was the best show I’ve ever been to. Ticketmaster helped make it better. I bought a ticket for my friend, and I was able to easily transfer it to her in case we didn’t meet up in the city beforehand, and for easier entry access. The show was amazing, and I was lucky to get great seats at a very affordable price!
Every detail was creative, thought out, fun, high tech and super talented. These guys are awesome
